She has nothing to lose if she calls especially if she’s an Authorized Representative in your application(I imagine she is). The IRCC call center people can’t provide good enough updates on applications processed outside Canada though.
Better still your wife should send a compassionate email/webform to Lagos, Abuja and Nairobi. Explaining how the distance and separation from you negatively impacts her mental health, how settling in Canada without her spouse has been difficult blah blah.
She can go a mile further & even reach out to the MP of the ridding where she lives. They can help make inquiries on behalf of a PR’s spouse.
P.S: I personally know 3 PRs that did this and approval came within a week for their spouses.
I did same for my MIL and PPR dropped the following week after 3 month delay. All the best!

1. Can I submit my passport by proxy? Like to send someone to submit my passport for me.

Nairalanders I noticed on this travel section we don't have any forum for people that intend to travel to Canada just for visiting or tourism we only got Canada student visa forum and when people try to ask for help on there people don't render any help. Not that I know it all, I have that first and info concerning Toronto POE, and that's why I'm helping people here with it, Toronto POE border officers are very strict and they can refuse people entry into Canada, they do it many times, so I'm just trying to help in a little way I can to save my fellow African brothers and sisters from such bad experience , you know once they turn you back flight ticket to and fro don burn be that, maybe over 2m naira... Many people even do borrow the money to go self, some sell their cars or house, so where such person wan go raise that kind money again if Toronto POE send am back?


Pls always pass Montreal POE if it's your first time, even if you are going for visit in Ontario which is in Toronto, yes Montreal border officers will ask you why u come thru Montreal when ur destination is Ontario... Don't tell them because you heard they are nice ooo and Toronto POE is harsh o, them go send u back be that, just tell them it's your ticketing agent that booked the flight for you that he said as at the time this flight was the cheapest he got, so you didnt mind, with such excuse they will pass you in.
