Episode 15

Sir Ikat was locked up in the prison.

A guard has allegedly been sleeping with the Queen. He goes by the name, Ettah.

Queen Anie called Ettah to her room.
"My husband is dying, and once he dies, the throne goes back to Ikat, which is why I am fighting." She inhaled deeply. "You know I did not bear any children for the King; however, the two sons his late wife bore for him may be considered. I heard once the king died his son would return from the city. Tell me what I stand to gain. Of all the years have spent in the palace. This is why I'm fighting. If I become the woman king of this land. You as my lover will benefit greatly from it. So are you ready to do anything I ask you to do?"

"Yes, my Queen." He stared at her seductively. She heard footsteps and quickly discharged him.

It was one of the servant girls. She bowed her head in honor of the Queen.
"My Queen, I brought your food"

"Did l tell you I'm hungry? Drop the food and call back Ettah"

Ettah returned to her room.
"Don't mind that intruder. Is good that we have food here." She went under her bed, brought out a poison, and added it to the food. "Make sure he eats it before you leave."

Ettah coming out of Queen Anie's room passed the food to another guard.
"Give it to Sir Ikat. Ensure he eats it, is a command by the Queen." The guard collected it and headed to the prison.

The guards at the prison gate began to salivate "Why will Queen bring this kind of delicacy to a prisoner? We will eat this one." The guards consumed the food hurriedly. A few minutes later they began to vomit blood and began to drop dead.

Queen Anie was sad when she heard the news. She glared at Ettah.
"Why did you give another? Take it there yourself watch him eat the food that was the command I give. Now how many guards do we have left."

"Just 4, including myself I did not add Akon because of his condition. We lost many of our men in the war you created."

"Do you say the war I created, get out of my room"

She was still pacing around angrily when she heard the palace bell rang.
"The king is dead." She exclaimed.

She was going to confirm but the elders stopped her.
"You killed the king. Seize her"

"I did not, why will I kill the king." She fought the elders and struggled with the guards but was eventually locked up in the prison. The same prison where Ikat was.

"Are you also a prisoner as I am or is this not Queen Anie." Ikat jested

She bowed her head in shame.
'The king is dead."

"Oh I'm sorry to hear that, he was a good friend."

"The elders said I killed him and that is not true."

"I think they are right, you might not have killed him physically but you did, emotionally."

"That is enough talking, respect your Queen."

Ikat laughed.

The elders heard of Ikat in prison. They were happy about it.
"He is not the only one in the world, why is he making it more than we do"
It was so glaring that the elders never loved Ikat. They decided to detain him there.

Mrs Ikat was very worried.
"What is keeping my husband"

"I hope Akon is not dead" Edet cried, she began to feel very uncomfortable, and she went out to vomit.

"Edet, I've been observing you all these while. I think you are pregnant"

She went on her kneels immediately.
"Yes Mother, I'm sorry"

"For something like this not to happen, that was why I told Akon to return to the palace then. Never knew it has happened already."

"I'm sorry Mother."

*********************
The first son of King Emeh was called upon and after 7 days he was crowned king.

"One of the guards told me there is another king." Queen Annie lamented in the prison.

"Good news" Sir Ikat exclaimed.

"What is Good in that," Anie asked angrily.

"My dear, until you start seeing the good in others good things might not happen to you. More news for you. By this time tomorrow, I will be out of this place."

"What about me."

"All I will say is your life is in your hands."

The next day the new king, King Emeh Junior called on the prisoners to hear them out.

As soon as he sighted Sir Ikat, he jumped on him happily.
"He was a good friend to my father, and while I was very young he treated us like his own," He told the crowd; the elders and the villagers.
"Father I've heard so many good things about you. But why are you in prison?"

"He is a traitor to the late king," The elders said

"No, he is not." Queen Anie interrupted.
"I was the one who locked him up. For no reason."

"Then he is free. Father Ikat is a free man." He hugged him again.
The elders were jealous.

"Father you are not going home alone. I will drive you home myself" said Emeh Junior.

Father Ikat requested to go with Akon so he can give him appropriate treatment.

At the same they began the journey back to the Land of Promise, Mrs Okay was seen shivering and coughing.

"Mother you have to take your herbs please so you can take care of Promise. You haven't breastfed her since morning."

"I miss my husband." She said and began coughing again. Edet ran to the kitchen to bring her water. She returned to the meet the lifeless body of Mrs Ikat.

She raised an alarm. The missionary and guard ran inside with a few persons who were praying on the holy ground.

Ikat walked in and met them all panicking
"What has happened?" He asked.

Episode 14

The guards began to hear the drum beats of war and the continuous shout of hallelujah.

"Can you hear that?" One of the guards asked Akon.

"Yes I can, but that cannot be coming from the land of promise. There are just six there. Himself, his wife, their new baby, the missionary, their servant girl my beautiful Edet, and a guard."

"The place is advanced now so more people might be there."

"They don't stay there, they only come for prayers."

"So is possible some people are praying there right now."

"Yes"

"Maybe one of them has soldiers, I swear this beat of war is coming from there."

"Is not, even if there are soldiers, did they know we are coming? Never be afraid. We match forward." Said Akon

The closer they were the louder the beats.

"This sound I'm hearing is a sign that they are more powerful than us."
Some of the guards began to turn back.

Akon led the few guards remaining into the Land. He was shocked at the sight of giant warriors in front of him.

"We can still turn back now!" One of them cried.

"We will not" They pull out their sword."

The giant warriors did not move an inch until a mightier warrior came out from among them. He blew the whistle and the fight began. The edge of their sword was fire. Anyone pierced is immediately burnt to ashes. Akon was shocked and went on his knees.

"Please spare me. I was not here to fight I came to protect my woman."

The commander of the giant warriors moved closer to Akon

"Who are you?" Akon asked trembling.

"I am Micheal the commander of this army" He put his mighty leg on Akon's own.

"Ah" He groaned in pain

"Tell your Queen he that watch over the seed of Abraham does not sleep nor slumber."
The pain in Akon's leg was so severe. He passed out.

Whereas Micheal's adopters were worried about how deeply he slept that night. He woke up in the morning with a smile on his face.

"You got us worried, boy"

"I went for a fierce battle. I'm back now"

They marveled at his reply.

Father Ikat opened his mouth when he saw dead bodies on the floor. They could not identify them as they were burnt to ashes.

Edet sighted Akon and ran to him.
"Akon please wake up." She cried.

Ikat lifted him on his shoulder, took him in, and gave him some medicine. He opened his eyes and passed out again.

"Father please he must not die" Edet cried.

"He will make it, I saw fear in him, aside from the injury on his leg something frightened him"

Sir Ikat was able to revive him.
"Tell us what happened."

"Your soldiers, they are fearful their sword is fire. Their commander, Micheal spared me because I begged. Even at that he still instill pain on me. My leg hurts"

"You will be fine but I don't have soldiers."

"They were so many. Giant, fearful, and powerful."

"But why are you here in the first place."

"Queen Anie wants to claim the land. She sent us here to kill you and anything that has life. To be sincere I was not here to kill I was here to protect her." He pointed at Edet

"But why will Anie think of such a thing? What of Emeh?" Mrs Ikat asked.

"He is sick"

"I will go to the palace. Anie must tell me why she chose evil"

Some guards who ran back before the battle were been punished.
"Just a drum of war made you turn back. You cowards." She glared. She stopped talking as she sighted Ikat and Akon on a beautiful ride.

"Hmm, he is alive. He is riding a modern car when all his king has is horses." She sighed
"Akon come here and tell me what happened that old fool will not be welcomed here." She said bluntly

"Akon cannot walk to you someone would have to carry him," Ikat replied the Queen.

She signaled some guards to bring Akon.

"What happened to your leg? And where are the others." She asked.

"My Queen his soldiers were on guard. Though he claims not to have one. They were giants. I've never seen such a creature in my life. Their swords are fire. I was the only one that was spared.
My Queen if you will heed my advice. Father Ikat is not a man you can fight. Those fighting for him are stronger. The one who inflicted this pain on me called himself Micheal. He said I should you tell you that the one who watches over the seed of Abraham does not sleep nor slumber."

"Enough. Why did he follow you here?"

"He wants to speak with you, he wants peace."

"I don't have peace how will I offer him one, the only thing I can offer is problem. Seize him"
The Queen ordered the arrest of Sir Ikat.

Episode 13

Mrs Kampson dressed up the children and headed to the orphanage home. Those who needed them were already waiting. She signed some documents and bade them goodbye.

She got home before realizing what she had done
"What if my husband returns and asks about the children?
What if they were the children Father Ikat was talking about? Why did I leave that forest when they have not returned?
She asks herself several questions.

"It is done. And the agreement says I should not come asking for them not now and not even in the near future. God, please protect them."

Mrs Isah was a retired teacher from the north and she was the one that adopted Micheal. She had been childless for over 35 years and she concluded that after her retirement she would adopt a child.

Dr George and his wife were from the east. They were ministers of God. Their only child was diagnosed for cancer. According to the doctor she has few more days to live. so they plan to adopt a healthy one. They adopted Raphael

Hon Olumide was a politician. A very wealthy and famous man in the West. He adopted Gabriel. His wife broke up their marriage after finding out he cannot father a child.

Sir Ikat's territory began to blossom. People came from far and near to pray in his church which he called The Holy Ground.

Rev Elijah and Prof Mercy Ajayi made him their spiritual father.
"My church tithe and first fruits are coming here" said Rev. Elijah

"Is that not too much"

"Father, do you know when we have been looking for a child? We have prayed, we have fasted, and we have undergone different ways of getting pregnant scientifically but they all failed. Permit me to rebuild the church"

"Holy ground?"

"Yes Father, is going to be one of the biggest auditoriums in the whole world"

Sir Ikat carried his daughter on his shoulder and walked around the place. He went on his kneel
"God I'm just grateful, a few months ago this place was a jungle, now look at it, look at the beauty. This is marvelous" Still on his kneels, he lifted up his daughter.
"Look at the beautiful seed you gave to me and because of all these my wife's faith is now stronger than mine. Lord I and my seed will worship you till eternity" and immediately heaven opened. A light came down from the opening, inside the light was a ladder, and on this ladder were angels Ascending and Descending. He saw a big smile on his daughter's face.
"You can see that too"
He rose to his feet and immediately the light was gone.

He went to the missionary.
"You will not believe what I just saw. A ladder, Angel we're ascending and descending.

"That is a sign that the presence of God is here. That is exactly what is happening in the spirit realm."

Queen Anie gathered the guards "This is a war that will fetch you good money. The Land of Promise is ours and we will take it by force. If you help fight this battle I promise each of you will get a plot of land and a good amount of money that will bring you and your family out of poverty. And in case any one of you didn't return, maybe you lost your life in the cause of the war. I promise I will take good care of your family. Your household will be protected. Akon, you are leading this war. No man should live. Kill them all. Now match to war"

King Emeh was seen lying sick on the bed. He could not speak. He kept nodding his head at the war his wife was creating. Tears flooded his eyes.
"This will backfire," He said in his mind.

The guards waited till night.
"We will kill them in their sleep." Said one of the guards.

All Akon was thinking about was how to save his love, Edet.
As they were getting closer. The angels of God began to descend in a physical form with arrows in their hands.

Episode 12

The Doctor examined the triplets by asking them questions. And they answered intelligently.

"Hmmm, I will refer you to someone who can handle things like this, a child psychologist"

"Ok thank you, Doctor"

He wrote a letter for her, which she took to the psychologist, Mrs Denver.

"Can you tell me some of the things they do?" Mrs Denver asked.

"Hmm, they started walking and talking the same day. They talk mostly in whispers, they sing at night. Listening to them you will never believe such a melody is from little children. They call me by my name. I don't know how they know that."

"And they are just a year old." Mrs Denver exclaimed and took a deep breath. "Let me be sincere with you since my practice have not seen something like this." She faced the triplet.
"Hello cuties can you tell me your names."

"I'm Micheal, by my right is Gabriel, and on my left is Raphael" Micheal replied

"You can just call me Gab" Gabriel interrupted.

"Wow Gab! That is good you all have a nice name. Madam can we speak further? They are not your biological children I can tell"

"Yes, that is true. I followed my husband to his village that is where I got them from."

"I'm sorry I don't think I can help these children."

"Ah Doctor Ken told me you are very capable"

"Yes I am but have not worked with smart kids as these ones. So I can't help"

They returned home, Mrs. Kampson ignored the children and the strange things they were doing he focused on her husband's picture"

Gabriel approached Mrs Kampson.
"Stop worrying about the dead. Worry about the things that are to come"

"What are you talking about?" She glared at him "Don't tell me my husband is dead. He will come back to us. Just that I cannot longer stay in that bush, I was getting scared. My lovely husband will return"

The night of that day, Mrs Kampson children ran to their mother's room.

"Go to your room"

"No mummy, we cannot, Mic, Raph and Gab are scaring us."

"Oh not again, I know what to do, tomorrow morning they are leaving this house. Now I see reasons why their father sold them, I am doing the same thing"

The next day, she contacted some orphanage home.
"How can we help you Madam?"

"Do you have any one who needs a male child? I have three, opened for adoption."

**************
Sir Ikat was in the church when Edet ran to him.
"Father some persons are here to see you. An elderly man and woman."

Sir Ikat came out to meet them.
They went on their kneels as soon as he they saw Ikat.
"I'm Rev Elijah Ajayi and this is my wife Prof. Mercy Ajayi. We are the general overseer of the Glory of God Mission. We believe if you pray for us we can have the child of our own."

"Ah you are a great man of God. You should be the one praying for me."

"No father, there is something in your life that is lacking in our own life. We are the ones to kneel."
Ikat laid hands on them. After praying for them he told them to go the holy ground and talk to God personally.

They went into the
church as instructed
"Honey can you feel that strong presence am feeling"

"Yes dear God is here" The man confirmed.

Months later Prof Mercy was confirmed pregnant with twins. They gave the testimony in their church how they visited the land of promise and Father Ikat directed them to go and pray in the holy ground. And now they have their testimony.

The news spread. People began to travel down to the place to pray.

Queen Anie was not happy with the news she was hearing about father Ikat. She approached her husband.

"Honey that land of pomise is part of Udoro you need to claim it now."

"I will not do such a thing."

"If you don't I will."

Mrs Kampson was cleaning the dining when she got a call that a particular company who were into adoption wants the triplet.

She was about to enter the room when she heard the triplets talking. She put her ear closer to the door so she could hear them clearly.

"We are about to be separated, Micheal you are going north, I Gabriel I'm going west and Raphael you are going east while Prosmise remain in the south. We will always communicate in the spirit. We must never be distracted."

"Let's talk about the reality of things, how are we going to survive here, the missionary eats a lot. We should not abandon all our investments in the Udoro Kingdom. We can still go back now."

"I'm not going back, God wants me to stay here"

"In this forest, in fact, how are you able to build this" She looked around the small hut.

"Is God's provision"

They were still discussing when Jesse walked in with some white men.

"Who are they?" Ikat asked.

"They heard about what happened to your wife and they are here to see for themselves."

"White people!" Father Ikat was surprised.
"How did they know about this place?"

"They have been to Udoro the king directed them here with the help of a guard."

Meanwhile, the guard who happened to be Akon had got himself busy with Edet.

"Where is the guard now."

"He is outside."

"You said you saw Jesus, how does he look" one of the white men asked Mrs Ikat.

"He looks old I saw him at the gate of heaven, and immediately I jacked back to life, he appeared to help me deliver my baby but this time as a young man. His skin shines like stars. I don't have a word to describe how mighty he looked"

"Did he tell you anything"

"Yes, he said those who believe shall be saved"

The white men stared at one another.
"Those who believe shall be save from what?" They asked.

"From the destruction that is coming."

"Is that a threat?"

"No is a choice"

They inhaled deeply
"We have heard enough, we did not come empty we have a gift for the baby"

They brought out a huge amount of money.

"The missionary screamed"

"Is it that massive?" Ikat asked as he could not understand the worth of the currency.

"This is dollars. Father Ikat." The missionary exclaimed.

The white men left and another set of people appeared, they had also traveled down from a far country to confirm the birth of the baby.
"What is her name?"

"God's Promise" Ikat replied smiling

"We want to make this environment conducive for baby Promise. Are we permitted"

"Go ahead"

They brought in milling machines and graded the whole place and began the construction of modern houses. Father Ikat begged them to construct a church first before any other thing. The exact place he told them to plant the church was where he saw fire burning and the bush was not consumed. He named the place, Holy Ground.

The government came to visit and also promised to build schools, clinics, and other necessary facilities.

"This is not Udoro what is this place called" one of the government officials asked Father Ikat.

"It is called The Land of Promise"

"Land of Promise?"

"Yes," Ikat nodded.

Mrs Ikat called on Edet.
"Have been observing you and the guard, Akon. I also sense is because of you he has refused to return to Udoro. He has to return we can't have two guards here. The King sent him on an errand he has to return"

Edet became teary.
"I love him"

"I know but he has to return to the king. I will discuss this with my husband later and see how both of you can settle as husband and wife but for now, let him go. Enough of sneaking around"

*************
A great man of God was seen reading the newspaper.
"Honey come and read this"
His wife took a glance
"Wow this is God"
"The man is currently in a place called the Land of Promise."

"We will find him and tap from this grace, I want to carry my child too." His wife cried.

Kampson's wife was shocked at the sudden growth and development that had occurred in the triplet. She took them to the hospital.

"What is your complaint" The doctor asked

"They just act weird like old people"

"How old are they?"

"From my calculation, they must have just clocked a year"
