I understand you but you don't seem to understand me. I agree with you that you need to generate a lot for you to distribute a lot. You see with BEDC this is not the case. Let's take Lagos as a case study. Before the introduction of band A tariff, electricity distribution was a problem but the IKEDC improved it's distribution infrastructure. Now, almost everywhere unders IKEDC is on band A and having at least 21hrs a day if not 24hrs. In fact my place at magodo had light 2 weeks without interruption, same with my workplace at Gowon estate, iyana paja. Can this be said about BEDC? I'm from Ondo state which is under BEDC. There is no city, town, settlement or street on band A. You know why? Distribution infrastructure is very poor or not available in some places. I think same goes with Edo state and some parts of Delta state. viqSmallz: 1 Like |

You don't seem to understand what is going on. Edo state is under BEDC which as a distribution company rejects electricity from the Gencos. The candidate is actually right, if he provides transformers and poles likewise the aluminium conductor cables, BEDC will be able to distribute electricity more efficiently. My only disagreement with this arrangement is the fact that BEDC is a private company and why should the government provide infrastructure which they ought to have provided. By submission this shows the Apc candidate is actually very close to the people for him to have know this basic and simple fact. viqSmallz: |

Logically, if he manages to this, then it's an upgrade. Subsequent presidents will move from bad to good, good to better and better to best. Unlike from bad to rotten by somebody . Sacrosanct12: 1 Like 1 Share |

Why are you guys like this? Just because you don't support someone, does not mean u should criticize that person at any and every opportunity. The metaphor church rat in the south is as common as the metaphor " if Mohammed don't go to the mountain, the mountain will go to Mohammed" nobody takes offence. Similarly in the south especially SW, sexing a girl with a big ass can be illustrated with climbing mount Arafat, which is a holy ground in Islam. So what's the fuss here? maestroferddi: 4 Likes |

Are the world leaders you refer to from poor African countries? You support tinubu or any other candidate should not limit your comprehension ability. When obi used VAR to illustrate atikus situation with obj, you guys hailed him. Now tinubu used the church rat saying, which is very Common amongst Nigerians to illustrate the climate change situation in Nigeria and west Africa in general but no, this is difficult to comprehend because it's coming from tinubu you guys hate so much. Can't you guys just support and mobilise for your candidates in peace? DaddyFreeze2020: |

How come the 1st ever GSM mobile phone to enter Nigeria then ain't in the list. Motorola talk about, this was the first ever, came as a bundle with Econet SIM cards. Even before 3310, MTN made 3310 popular plus it was more expensive. Michelle70: |

Nigerians loves fanfare so much that we neglect reality and history. We don't ever learn, same fanfare with sowore's "take it back" movement, same town hall meetings, not much of a difference. My verdict; Though obi will definitely get way more votes than sowore got, it won't still be enough to make him the winner Obi will definitely act a spoiler to one if the two major political parties. Which party exactly? I don't know MadamVanessa: 1 Like |

Tinubu actually did not support fayemi for his 2nd term ambition when he lost to fayose. There was a report that categorically stated that tinubu was against the idea cus he felt fayemi was never as popular as fayose even has the incumbent gov then. This seems to have been the beginning of the bad blood between them. Odidigboigbo: |

It's not young, must have been a lion with some form of dental injuries, hence the reason it's mane is not well developed or pronounced. When lions have dental injuries, they can't hunt animals with thick hides so they result to weaker preys like humans and domestic animals. There by becoming man eaters TWoods: |

Politics / Re: Akin Alabi: Why My Health Centre Project In Ibadan Is ‘Too Small’ by K0y3: 2:57pm On Dec 24, 2020 |
Most people can't differentiate the functions of the level of government. Reason I advise folks to read more bout Nigeria, the constitution and government functions before voting in a candidate and subsequently criticizing the candidates shortcomings after being elected. Alabi is a federal law maker not a federal minister, federal agency or board chairman. Like every federal law maker (HoR and Senator) they are entitled to facilitate at least one federal project to his constituency in his 4 years tenure. This is one of the many reasons the budget goes through the rep and senate before being signed. Rehabilitations, renovations, new constructions etc are communicated in the budget yearly. The members are expected to facilitate at least one to his or her constituency, this is actually one of the reasons they do exist in the first place. Now the members are ranked. A first timer is ranked lower than a two timer, likewise a two timer ranked lower than three timer and so on. The higher the rank, the bigger the project the member can facilitate to the his constituency. Reason you might come across posters reading vote Mr k as a ranking senator etc. In the case of alabi, he is a first timer and this probably is the highest project he could facilitate to his constituency. The rehabilitation of basic health care centers across the nation was included in the budget as part of the funding for the ministry of health. Obviously the money provided for this in the budget can't rehabilitate all the health care centers in Nigeria, some will be chosen others will be left out. I guess Alabi was excited he could facilitate that of his constituency to be among those that were chosen, hence the proud post. As for the contractor being from Abuja, he probably would have tendered for the contract to the agency in charge which Alabi rightly stated and won the contract. Don't be surprised a company based in osogbo will bid and tender to the agency in charge and be given that of sokoto to rehabilitate. citygarden: 1 Like 1 Share |
Politics / Re: Akin Alabi: Why My Health Centre Project In Ibadan Is ‘Too Small’ by K0y3: 2:26pm On Dec 24, 2020 |
He did not renovate it, the federal government did. He only influenced this particular health care center in his constituency to be amongst the ones to be renovated by virtue of being a member HoR. There are several basic health centers currently being rehabilitated across the nation. paulolee: |

You're wrong, you don't know how these things work. He can't and won't get a dime from it. It's not his project, it's a federal government project. he only facilitated this to his constituency by virtue of being the member representing the region which falls under his constituent. Several rehabilitation like these are ongoing all over the nation. MutualRetail: 1 Like |

Ize iyanmu is just fortunate he has oshiomole on his side after all he was defeated by obaseki when obaseki had oshiomole by his side. chriskosherbal: 1 Like |
Politics / Re: If You Were President, What Sector Would You Focus On To Kickstart Development? by K0y3: 8:32pm On May 21, 2020 |
Production of durable and cheap steel is very important for an industrialization drive. A nation can't keep importing steel and expect to build/develop industries, be it manufacturing, processing, storage, construction, housing, movie, fashion, entertainment etc heavy machineries are made out of steel down to the lightest cameras, mobile phones, cooking/ kitchen utensils etc I totally agree with you on the human capacity development but is this not the reason why we go to school( university, polytechnic etc) or learn a skill( tailoring, welding, carpentry, mechanics, photography, filming etc)? But still no job, and when there is no opportunity, you can not showcase your talent or create a content. I still insist, fix power ( solar, wind, gas, hydro, in which ever preference or order) and produce your own steel as a nation. Then watch how every other thing will fall into place. Detour00: |

Power and steel. A nation can not successfully embark on massive industrialization, construction and production process without these 2 factors. After which every other things will fall in place. Norahsthought: |
