Wicked people. Thinking of lodging complain on their website (IPPIS).
The problem is our govt does not listen at all...this is the height of irresponsibility. Asking people to stay at home without paying them The time is 4.49 still no salary...buhari's address should have directed the payment of all salaries before lockdown but what do i know.

Politics / Minimum Wage: FG Gives 22-man Committee Four Weeks To Submit Report by k2kay(m): 10:32am On May 15, 2019
The federal government on Tuesday in Abuja inaugurated a 22-man committee to negotiate the consequential adjustment in salaries arising from the new national minimum wage passed into law recently.
This came after last Thursday’s comment by President Muhammadu Buhari that the salaries of all those earning above the minimum wage would be reviewed.
The President who spoke during the inauguration of the Technical Advisory Committee on the implementation of New National Minimum Wage, chaired by Bismarck Rewane, at the council chambers, added that the process of the review would commence after the passage of the new minimum wage bill.

The inauguration of the committee by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Mr. Boss Gida Mustapha, came one month after President Buhari signed the national minimum wage bill into law.

The committee has four weeks to conclude and submit its reports.

The committee which is being chaired by the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation (HoCSF), Mrs. Winifred Oyo-Ita, also has the SGF as the Alternate Chairman.

Members of the committee from the government side are the ministers of Labour and Employment, Budget and National Planning, Education, Health and Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice.

Others are Director General, Budget Office of the Federation; Secretary, Federal Judicial Service Commission; Secretary, National Assembly Service Commission; and Chairman, National Salaries, Incomes and Wages Commission who is to serve as Member/Secretary.

On the side of the Trade Unions, 10 representatives have been nominated by the Joint National Public Service Negotiation Council as members of the committee.

Mustapha said the primary mandate of the committee will be to negotiate the consequential adjustment in salaries arising from the new national minimum wage.

“I have no doubt in my mind that you have abundant literature, reports and other materials to help this assignment. The duration of the assignment is four clear weeks from this inauguration.

“It is expected that the Committee will work assiduously to complete the assignment. I urge the Committee to amicably consider the issue of relativity and consequential adjustment with thoroughness, bearing in mind the welfare of the nation’s workforce vis-à-vis the current economic reality,” the SGF said.

On her part, Mrs. Oyo-Ita said the minimum wage was last reviewed eight years ago, in 2011 and that issue of upward review of wage in civil service has come a long way.

She added that after the last review, concerted efforts have been made by various stakeholders to ensure that workers in Nigeria receives wages commensurate with their output in the public service considering the prevailing socio-economic realities.

She said the committee is to ensure that the benefits cut across all levels of workers in the public service.

She commended the leadership of the Labour unions for their understanding during and after the negotiation of the new minimum wage and assured that the committee will do its best to deliver on its mandate within the stipulated time frame

Politics / Re: Jonathan's Book Shows He Was Incompetent by k2kay(m): 9:18am On Nov 21, 2018
netpro:
So yesterday former President Goodluck Jonathan launched his book ‘My Transition Hours’.

As expected, the book has turned to a long list of tales of excuses and blame game. For everything that happened in his administration, Jonathan always find someone to blame it on. From Obama to APC, Governors, aides and many others.

It is also funny how he tiptoes around OBJ, who invariably was a major headache to him just because Atiku and the PDP and counting on his support and that of the South West.

We all also noticed that all those who hailed Jonathan at the Book Launch were only talking about his last minute bowing out peaceful after he was kicked out. (Yes I salute him for that as well). We all can simply for get the looting, insecurities, long queues at filling stations, etc.

With the slideshows of blames all through 'My Transition Hours’, Jonathan has shown he was incompetent, weak, wasn't in full control of his administration and still has not accepted responsibility for the failures he supervised.
Have you even read the book

Only info I found was a certain Johann posting a pic of him being welcomed by fayemi and others. In my opinion, the OP has stated valid points so far...i just pray we have not been hoodwinked and being governed by a doppelganger. Pls others can search the conference on twitter cos am forcing myself to believe I missed something.

Culture / Re: Ooni Of Ife Different From World Leaders And Kings I've Met - Arab Billionaire by k2kay(m): 5:11pm On Sep 09, 2018
unclesoyo:
Arab billionaire, Sharif Ahmad Bin Jaber Al Natour, after an establishment of a business partnership with The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja II, has mentioned that the king differs in many ways from all the world leaders and kings he has met.

The business partnership is with the intent to create massive job opportunities for youths in Yorubaland and in Nigeria in general.

The partnership was formally announced during a ceremony that took place at the Ile-Oodua palace in Ile-Ife on Monday, August 27, during which both parties signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).
The Jordanian businessman, based in Morocco and owns Global Trade and Development Corporation (GTDC) group, which recently disbursed US$800m for commercial ventures in livestock, sugar and sugarcane in North Central Timor Global conglomerate, was in the country on a three-day visit to meet with the Ooni and President Muhammadu Buhari on various areas of possible collaboration.

GDTC is a global company with presence in over 176 countries and immense investment in human development and infrastructural facilities.

Al Natour said he was visiting Oba Ogunwusi in support of the king’s efforts to unify Africans in Diaspora through his peace and unity agenda.

According to him, he is committed to building green cities in Nigeria under the Ooni/GDTC Investment Nigeria Limited collaboration as a collective instrument of social, humanitarian, industrial and commercial projects to provide happiness and give a new lease of life to millions of Nigerians.

“I have met many kings and world leaders but the Ooni of Ife dazzles me most. I love him so much. I follow his activities.

He goes around the world to unify Africans in Diaspora through his peace and unity agenda. I also love his youth development quest.

That is why I am here at Ile-Ife to partner him on green energy and green environment for the benefit of the people of Yoruba and Nigeria,” Al Natour said

wetin concern throttle body/injector cleaning with fan? Was the car overheating before he came? Make unna mind unna business o!
He cleaned the throttle body because the idle was stalling a bit. Only for him to bring my attention to the fan that it was supposed to start spinning within a few minutes that the thermostat needs to be removed. I vehemently refused and we argued for sometime over it. The car has NOT and NEVER overheated before even till now but he has succeeded in scaring me about the fan. Sir, when are fans supposed to spin without AC being used?
Car Talk / Re: Maintenance Tips On Cars. by k2kay(m): 11:13am On Sep 08, 2018
Morning All, pls I need urgent reply concerning how long it takes for fans in a car to begin spinning cos this kazeem came to clean my injector throttle body this morning and said the fan is supposed to spin after a few minutes. I had to stand very firm for him not to remove my thermostat.

I noticed fan spins when I put on AC and goes off when I put it off. So how long is normal without AC for it to spin cos he succeeded in scaring the hell out of me. I drive an accord 05.
