What about your proof of funds?

Yes, you can use the same account for proof of funds, but in your SOP, you must provide a breakdown to show how the fund will be sufficient for both you and your spouse.

Thank you so much bro. Will I also have to use an updated bank statement for the new application if I want to apply again in January or I can use the one submitted in October. What other documents do you also advise I use an updated one

When did you apply?
when were you rejected?

as for me, I submitted my wife's study permit, her international passport where the visa was stamped, her enrollment letter, acceptance letter, school fees receipts

if you have a card from your DOM account use it or find someone who has a dom account with a card to assist you.

Good afternoon All.
I used my brother as my sponsor with 34million as proof of fund.
Cost of tuition 12000 CAD and I paid 6205 CAD as part of my tuition.

From the correspondence mail i got,it stated that I don't have home ties and insufficient funds.
Please how do I request for GCMS and what is the way forward?
Thank you

use https://gcms-notes.ca/
its a paid service. about 19USD.

I used it and it took about 28 days

Thanks for your input. She is ordering her case note immediately.

Her spouse is a student in Canada. She and husband owns the clinic. She does not receive salary but hubby regularly sends money to her being a family business.

She applied for Sowp

Honestly- she is so confused.

if her hubby is a student, then it becomes tricky. VO could interpret the hubby's money to be for his upkeep
I think a better approach would have been for the hubby to transfer all the money into her account making her the sponsor.

I am still waiting for any insight to tackle this. Please help us. She is really confused.

The bank balance for her has 13m
Her spouse in Canada $15,000
The personal naira account of spouse N20m plus
The business account N5m

She works in the family biz as a doctor. The husband regularly sends money to her and there was no lump sum except funds from her husband.

Someone please help. What can she do differently? Please we are begging for help. God bless everyone.

She has enough money, i dont know why the second reason for rejection. I think probably the amount she showed in her payslip does not justify her bank balance of 13m.

For the last reason, is her hubby a student? What type of visa did she apply for?
assuming her hubby is a permanent resident, why would she want to travel on a temporary visa.?

The best thing is to order for her GCMS notes. I ordered via https://gcms-notes.ca/ and it took 28 days

Yes, I earn a salary and also own a company.

My salary is consistent monthly. My clients pay me huge amounts once in a while. so I withdrew the money, converted to Usd, and deposited in my DOM account which I am using for the visa application.

How should I explain these deposits?

GCMS: Reason limited proof of funds...
GCMS: Reason No provenance on file..
VO is after the source of these funds.
You did not provide the source of these funds.

Thanks for the clarification. I guess I misread the limited proof of funds to mean Insufficient fund
Gracias!

Do you have the 51,000 CAD available as liquid in your DOM account?

also, how many years course is your wife going for?

You can check some of my previous post on how i explained how I will be able to take care of my family while I also applied for SOWP.

Although, just a family of 3 dou while Wife is the primary applicant.

NOTE: I did all myself.

Yes, the 51000 CAD is available as liquid cash in my account. my wife is going for a 1 year programme.

Was there any unexplained lump sum deposit in your account? Also, what was your estimated cost of attendance (tuition and living expenses) for the first year? I am asking because the living expenses for a family of 5 is approximately 23,000 CAD which leaves you with 28,000CAD. If your tuition is over 20,000 CAD, this means you're literally spending almost all your savings on this journey.

Well, I had deposits of 2k5, 3k, and 4k USD in my DOM account. my wife's Program is 1 Year. so the amount is for 1 year.
I explained part of the money was for the balance of my wife's tuition of 8600 CAD.
I provided a breakdown of the expenses for me and my 3 kids- 4k for me and 9k for my kids. I provided a breakdown for flight tickets and daycare for my 3-year-old and an additional 5k for miscellaneous.

Did you provide a personal or company's statement? Were you the main sponsor or you had someone sponsor you and your family? What other docs did you provide which shows that you have sufficient funds?

I provided my personal statement (dom account).
Yes, I am the main sponsor.
I provided my employment letters, though the account I used is not my salary account. I also used the same account to apply for my wife.

Hi Gurus,

I just got my GCMS notes and attached is the reason for the rejection. I am surprised it mentions limited funds since I presented 51,000 CAD as POF for a family of 5.

I am looking for someone to help me write SOP for my reapplication.

Jeboy:
There are two ways to go about it.

1) Either you use a different pof for your own SOWP application after your spouse study visa has been earlier approved

Or

2) Use same pof but proof that same account you are showing (steadily 4months or above) can cater for both the already study visa approved applicant and you the SOWP applicant. This is what I did in my case. I used excel template to do budget cost for both applicant and show them how my pof is enough. Not doing is inviting refusal base on financial incapacity.

Thanks for the insight, Jboy,
Could you please share with me the excel sheet you used?
You can attach it to your response.

Thanks

I carefully noticed this issued using the same POF for PA Student and later used it for swop don't usually fly, or better SOWP should show more fund in his/her bank statement to support the POF

Thanks for your response, it's helpful.
Do you mean I should add more money to the account? or should I use another account?

Yes, it is the same proof of funds I used to apply for her. The money is in my DOM Account dough. What do you think?

Hello everyone, SOWP & VV for my son was refused. they mentioed that i applied under international mobility program. i dont know what that is cos i applied for SOWP. i didnt add my statement of account and i am still in Nigeria. kindly advise.

Hi Terminalia,

You are not alone in this. I applied on september 14 and got refused same day as you (October 24, 2023).
Coincidentally, I was rejected with same reasons as you.

• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as required by
paragraph 200(1)(b) of the IRPR (https://laws.justice.gc.ca/eng/regulations/SOR-2002-227/
section-200.html). I am refusing your application because you have not established that you will
leave Canada, based on the following factors:
• I am not satisfied that your spouse has provided sufficient proof of funds to support your
family’s stay in Canada. Additionally, I am not

I don't fully comprehend the rejection reason no. 1.
Are points 1 and 2 related? Does this mean solely a proof of fund issue?

Hi Everyone,

my name is Chiamaka, currently an international student in Canada.

Please I need your advice and guideline on SOWP and SV for my kids (7,5,3yrs).

Actually, we had submitted my family application but it was refused on the grounds of insufficient fund.
Our POF was 15m. we used an immigration consultant for the first application that was refused but now I want to do it on my own.

Please, I need every assistance so as to get it right this time around

Thank you

Hi claracee ,
I am in the same sit as you. I applied by myself and 3 kids. But my SOWP and SV for my 3 kids were rejected on grounds of insufficient funds. Interestingly, I showed a POF of 52,000 CAD (Fifty two thousand CAD).

Have you been able to reapply and did u succeed yet?.

Please let me know
