My Experience

Metroxchange finally delivered my order (watch accessories) made almost 5 months ago,  but sadly after the long wait, there were issues. Out of the 4 items I paid for, 3 got delivered (watch band, case and screen protector), out of the 3 delivered, one had issue with the size (screen protector) and the other, the color (case).

Upon receipt of these items and having noticed the mistakes made, I contacted Metroxchange to know why such happened and to seek resolutions. As usual, I had to put a lot of efforts before I could get him to come online to respond.

I brought the issue to his attention, and he quickly blamed the seller for the errors in size (screen protector) and color (case) without showing any evidence to support his claim. Then the issue of the items he omitted came up, he dropped some evidence, which in my opinion wasn't sufficient due to the facts that they were written by him and not our chats. So I showed him our chats with every details pointing to the fact that I paid for it, and he omitted it when making the orders. I was even willing to send a scroll screenshots of our chats that preceeded the order. He didn't believe but obliged to a refund. Note that this was on the 23rd of April, but up to this moment he has failed to refund/read/ or address any of the issues raised.

To prospective customers, so far, I can confidently say that Metroxchange will deliver your orders but I also have to state my experience of the following for you to decide whether to deal or not:

1. Communication: Very poor, messages can stay unread for weeks even when he comes online. You need to be a bit aggressive (not negatively) to get him to read your message;
2. Logistics: can be messy. Delays do happen to all shippers sometimes but I have used his service 3 times and it was messy twice. One of them being the one discussed herein;
3. Customer service: in-between but more closer to good than bad.

In view of the aforestated, It's now left for you to decide if you can handle his baggage (most shippers on NL have but his, is the worst since I started using such services). I don't have/want to be chasing someone over an amount that is not too significant. I have made my peace with not getting a refund or proper resolution to the issues raised.

All I will say to Metroxchange is to try and do better. Make honest efforts and not this marketing BS you do on this your thread.

I wonder why it's so difficult for Metroxchange to respond to messages on Whatsapp even when it's coming from one with a pending Order since last year.

From your above address, 19th of November 2020 was when you made payment for your order and your order must have been made immediately of course, however, It's very possible that your item didn't get delivered to our address (as that's not part of the duration we calculate, our given duration starts when items get shipped) within our two shipment (November 27th & December 2nd)before the December 16th shipment which made it to fall into the December 16th shipment


Definitely, it's part of the December 16th shipment, and as earlier explained, we are making intensive efforts to get the ship down to Nigeria and deliver to our esteemed and patient clients

This would have been explained to me (the date my shipment fell in) earlier if only you had read the message I dropped since 21st of March. You really need to do better in communication.....it's terrible or I can say mostly one sided.

Orders I made payment for on the 19th of November, 2020 is yet to be delivered. I do not know whether it falls under the December 16th shipment because the time-frame you sent via whatsapp does not cover the period I made that order.

Metrobox compensated me for the ultra-delay in shipment with free shipping both ways, USA to Nigeria
and Nigeria to my doorstep. And he communicated effectively via phone calls.
Very commendable. For this singular act, i'd surely patronize them again.

He is good at trying to right his wrong. That's one thing I admire about his service.

i know what it takes to run a business in Nigeria and i'm refraining myself so hard from dropping a review, cos the experience

I have transacted with him in the past. His communication needs to be improved upon, that's a fact, but one thing I can state here (based on my experience with him) is if you have issues with your shipment, he will do everything possible to make up for it. My shipment was delayed when I used his service, but he went out of his way to make up for the delay.

One thing I can definitely say is that Metroxchange goes out of his way to see that he satisfies his customers.....that's really a rare trait in this kind of business.

So do not lose another day wondering if you should make an order through him because he is legit (never doubted it though). More orders/referral to come from me in future.

I don't usually call people out but I had to, so that you can put your business in order. One thing you need to understand about moving this type of business to greater height is your handling of issues. Note that your prospective customers will likely come from referrals and not just updating the thread with greetings and advert.

Yeah, you really need more feedback from previous users of your services to engender more trust form prospective users (you know how we are in these parts). I will advise a bit more interaction here even while directing customers to your Whatsapp platform cause once it gets to Whatsapp it becomes private and most customers will not be bothered to come back here to sing your praise or fall your hand. There are some similar services on Nairaland that might not necessarily be better than yours (price-wise or reliability) but attract more customers because there is more transaction related content on their thread. It just seems hollow if it is Metrobox just posting and reposting on the thread. Still expecting my package and thanks for the updates on Whatsapp (you can also have updates on deliveries posted here without even referencing the buyers). Cheers.

This guy here has raised a very valid point. The greetings, services and goods purchased which you update us with daily is beautiful but you still need to spice things up. Prospective customers wants to see deals go on in here, they want to drop links and get the cost here instead of going to your Whatsapp. Some might eventually contact you on Whatsapp after getting the cost, some might not but that's how the business works.
I trust you can look into this and try and improve upon it because with my previous interaction with you, you are always looking for ways to improve on the services you render. Cheers!!
