Hello @ajayidebo thanks please indulge me on more time.

I was thinking since i finished my Masters in Feb 2013. I get points for 1.5 years ( March 2014 - Oct 2014).
Since it's a ten year work period they are assessing my job description can get me full points for 2017 till date. If am not getting points for experience then maybe i should save the money meant to Vetassess and look towards another country.

What do you think?

ajayidebo:
I asked for your BSc info to know whether it will be applicable for your occupation. If it was, you will be able to gain more points from your years of experience. In this case, your BSc is not applicable.

You can use your Masters alone to assess with VETASSESS. However, your 6 years of experience will be reduce to < 2 years (i.e. No points for experience), counting from the day you completed your Masters degree.

Please find the answers to the questions you asked me.

Masters degree graduation year = 2018 ( 2011 - 2013)

Bachelors = Agricultural Economics. Lautech. ( 5 years)

But i don't use want to use my bachelors degree. Is it okay to just submit the masters?

ajayidebo:
What year is your Masters Degree?
Also, you did not mention your BSc degree as well. Let's have the school & course of study, number of years it took to finish the course and year of graduation.

Please what's the average time you've had to wait to get your Vetasses evaluation report.
-about 10 working days if you applied for priority pressing. Will cost you about $1500
-between 13-15 weeks if you opted for normal processing. Will cost you about $900

Please what should i look out for?
-Your job description. You have to make sure it's in line with Anzsco job description for your nominated occupation.

Thanks for your kind response.

Hi

Sorry for the late response.

it's just basic simple things you may tend to overlook.Have an updated linkedin profile. Don't over exxagerate your job role, cos in linkedin you are most likely contacting the person that will give you a job or recommendation directly.
You can add the person. After a week send a mail highlighting your qualifications and career expectations, end it with i will appreciate if you can advice or refer me for any opening you might know.
Lagos is starting to attract expats, and the influx of expat to africa is increasing by the day.
Here is a link that will give you an idea of the job market. You will be surprised on the review of lagos.

I just picked it up from the site, am not in any affliation with them:

Hi All,

Joined Nairaland few years back, and decided to login after three years.

In my own little way, i can give advice on how to look for a job, how to contact people for a job.

How to talk and get people to listen to you.

Please am not asking for money, nor am i making promises that i will get you a job,( am not a recruiter).

I get angry when i receive messages on my linkedin, from Nigerians asking for a job in the most rude manner.

And i thought it will be good if i can educate and probably share how i went about my job search.

Let me know how i can be of assistance.

Well at the end of the day, it's how you want to be treated believe me.

Some Nigerian bosses are bad, if not worst.

I don't mind him having a bad day, but calling me a bush man, is racist and i will sure take it up with him.

For Chrissakes, he came to my country to look for greener pastures. A whole lot of my friends keep asking me on how to relocate to Nigeria, my own country to work.

He will never dare say that to an arab man.

It's time Nigeria citizens know thier worth and act accordingly.

If you want to take this up with him. I will sure assist you to lodge this complaint to the necesscary audience.
