Bro how body now,  very interesting thread you have got here. Personally I have not really researched into the history of Jesus.
Before I go into why I am skeptical let me say if it is a totally cooked up myth then I am stunned at the knowledge of those who did it, and there is some sense in most of the things if said.
But I had some problems, and maybe its looking at it from the old testament point of view, he should  have condemned most things that were wrong if he was God and knew everything, he also had an uncanny attitude of not saying things in a straightforward way.
Further I think the introduction of the concept of hell and heaven brought the stink up seriously, and I believe when constantine was looking for a religion that would be used to control people it looked like a very very good alternative, besides all your sins get to be forgotten.
I think it is totally plausible that a character existed and did a few things that were out of the ordinary and then the myth grew but everyone had     their own version of what happened.
Before I go on, I think we should first ascertain if these gospels of Jesus were penned down by the apostles or by some other people, were the original books dated?
It could be a really interesting investigation, well until the christian goons arrive.
