That's good, posting an Ishola Olawale to Lagos and an Uche Anya to Ebonyi sounds good. In crime detention and prevention, there's nothing as reassuring as having a person who understands the terrain to control all policing activities. Someone who speaks the language, knows the roads (probably grew up in the area) and understands the cultures of a people they are policing will always do a better work.

Policing shouldn't always be about fighting crime, but building a society where the people are comfortable enough to report crime and criminal information to the police, knowing that their identities will be protected, and they will get the necessary cooperation from the force to prevent any other crimes in the future.

I will always stand for police controlled by state governments, that's the only way each state can control the enforcement of law and order in every state.

Posting a CP that knows the area will lead to corruption, CP job is supervising and mainly administration, they are never on the field or have any duty in times of investigation,

they mostly go through what has been done and give approval or disapproval.

The OC, the IPO are the ones that understand the terrain better, if you go to some commands you will see some officers that have been in that command for more than 10years, they groom another one close to 10-15years, b4 they are been transferred or retired.

When you bring an hausa man as AIG zone 2, Lagos, you will not easily penetrate him, but if it's a yoruba man, they will be throwing cash to him through his PA.

Good morning guys.
So yesterday, I went with my mechanic to get this car. We left from Ifo Ogun state to Ikorodu.
He inspected the car and affirmed that the engine hasn't been tampered with and the gear was in good shape, although there were obvious exterior flaws which didn't matter to me and the automated dashboard wasn't working. We paid and took off, getting to Agege, the car broke down due to overheating and while at it, the gasket was burnt, the radiator wasn't good.
Some men helped push it to a mechanic workshop around (the mechanic with me came from Ogun state so apparently there's no way he could fix it without his tools).
The Agege's Kazeem charged 70k to change the gasket, fix these radiator, oil gauge stick because it's burnt and oil (engine oil and gear oil) just an extensive servicing though.

Now my questions are;
Seller is swearing that his car wasn't overheating hitherto.
1) is it my Kazeem's fault that he couldn't spot the overheating till it got that bad?
2) Car is parked at Agege and we are asked to return on Tuesday (I've paid for everything including even to fix the dashboard (37k). Who is to cover these expenses? Especially as the car didn't even follow me to my state let alone home? The seller or me?
3) is 37k not overcharged for a dashboard? (Asking for future's purpose not like I can get the money back.
4) We've scanned the car and it's alright save for the overheating. My confusion is, could the overheating (radiator was leaking water) have started few minutes of us driving from Ikorodu or it has most definitely been an issue before now? Abi my Kazeem is just an overrated idiot.

If its Toyota, that engine might requires ringing .

I'm yet to understand Emefiele's offense. Normally he was a Bank Executive and also a CBN Governor so there's no way he wouldn't own valuable properties. They keep looking for any reason to condemn him but none seems substantiated.

What Punch and other media is doing is to keep attacking Emiefele, they intentionally link Emiefele to this story, knowing fully well, this case is against 3 CBN staffs. That were doing dollar round tripping during Buhari tenure, this case has nothing to do with Emiefele.

This is a case against Olubimi makinde and other 2 CBN staffs, that use their positions to be getting dollars and selling to the black market.

You're a deeply mistrusting person, in whatever you want to do, pls try to keep trust at first until the person you're trusting breaks the trust...

And the moment you see any red flags, quickly do away with that person but if you believed there's no trust in any business, you won't be able to do any business....

I believe you trust yourself to some extent, if you can trust yourself and you want someone to entrust their business in your care, why can't you do same to others? Trust is something that is being built, you go in first with it and leave the moment the trust isn't there anymore.

We will all need each other, you can't do it alone, you give service and require service from others

If the foundation of your business is base on trust, that business will fail. Is only in Nigeria somebody wants to buy something, he will use the words trust to pay for it.

I have a friend that came to me for HP, a good Christian, one of the best born again, when he came to me for HP, he told me he has driven for me, for 1 year that we don't need contract for the HP, bla bla bla. That I should just type on whatsapp the car is going for 3.3illion then, just simple writing, that I should be rest assured of my payment. I replied with capital NO.

Then we sign the agreement, and he went on to default 12times and when I wanted to terminate, he show me the real tiger in him,

Claiming he has paid half, I can't terminate anymore, I refer him to the contract terms, the same contract I make Sure he sign all the pages, he now started denying some clauses, he called his brother a police with DCP rank to intimidate Me, that I retrieve the car illegally, I respond against his Police brother with a petition in Force headquaters and Police service Commision Abuja. His brother started denying, he never involves himself in a civil matter,

then he ran to court, putting all sort of lies forgetting he sign an agreement that says, he will be paying penalty fees for default and the penalty fees was accumulating 5k interest weekly as agreed in the contract. We counter sue him and the court orders him to pay the Total money acumulated which is over 2million naira, and he still loose the car.

My business principles don't use trust to exchange money. It will back fire.

As an intending car owner partners, if you have trust issues, do not engage in any transportation business, either you meet an honest driver or not, once that trust issue kicks in, you will never believe anything that comes from your drivers...

There is no trust in business, even if you are selling goods, don't trust your goods with somebody, he will surely take advantage.

Drivers are currently balling, as most owners are not getting the right update.

Most Corolla owners are not aware Corolla engine is 950k, so when you have engine issue, prepare to cough out 1million and above to sort it. If your rent is 50k weekly for you to recover the 1million you will need consistent weekly payment for 5 good month to recover

Drivers hide under Tinubu harsh economy, by claiming the business is bad, high cost of fuel bla bla bla, but they refuse to say anything about riders paying super high fees, to move from one point to another point.

You painted a generalized scenario of bad drivers. But I tell you not all drivers are bad as been portrayed here.

On this thread we have seen drivers go through HP deal and completed payment.

Same with rental, there are drivers paying weekly without default and maintaining the car.

So it all depends on individual.

Is not about been bad, if you are asking me to release my car for 25k and you are doing ajo of 100k weekly, you are only exploting the situation, because I know nothing about the business.

That APC Emilokan guy, called me then, canvassing me to release my car to him for 40k, that I should be rest assured, my car is in good hands, bla bla bla, I told him to visit LASG car, that I am not interested. If I don't know much about the business, I will gladly release the car for 40k, but at the end of 6months when wear and tear comes then you will know it was a stupid decision.

but what the owner made is not enough to compensate for the depreciation the driver inflicted on the car ..... that's a big L for the owner

Even if you are doing 50k a week, you are still on high risk of not making any money, that money you will collect will go back into fixing the car.

Every month you must service that car, if you don't service that car every month the engine will have sludge and once engine start having sludge, say goodbye to that engine within couple of months

To service car now takes 25k cheapest with oil filter that is if you are using that Nigeria Mobil x.

For me is a high risk business.

If the 2shock eventually fail because of bad roads 40k will be needed, ball joint, linkages, bad tires. The list goes on and on.

Because the rent the old driver was paying You, was nothing, you have no money to fix, you want the next driver to manage with you, let's see if we can survive the situation together,

the next driver will end up destroying the car more and won't even give u a dime, some of them can be so wicked, they know your location is lekki, they will take a trip to ikotun, when they get to ikotun, they will call you the car is misbehaving, that he need to get a mechanic to fix it, then the next thing, the mechanic says 8k, the little money you are expecting has been short changed.

In transport business there is no such thing as side income, is either you come in fully and face the battle, and be ever ready for the fight.

Thank God you said for 6 months no issues. Both owner and driver were happy because car was not giving issue for those 6 months.
That's my own argument.
Drivers that abuse cars depends on individual mentality.

That 25k week, is 100k a month. So in 6months, he collected 600k.

To paint that car to standard, it will cost 150k panel beta will collect at least 30k. Just for body 180k gone. So remaining 420, he might need to overhaul the legs, one side of shock absorber is 20k if you are now changing hub it will cost you one side 50k, the 4tires must be gone each tire is 10/12k. At the end of everything you are putting back close to 400 to 500k to put back the car in good shape.

If he damage the car way more than, your family and friends will come to your rescue.

Yes. I'm a driver ATM.
Well, some owner may not give out a bad car deliberately as you said.
I have witnessed owner given out a problematic car and expected that the driver will work and provide money to fix any issues as it arise.
It all depends on individual owners. So don't generalize it.
Driver's are in a better position to share their experiences with car owners in this business.
Is both ways, there are honest drivers and honest owners.
There are also dishonest owners and drivers.

In transport, drivers are more like vampire looking for owners blood to suck, when you catch them in their games, they play the victim card, the greedy rich car owner vs the humble poor driver game.

If Korope in lekki ajah axis delivers 70k weekly, why will uber driver that makes 30/35k in a day, ( between Fri/Sat/Sun/mon/ wants to deliver 40/50k. You better sell that corolla for 3.5/4millionand give ur self rest of mind.

I dey pity most office owners, they are just in it for side income.

If you are office owner and you need extra income, just on Sundays or Satuday you can make, 35/40k after fueling, expenses, why not forget going to church, and focus on ur survival, don't do any damn big boy amd allow one greedy driver to ruin your car, Toyota Corolla engine is almost 1million naira, so tell me how long you will collect that 40/50k to buy another engine, if the car engine gets damaged?

I will also advise not to do car rentals too at this time if you value your vehicle.

Anybody renting out his car at the moment, will go bankrupt, there is no 2 ways about it.

I am well experience in this business.

I only release some of my cars to couple of drivers on certain conditions. The ones I know and they live within my area. You can only drive 3days in a week. Thursday,Friday, Saturday or Friday, Saturday, Sunday.

Sharing formula, I take all 2days earning, (and there is a minimum you will earn) and you take 1day. Once you close work you park my car and it will rest for another 4days.

Close monitoring, no room for nonsense.

When you face tough economy, you take tough decisions.

So how much did Obi generate in Anambra for 8 years?

What was the poverty rate in Anambra under Peter Obi?

I have mentioned 2 wonders Tinubu did to show transparency. Show me 1 wonder Obi did to show transparency. I'm here.

Taxing the poor to generate billions for the government is that an achievement?

Just like agberos forcefully collecting money from danfo drivers, that should be an achievement for the Union, bc they are generating billions, nobody cares if that danfo has engine issue or the man has to borrow money from friends and family to repair the bus, the agbero own is to sha forcefully collect money from the driver.

Na so so rumor this one dey listen to.

Tinubu lacked transparency, who was the first person to automate tax collection in this country to propel transparency?

Who was the first person to use technology to remove ghost workers in this country?

You said his friend won the bid, should his enemy win it?

So how was Obi transparent in Anambra? How? By buying fuel himself?
By refusing to appoint local government chairmen for 7 and half years and pocketing all their security votes?

How exactly? I want to learn.

NNPC no longer receives payment, CBN receives payment and NNPC handles procurement and export.

Finally cybersecurity levy has been reversed.

Under Freedom of information act, we have right to know the procurement details of fuel. How much are we paying the refining company in Europe, how much is shipping cost, and other details. This will help Nigerians arrive at how much NNPC is spending to arrive 600naira per liter.

Automate tax collection is not transperency, you are only doing that for easier way to generate more Money.

Removing ghost workers, that is good one,
He is only doing it because he wants to steal more to his pocket. Just like hyena stealing from leopard.

the damage lack of transperency is doing to our economy is more horrible.

The biggest problem Nigeria has is spending problem, our procurement process is always in a shabby way, procurement is where we need transperency. Show us the buying details in Europe, you refuse.

should his enemy win the bid? There is a procurement law in Nigeria, if he is not following due process, he is nothing but a thief.

Anambra use to be a super poor state, Obi really did wonders with transperency, during his time.

If you like continue to campaign for Tinubu, me I will continue to adjust to whatever the economy gives.

I remember the last few weeks you called me for a car for rent, I told you my conditions and you were laementing, the price is too much bla bla bla and I asked you then, am I Tinubu that destroy the economy? So why will I carry your problems. And advise you to go to LASG car so they can make life easy for you.

Anyway all the best in your future endeavour as you continue your Tinubu as.s licking job

So if Peter Obi or Atiku had won and they removed subsidy like they promised, the price of peak milk will remain the same?

The difference between obi and Tinubu Is way too much. Tinubu lack transperency in everything, because he wants to steal. Look at Lagos to calarba bridge, how did his best friend win the bid? and we heard his son is member of BOT in that hitech company.

The media has requested NNPC to show the lading permit of fuel, show us the payment process, how they arrive at the current figure, no reply.

You will not hear the mean stream media talk about This, because most of their editors have been bought over. The likes of FIJ and others, that refuse to be bought over are been hunted with Cyber law.

Go to Dangotedo refinery in ibeju lekki, the rumour is Dangote refinery is not refining any fuel, that he is importing as well. But they use the media to keep lying.
