Celebrities / Young Nigerian Blogger Comes Hard On Daddy Freeze On His Comments To Pastors by KatherineLove: 12:23pm On Apr 06, 2018
Following numerous slams at pastors by OAP, Daddy Freeze, this entertainment blogger, Ibinabo Emmanuel Bagshaw has written a warning to Freeze, and suggesting that he cuts down on how he addresses pastors!

Read below:

Greetings to you!

I've always wanted to write down this piece, but it's been on a procrastination status!

When a person decides to go on a wrong path, only people, who perceive the consequence(s), will show concern.

I have, carefully, been following up this OAP of Cool FM, precisely, Daddy Freeze, and I won't hold back some credits, on facts which he makes, to him—but, my sole aim, of writing this, is to issue certain warnings to him on how he presents his facts.

Earlier this year, if I'm not mistaken, a clergyman publicized his prophesy for the year, which had the demise of Daddy Freeze as one of the prophecies; when this reached Daddy Freeze, he displayed, in his actions, a little more than a modicum of sheer fear, even though, he won't admit that.

From evolving a trend online on the Tithe matter, to, indirectly, tagging the Senior Pastor of Salvation Ministries, a fake pastor, to calling Benny Hinn, a thief, to... He has dedicated his life to getting involved with, quite, a dangerous endeavor.

Firstly, I want to know why people align the welfare of the masses to wealthy pastors, whereas forgetting to place the government at the forefront.

It's not a mandate for pastors to practice any charity activity but it, instead, is a voluntary act.
All you need do, is to suggest what you think they can do to help!

Back to the crux of the matter, Daddy Freeze, if you, really, don't have fear for the pastors, who you slam, the consequences, which you know, of doing that, should be formidable to you.

No man has the right, no matter how right it may seem, to judge a man.

If these pastors speak of anything into your life, trust me, when I say, it'll surely come to its physical equivalent.

In addition, I advice that you apologize to these pastors, for everything which you've said, I mean the ones that don't concern you, one bit.
Consult a pastor around you to enlighten you more on the dangers of speaking ill of pastors!
In conclusion, I'll say to you, desist from these, desist from saying such things.
Desist!!!!!!!!!!! A word is enough!

Share, till it gets to him.

Phones / TECH: How To Hack Wifi Password From Android Phones Without Rooting by KatherineLove: 12:22pm On Jan 04, 2018
Most people today are super obsessed about penetrating Wi-Fi networks with juicy internet packages. Hacking into Wi-Fi networks is quite tricky, but it saves the money you would have spent on data.

Something happened some time ago where a certain guy who hacked into the Wi-Fi of a bet shop was embarrassed because they found out that he loiters around the shop, all for connectivity of the insufficient data released by the Wi-Fi network.

So, the below tutorial should be practiced at commercial areas having huge amount of purchased data or even unlimited.

Can't wait any longer to be taught the process?
Let's get started with how to hack Wi-Fi password without rooting your Android phone! smiley

Before we begin let's know what Wi-Fi really means:

What Is WiFi
According to Webpodia, WiFi is the name of a popular wireless networking technology that uses radio waves to provide wireless high-speed Internet and network connections. A common misconception is that the termWi-Fi is short for "wireless fidelity," however this is not the case. WiFi is simply a trademarked phrase that means IEEE 802.11x.

Haven known that, we'll move on to what a Wi-Fi password security really contains. You can't have intentions of circumventing what you have no idea about, so let's delve into what exactly a WiFi password security entails.
What Is A WiFi Password Security:
As the set of keywords implies, Wi-Fi password security is a restriction which deals with a unique password to keep off external users from freely using an internet server.

Types Of WiFi Password Security
1. WEP
The WEP which is known fully as Wired Equivalent Privacy is the most recognized & used Wi-Fi security around the world. One can hack into WEP keys with tools like Airmon, Aircrack from Kali Linux.

2. WPA
WPA is better known as Wi-Fi Protected Access and it's an improved version of WEP Security. Since 2013, The Launch of WPA, it's been in existence. Anything security can be hacked easily or gradually; this time, this security type for Wi-Fi was hacked by an American hacker who found some flaws in the WPA Network keys. But An American hacker found some critical security flaws in WPA Network keys. So, the vulnerabilities are obvious and it's easy to crack into Wi-Fi password using WPA security from your Android device.

3. WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup)
WPS amongst others isn't easy to hack into; in other words, a layman who has little or no idea on hacking can't access it. Though, they can be hacked but only by professional hackers with tremendous hacking skills. The security is often seen as WPA 2PSK security.

Now, we've reached the main most coveted facet of this tutorial.

Method #1: Hacking of WPA2 WPS Router
#1. Firstly, if your android phone isn’t rooted, try to root it, and also make sure that such android phone hhasa Broadcom bcm4329 or bcm 4330 chipset unlike the Nexus 7, Galaxy S1/S2, Nuxus 1, Htc Desire HD, etc. The presence of Cyanogen ROM on your device can be of use to make the bcmon app work through.

#2. Then download and install Bcmon, it’s essential because it helps monitor mode on your broadcom chipest that helps in the PIN Cracking.

#3. After installation, run the app and tap “monitor mode” option.

#4. Download and Install Reaver app which helps to crack the WPS Pinto retrieve the WPA2 passphrase.

#5. After installation of reaver app, launch it and do an on-screen gconfirmation, which is, confirming that you’re not using it for an illegal purpose, then tap the APN or access point you’d wish to crack and continue. Most times, you might need to verify monitor mode to proceed, and this would cause the bcmon to open again.

#6. Verify your settings and also make sure that you’ve checked the Automatic Advanced settings” box. “Hack WiFi”

#7. Finally, start cracking process by tapping start attack, at this final stage, it can take 2-10hrs for the cracking of WPS to be successful.

Method #2: WPS WPA TESTER (Crack Wifi from Android mobile without Rooting)
WPS Connect app hack only WPS routers with limited features. But this is an advanced app for hacking wifi password from android mobile without rooting. You can check the wireless security of your routers from this Android app. If your router is not secure this wifi hacking android app easily bypasses wifi password from android mobile and connect with android mobile to router directly without needing any type of password.

This wifi hacking Android apps works in both rooted and without rooted android mobile. So you can easily Crack wifi password from your android phone without rooting your android phone with this app.

Politics / Nigerian Newspapers: 10 Things You Need To Know This Thursday Morning by KatherineLove: 9:51am On Dec 14, 2017
Good morning! Here is today’s summary from Nigerian Newspapers

1. Unknown gunmen Tuesday night attacked the residence of the Acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Mr. Ibrahim Magu, leaving a policeman attached to the house killed.

The gunmen stormed the farmhouse in Karshi in the Federal Capital Territory at about 10pm Tuesday and exchanged fire with the policemen on sentry.

2. The International Organisation for Migration, IOM, said yesterday that many returnees from Libya have psychiatric issues.

The UN agency also disclosed how it assisted in the voluntary return and reintegration of about 4, 500 irregular Nigerian migrants from Libya between January and November this year, but expressed fears that except all stakeholders extended support to the returnees, they could soon be on their way back to Libya.

3. All Progressives Congress (APC) stalwart, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has debunked speculations that he may be picked by President Muhammadu Buhari as his running mate in 2019.

He said he and the people of the Southwest “have absolute confidence and are exceedingly proud of the excellent job Professor Osinbajo is doing as Vice-President of Nigeria”.

4. The Minister of Petroleum Resources, Dr. Ibe Kachikwu, yesterday stated that Nigeria lost about $21 billion (N7.6 trillion) to International Oil Companies, IOCs, operating in the country due to non-implementation of the Production Sharing Contract, PSC, Act of 1993, otherwise known as the Deep Shore Act.

The Minister of State for Petroleum Resources stated that once the price of crude oil exceeds $20 per barrel, the government will take steps to ensure that the premium element is then distributed at an agreed premium level for the nation “so that we get more from our oil.”

5. No fewer than 20 vehicles and four commercial motorcycles were on Wednesday afternoon, burnt at Festac Link bridge.

The accident occurred around noon as a tanker laden with petrol fell and spilled its content on the Festac Link Bridge in Awuwo Odofin LGA of Lagos State.

6. Northern Senators have kicked against the implementation of the 2014 confab report.

According to them, it was unfair to ask President Muhammadu Buhari to implement the report of the conference convoked by a former President, Goodluck Jonathan.

7. A Bill for an Act to establish Non-Governmental Organisations Regulatory Commission of Nigeria suffered great setback on Wednesday, as none of the participants made submission in support of the Bill.

However, of over 100 written and oral memoranda received by the committee on Wednesday, no single memorandum expressed support for the bill.

8. The Arewa Consultative Forum, on Wednesday, asked the management of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation to investigate the lingering fuel scarcity in Abuja and other parts of the country.

The ACF said it perceived sabotage from some elements in some quarters to derail the efforts of the Muhammadu Buhari-led Federal Government to reposition the hitherto stable oil sector.

9. Counsel to the ‘missing’ leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Mr. Nnamdi Kanu, has asked the Federal Government to grant state pardon to youths of Igbo extraction who he said were arrested and locked up in various prisons for exercising their constitutional guaranteed rights to self determination.

Kanu’s lawyer, Mr. Ifeanyi Ejiofor, in the letter he wrote to the Attorney General of the Federation, AGF and Minister of Justice, Mr. Abubakar Malami, SAN, stated that “hundreds of innocent and defenseless IPOB members who are mostly youths”, are languishing in different prisons in the South East states and Kuje Prison in Abuja, based on “phantom, frivolous and cooked-up allegations”.

10. The Federal Government, yesterday, said that the East-West Road which was conceived by the administration of President Olusegun Obasanjo in 2006 at the cost of N211 billion, was billed to fail from its conception.

The Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Pastor Uguru Usani, said, that despite the huge sum of about N300 billion sunk into the project, the level of work so far done was not encouraging.

The Public Relations Officer of the Nigeria Police Force, Jimoh Moshood has stated that the Special Anti-Robbery Squad, SARS, will not scrapped but reformed despite nationwide protest.

Moshood disclosed this at a youth-police forum on Police Accountability in Lagos by Korede Bello Initiative.

CSP Moshood urged Nigerians to be patient as the police force was investigating complaints and feel their pains.

“We have families and we feel your pain; SARS reform is the way to go and not to end SARS.

“SARS has been doing very well in ensuring that robbery is reduced to the barest minimum in the country. However, concerns and allegations against them as regard the violation of human rights are being investigated on the directive of the Inspector General of Police.

“The reform that he has put in place is to ensure that SARS is streamlined just as the Mobile Police Force under a unified commander at the Force headquarters, who is a commissioner of police”, he said.

Dolapo Badmos, the Zonal police public relations officer for Lagos and Ogun state also present at the event commended the Korede Bello Initiative for the forum, reassuring Nigerians that the reform of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad was currently going on.

Crime / 13 Suspected Illegal Naira Vendors Nabbed, N2m Recovered by KatherineLove: 9:20am On Dec 14, 2017
Thirteen women allegedly selling the country’s currency were arrested by the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, and the Rivers State Police Command in a joint sting operation in Port Harcourt, the state capital. It was disclosed that over N2 million was recovered from them by the Police in the operation carried out at Garrison, Rumuokoro, Waterlines and Eleme areas.

The CBN, in a drive to forestall illicit sale of the Naira notes, had partnered with the operatives of the state Police Command and Department of the State Services, DSS, to clamp down on illegal Naira vendors in the state. The Command disclosed this yesterday, while briefing newsmen on the recent clamp down on individuals who engage in unlawful business on the country’s currency.

The Police Public Relations Officer of the Command, Mr. Nnamdi Omoni, who addressed the press on behalf of the Commissioner of Police, Ahmed Zaki, said the operation was in line with the CBN’s Act, Sections 20 and 21, which makes it an offence punishable by imprisonment for any person to falsify, hawk, sell or trade, make or counterfeit any bank note or coin, which is a legal tender in the country. Omoni said: “In the operation, 13 suspects, all women, were arrested in different parts of Port Harcourt and are currently held in State CID, Port Harcourt, helping the Police in investigation. At the end, those found culpable will face justice.

“On the whole, a total of N2,937,430, consisting of various denominations, were recovered from the suspects. As already mentioned, investigation is on to ascertain the source of the new notes.” Omoni, however, stated that the clamp down will be a continuous operation, warning that the act of spraying Naira notes at events, soiling and writing on them were serious offences against the legal tender.

Phones / How To Find Your Wi-fi Password On Android & IOS by KatherineLove: 3:12pm On Nov 16, 2017
Anywhere we go, we most time switch on our Wi-Fi to check if there's possibly an available free Wi-Fi network which we can tap from. But, when it's not free, we tend to ask around for the passwords and it's something you might not get.

Now, assuming you got the password, input it and it successfully connected; you might not care to note down the password. This is where the query "How to find your Wi-Fi password" sets in your mind.

To many, getting to access Wi-Fi password which you've used seems like a journey to finding that strictly hidden treasure without hints.

Well, worry no more; in this article you'll learn how to fish out that password you have input before in order to help your friends enjoy some free stuff smiley.

Hope you've got your gadget(s) ready?
If yes! Let's proceed. You can bookmark this to always come back and check it out.

The first step is to download an Android app developed by Alexandros Schillings; this app is best known for helping people view Wi-Fi password(s) saved on your Android device.
Sounds good right?

The Alexandros Schillings made app is attributed to working with root access on the Android device; that's the only pinch of stress you'll encounter, after that, the app is fabulously cushy to meddle with.

Here's how to get Started:
1. Install Wi-Fi Key Recovery

Wi-Fi Key Recovery is the name of the developed Android app by Alexandros Schillings; you can download and install this app through Google Play Store for free (Just type the name in the provided search text area on Google Play Store). You'll find something it with the thumbnail, as you can see below:

Step 2
After installing and launching the app, it'll request for a Superuser access. Then, right on the popup, click on "Grant"; and Boom! all the Wi-Fi networks you've ever connected with will be looking straight into your eyes.
The "PSK" field reveals the password to each entry.

This is getting more interesting, isn't it? Yes or Yes? smiley Let's proceed.

There are quite more options you'll love to exploit, read attentively as the rest of this article shows them to you.

Here's another field called the "SSID Quicksearch"—this field is responsible for aiding users of the app locate specific Wi-Fi networks easily by searching it. It's no doubt that some people's Wi-Fi password list can occupy more than the book of a dictionary, so it's stress free to use that field.

Step 3: This app was brilliant enough to include the option of sharing passwords with other Android devices. It's simple; tap on any entry of your choice in the list, then you'll be placed before you a popup with options. This allows you to use Android's built-in sharing system to send either just the password, or the entire entry. There's also an option for sharing via QR code, but that requires that you install an additional app.

You may love to store this entire list for future purposes.
how do you do this?
Click on your device hardware menu button (or three-dot menu button in your software navigation bar). From here, select "Export" to generate a text file with all of this information.

From here, you can use Android's share menu to send this file to another device, or you can simply tap "To SD" if you'd rather save a copy of this text file to your device's storage partition. And of course, if your list isn't too long, you can always take (and share) a screenshot.

Retrieving Wi-Fi Passwords on Android

As we will have to open a system file on Android, we cannot use the traditional file explorer that comes pre-installed on the device. We will use ES File Explorer for the task. We have already seen a guide on how we can use ES File Explorer to view and edit system files on Android. Please have a look at the it if you are unaware of the process.

Now move up a folder (to the root folder) in ES File Explorer and you will see a directory called data. Navigate to data/misc/wifi folder and you will find a file named wpa_supplicant.conf. Tap on the file to open it up and make sure you use ES File Explorer ‘s built-in text/HTML viewer for the task.

In the file you should be able to see the network SSID and their passwords next to it. You can now search for the SSID (network name) and note down the password next to it and close the file.

Please make sure that you don’t edit the file or you might start having problems with your Wi-Fi connectivity. There are a certain number of apps listed in the Play Store for the task but it’s better to use this manual method to get the passwords than to install that adware crap.

Let’s now have a look at how we can get the passwords on an iOS device.

Retrieving Wi-Fi Passwords on iOS

If you have jailbroken your device, install a nifty tweak called NetworkList from Cydia. After you have installed the tweak, all you need to do is go to the Wi-Fi settings of your device and you will see a new button named Network Passwords in there. In iOS 7 it will be shown as Known Networks. Just tap on it and you will be able to see all the Wi-Fi passwords that are stored on your device.

Network list is very basic and only displays the passwords. You don’t even have the permission to select and copy it to your clipboard  to send it as a text message. You just need to use the conventional method of a pen and a paper, and write it down (or memorize it).

TV/Movies / Blogger Slams Startimes Twitter Handler For Rude Replies To Subscribers by KatherineLove: 10:20am On Oct 20, 2017
I'm sure this female individual behind the StarTimes twitter handle was trying to imitate the guy who once handled the EFCC page.

But, it's obvious that she only ended up being super unprofessional with her response to questions asked by subscribers; and excessively insulting them too.

StarTimes is undoubtedly a big brand, and has been in existence for years—using such person for handling the affairs of the page will result in making StarTimes look like a child's play.

Truth be told, 75% professionalism of any brand is always noticed from their Social Media pages (Facebook page, twitter, instagram and the likes).

I'm sure you must be curious to know the name of this handler; well, her name is OluwaFemi.

Now, this one is for you (OluwaFemi):
* Quit those senseless savage response you give whenever you're asked a qusstion. It's not all messages you'll reply to, that's not a personal account. What you're doing can tarnish the image of the twitter page, and if care is not taken, StarTimes as a whole.

As for StarTimes, if this repeats itself; either you caution her or take decisive steps to avoid such.

Politics / IPOB Remains Terrorist Group - Presidency by KatherineLove: 6:35am On Sep 26, 2017
[quote]Federal Government would not change its stance on the proscription of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) notwithstanding the recognition accorded it by the United States of America and other foreign nations as a non-terrorist group.

Special Adviser to the President on Prosecution, Okoi Obono-Obla, who made the disclosure said rather than yield to international position, promoters and members of the pro-Biafra group would soon be charged by the Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Mr. Abubakar Malami (SAN), for allegedly operating illegally in violation of Section 54 of the Companies and Allied Matters Act.

He explained that IPOB through its activities and operations terrorised, harassed or intimidated “those who do not subscribe it to its separatists ideology and ethnic bigotry before its proscription.

“So it is a terrorist organisation. This is also an organisation that was hounding and killing Nigerians in Rivers and Abia states before the military intervention.

“This is a group that was burning police stations, killing police officers, throwing bombs at military convoys, threatening to make the country ungovernable, threatening to stop governorship election in Anambra State. Most importantly, a court of competent jurisdiction (Federal High Court) presided over by the acting Chief Judge, Justice Abdul Kafarati upon an application filed by the Honourable Attorney General of the Federation hinged on Section 2 (1) (a) & (b) of the Terrorism (Prevention) Act granted an order proscribing IPOB. So, whether EU or United States or any foreign country says about IPOB is immaterial, irrelevant and of no moment.”

The lawyer added that the proscription of IPOB and its designation as a terrorist group by the court was Nigeria’s domestic affair, which foreign nations should not meddle in.

Obono-Obla warned that meddling in the internal affairs of Nigeria by the European Union and the United States of America could erode the nation’s sovereignty.

“I have previously said that the international community should not meddle in our internal affairs because doing that will amount to an erosion of our sovereignty. The EU has no business absolutely and totally with our internal matters. So, if EU says it does not see IPOB as a terrorist group, it does not matter as far as Nigeria is concerned.

“It is inconsequential. We all know by the definition of a terrorist organisation within the meaning of the term as defined by the provisions of the Terrorism (Prevention) Act , IPOB is a terrorist organisation. Also, by its advocacy and modus of operation, it is a terrorist organisation. It used to terrorise, harass or intimidate those who do not subscribe it to its separatist ideology and ethnic bigotry before its proscription.

“I want to add that the USA may say IPOB is not a terrorist organisation by US Law because it is a registered business concern in the State of California in the United States. However, by Nigerian law, a foreign company which is not registered by the Corporate Affairs Commission, by the provisions of Section 53 of the Companies and Allied Matters Act 2004 is illegal.

“And by Section 54 of the Companies and Allied Matters Act, it is a criminal offence for a foreign company to operate in Nigeria without registration. So, all this while, IPOB was operating in Nigeria illegally.”

Regardless of the Federal Government’s position, the Customary Government of the Indigenous People of Biafra (CG-IPOB) said the process to conduct a referendum for the Biafran people still living in Nigeria has been activated.

A statement signed by Director of Information, CG-IPOB, Ndubuisi Anaenugwu, said the Biafra Solicitors in the United Kingdom from the law chambers of Jaycee Gold Solicitors, London, has been instructed by the Bilie Human Rights Initiative and Bilie for Biafra, which represents IPOB in the United Nations ECOSOC to activate the referendum process.

The statement noted that the President General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Chief John Nnia Nwodo, the Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council of Elders of IPOB, Dr. Dozie Ikedife and the President of Alaigbo Development Foundation, Prof. Uzodimma Nwala have been notified and have received the documents filed at the United Nations.

Jaycee Gold Solicitors has filed the necessary documentations at the United Nations in accordance with the instructions, the statement claimed.

There are other processes and documentations that would be filed with the Nigerian authorities in due course. The journey to freedom by legal methodology has moved to another level,” the statement noted.

Anaenugwu also disclosed that a website to function as Biafran databank has been built even as he encouraged all Biafrans all over the world to visit the Biafran Customary Government Website and enter their details.

Meanwhile, a member of the House of the Representatives, Oladipupo Adebutu, has blamed the agitation by IPOB on the marginalisation.

“The body language of APC tends to suggest that there is first class, second class and third class citizenry in Nigeria. To me, that has been the main reason fueling this agitation,” he said.

Adebutu said the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) led government in the last 16 years had created an enabling environment and equal opportunity for Nigerians to thrive and maintained that the APC should be liable for the current woes being experienced by some sections of Nigeria.

He spoke, yesterday, while fielding questions from newsmen in Ijebu Ode, Ogun State.

Adebutu, who represents Remo Federal Constituency at the National Assembly, said though IPOB had genuine reasons to agitate, the situation must be handled with caution in order not to throw the country into turmoil.

The lawmaker, however, said similar situations of uncaring nature of the APC government had been witnessed in states the party was at the helm.

“It has now become imperative that people of Nigeria should take cognizance of people they elect into offices.

“We have the similar situation in Ogun State where the government has been uncaring. We have seen wanton destruction of properties.”[/quotes]

Politics / Abaribe, Jewish High Priest Risk Jail As Lawyer Says Kanu’s Whereabouts Unknown by KatherineLove: 5:58am On Sep 26, 2017
Unknown whereabout of the leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Mr. Nnamdi Kanu, may have placed a serving Senator, Enyinnaya Abaribe and a Jewish High Chief Priest, Immanuu El-Shalom, at risk of being sent to prison.

Both Abaribe who is representing Abia South Senatorial District and El-Shalom, had on April 28, entered an undertaken to produce Kanu before the Abuja Division of the Federal High Court on October 17 to face treasonable felony charge the Federal Government preferred against him and four other pro-Biafra agitators. Kanu was billed to appear before trial Justice Binta Nyako to be re-arraigned on an amended five count charge marked FHC/ABJ/CR/383/2015, alongside his co-defendants, Chidiebere Onwudiwe, Benjamin Madubugwu, David Nwawuisi and Bright Chimezie. However, Kanu’s lead counsel, Mr. Ifeanyi Ejiofor, in a telephone interview with Vanguard last night, said he does not know the whereabout of his client. Ejiofor said his only contact with the IPOB leader was few minutes before the Nigerian Army “invaded” his (Kanu’s) hometown.

He said that Kanu called him on phone, complaining that he was under attack from soldiers that were deployed to his compound by FG. Ejiofor who said he would not be surprised if FG decides to move against those that stood surety for his client, maintained that the burden was on the prosecution to produce Kanu in court on the adjourned date. “The fact is that they are in a position to produce him at the next adjourned date. It is public knowledge that my client had before his house was invaded, always made himself available for trial.

“He never evaded trial as he made it known that he was ready. If he wanted to jump bail, he would have done so immediately he was released from prison. But he did not run. “The last time I spoke with my client was the day his house was invaded by soldiers. He called me and complained that he was being attacked by soldiers who he said were shooting sporadically. since then, I have not heard from my client again.

“If he is alive, they should tell the court on that day. They will not only explain to the trial court, but will also produce the soldiers that went to his home to attack him”, Ejiofor added. FG had among other things, alleged that Kanu, his co-defendants and other persons still at large, had “on diverse dates in 2014 and 2015 in Nigeria and London, United Kingdom, did conspire amongst yourselves to broadcast on Radio Biafra monitored in Enugu and other areas within the jurisdiction of this honourable court, preparations being made by you and others at large, for states in the South-East and South-South zones and other communities in Kogi and Benue States to secede from the Federal Republic of Nigeria with a view to constituting same into a Republic of Biafra and you thereby committed an offence punishable under section 516 of the Criminal Code Act, Cap C38 Laws of the Federation of Nigeria, 2000”.

It told the court that Kanu had “on or about the 28th April, 2015 in London, United Kingdom did in a broadcast on Radio Biafra monitored in Enugu, Enugu state and other parts of Nigeria within the jurisdiction of this honourable court, referred to Major General Muhammadu Buhari, GCON, President and Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria as a paedophile, a terrorist, an idiot and an embodiment of evil, knowing same to be false and you thereby committed an offence contrary to section 375 of the Criminal Code Act, Cap C. 38 Laws of the Federation of Nigeria, 2004”.

Kanu who is the 1st defendant, is facing four out of the five count amended charge. Meanwhile, as the scheduled trial date draws closer, insinuations are rife that the IPOB leader who has remained incommunicado since the Nigerian Military began its code-named Operation Python Dance II, in the South East, particularly in his state, may not make himself available “for security reasons”. This was even as a member of the prosecution team that spoke to Vanguard last night, disclosed that FG would on October 17, not only move the court to revoke Kanu’s bail, but equally apply for a bench warrant to be issued against his three sureties.

According to the government lawyer who craved anonymity because he was not cleared to speak on the matter: “The position of the law is very clear to the effect that when a defendant jumps bail, his surety is made to pay for the offence upon which the trial was based. It is there in the Administration of Criminal Justice Act. “If for any reason Kanu fails to submit himself for trial on October 17, we will have no other option than to apply for immediate arrest of all his three sureties. We will move the trial court to issue a bench warrant against them. “We have their full details, and don’t forget that they were made to sign an undertaken by the court before the defendant was released on bail”, he added.

It will be recalled that Justice Nyako had in a ruling on April 25 released Kanu on bail after he had spent a year and seven months in detention, though the court okayed his co-defendants to remain in prison custody. The court which stressed that it released Kanu on health ground, however compelled him to produce three sureties, including “a Jewish leader” and a “highly placed person of Igbo extraction”, who all deposited N100million each. Aside Abaribe and El-Shalom, a Chartered Accountant residing in Abuja, Mr. Tochukwu Uchendu, equally signed undertaken as Kanu’s third surety. Kanu who was arrested upon his return to Nigeria from the United Kingdom on October 14, 2015, got his sureties, three days after he was granted bail by the high court.

The IPOB leader had earlier filed a motion, asking the trial Judge to vary some of the bail conditions he maintained were arbitrary and unconstitutional. As part of his conditions for bail, Kanu was expressly barred by the court from attending any rally or granting any form of interview. “I must stress it here that the defendant must not attend any rally. He must not be in a crowd exceeding 10 persons”, the Judge warned. The court insisted that the IPOB leader must sign an undertaken to make himself available for trial at all times. He was equally ordered to surrender his Nigerian and British international passports. In his motion for variation of the bail conditions, Kanu contended that some of the conditions were directly in conflict with his constitutionally guaranteed fundamental human rights and therefore ought to be set-aside.

Aside challenging the variation request, FG, in a fresh application it filed on August 25, applied for Kanu’s bail to be revoked. It predicated the application on section 169 and 173(2) of the Administration of Criminal Justice Act, 2015. Describing Kanu as a threat to national security, FG alleged that he engaged in several acts it said were capable of sparking civil unrest and anarchy in the country. It specifically applied for an order “directing the arrest and committing of the 1st defendant to custody pending trial".

The advert which was done on a billboard in Port Harcourt had the faces of Falz, Dandizzy, Legendary Suni, Tekno and Klint D’drunk on it and has been slammed publicly by Falz; how sure am I if Dandizzy and Legendary Suni were legally billed on the event.

Enough said! Check out a Screenshot from Falz’s Instagram page.

Crime / Boko Haram Kills Seven In Attack On Displaced Camp by KatherineLove: 1:13pm On Sep 09, 2017
At least seven people were killed when Boko Haram jihadists attacked a camp for people displaced by the conflict in northeast Nigeria, militia members and locals said Saturday. The attack on Friday evening in Ngala, near the border with Cameroon, came as two people were killed in an explosion outside another camp in the Borno state capital, Maiduguri. In Ngala, a civilian militia member, Umar Kachalla, said jihadists in two pick-up trucks fired a rocket-propelled grenade at the camp, which houses some 80,000 people.

“They (Boko Haram) fired an RPG into the camp from behind the fire fence, killing seven people and injuring several others,” he told AFP from the neighbouring town of Gamboru. The attack, which happened at about 8:00 pm (1900 GMT), was followed by sustained gunfire as the jihadists drove away into the darkness, he added. Ngala resident Abubakar Yusuf, who corroborated Kachalla’s account, said: “The casualties were relatively minimal because most people had retired for the night.”

The camp in Ngala was set up in January last year after the return of thousands of Nigerian refugees from Cameroon, where they had fled the fighting. Boko Haram seized the trading hubs of Gamboru and Ngala in August 2014, during the group’s rapid seizure of territory across Borno state and the wider northeast. Nigerian troops retook both towns in September 2015 with the help of Chadian forces.

But despite the recapture of the area, Boko Haram fighters still launch sporadic attacks, laying ambush to troops and vehicles as well as attacking and abducting farmers. – Rise in attacks – Nigeria’s military and government maintains the Islamic State group affiliate is a spent force but continued attacks underlines the lingering threat, particularly to civilians. Eight farmers were killed in a series of raids on farming communities on Wednesday and Thursday. Four others were shot dead on Tuesday.

Many of the victims had returned home to try to grow crops to alleviate acute food shortages that have left hundreds of thousands of people on the brink of starvation. Amnesty International said a spurt in Boko Haram attacks has left nearly 400 people dead since April in Nigeria and Cameroon — double the figure of the previous five months. In Maiduguri on Friday, two people were killed in an explosion outside the Muna Garage camp for internally displaced people (IDPs).

Babakura Kolo, from the civilian militia assisting the military with security, said two women were asked to get out of a taxi laden with bags of charcoal at a checkpoint. “One of the women tried to run into a crowd nearby but the explosives concealed under her hijab went off prematurely,” he said. “A female passenger in the taxi and a rickshaw driver trailing behind were killed in the explosion,” he said in an account supported by a militia colleague, Musa Ari. Five people — the taxi driver, another passenger and three men in the rickshaw — were injured, they added. Kolo, who was at the scene, said a second female suicide bomber was also killed with the first in the initial blast.

Politics / Lai Mohammed Speaks On Nnamdi Kanu's Court Case, Says FG Won't Interfere by KatherineLove: 12:49pm On Sep 09, 2017
- Nigeria's information minister, Alhaji Lai Mohammed has spoken on the court case involving Mazi Nnamdi Kanu

- Alhaji Mohammed says government won't interfere in the judicial process to influence the case

- The Indigenous Peoples of Biafra (IPOB) leader is billed to appear in court soon The minister of information and culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, has promised Nigerians that the federal government has no plan to influence the court case of IPOB leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.

Alhaji Mohammed stated this when he received broadcast media editors who paid him a courtesy visit in his office on Friday, September 8 in Abuja. The minister stated that though the federal government has the right to go to court to lodge a complaint, but the power to decide on revoking the bail lies solely on the court.

Lai Mohammed said the federal government won't interfere in judicial process in the IPOB leader's case
His words: ‘‘The matter is purely a judicial matter. Once a matter is in the court, it is for the court to say these conditions I set for you, you have respected them or not. ‘‘We would not tele-guide the court on what to do or what not to do. As a government, we have a right to go to court and lodge a complaint that you gave a condition and the accused has obeyed or disobeyed the terms of the bail, then the decision will be left to court to decide.

‘‘This is simple judicial overture which has no political overtone.’’ The IPOB leader is billed to appear in court later this month after he was granted bail on health grounds on Tuesday, April 25. As part of his bail conditions, Kanu was ordered never to grant any press interview pending the outcome of his trial.

The court also ordered that he should not be in a gathering of more than 10 persons at a time. The presiding judge in the case, Justice Binta Nyako had said Kanu's bail will be revoked if any of the orders are flouted. Kanu has repeatedly flouted the bail conditions as he has granted interviews to foreign media houses and addressed large crowds of IPOB supporters.

Nairaland / General / FG Warns State Govts, Lga's To Brace Up For More Flood by KatherineLove: 9:40am On Sep 08, 2017
The Federal Government yesterday warned that the millions of Nigerians across the 314 local government areas may be affected by varying degrees of flooding.

The government through the Nigeria Hydrological Services Agency (NIHSA) had warned in an Annual Flood Outlook (AFO) to brace for flood-related challenges, The Nation reports.

The Water Resources Minister, Suleiman Adamu, told reporters in Abuja,…“So, I am sure all the states of the federation have environmental laws that guard against what is happening, especially issues like erecting buildings on the watercourse.

“So, I don’t think they need to be reminded of this; they just need to make sure that their agencies are making the necessary surveillance and kind of regulating this development.

“Number two issues like cleaning of drainages and so; I think this is something that everybody should do not only the government at state or local government level, even the community themselves should be involved.

“Why do we have environmental sanitation in many states, it is for them to be able to do this and we know that this thing is going to happen and they are the ones directly affected.

“Why must they wait for the government to come and do this thing for them and what are the local governments doing.

“But let me also say that the Annual Flood Outlook (AFO) we normally provide is not for show. It is serious government’s business to alert the nation of what is likely to come.

“And then it is the responsibility of those sub-national governments to take it up from there.

“We have shared the information with everybody, with all the states. It’s their responsibility to take it down to the local governments.”

Mr Adamu said that the dredging of Rivers Niger and Benue were part of government’s effort at curbing the menace of flood in the country.

“We approved such an idea to dredge Rivers Niger and Benue which we have found very useful and we will do a lot to safeguard the banks of the rivers and the communities downstream from excessive flooding.” the minister said.

“We need to look at a realistic solution to this problem, the dredging of River Benue is very important in addressing this flood issue and we will do something about it.’’

The government, he said, was not only concerned about this year’s flood disaster but the 2012 disaster too and would find permanent solution to Benue incessant flooding.

“The intention of the Federal Government is not just to assist flood victims but also to find ways of providing real opportunities to help Nigerians improve their standard of living,” he assured.

According to the Manager at the International Market Camp for Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in Makurdi, the Benue State capital, James Iorhuna, no fewer than 4,775 persons have been dislodged from their homes, have registered.

The camp was set up following flood which displaced more than 100,000 persons in 21 local government areas of the Northcentral state.

Iorhuna said, “We have so far registered 1,387 male children, 1,349 female children, 531 men, 642 women, 585 children under the age of five, 92 pregnant women, 115 nursing mothers and 74 physically challenged persons.”

The camp manager said the United Nations Children Education Fund (UNICEF) had provided water and 40 toilets at the camp, while other basic needs of the IDPs were being met.

Some states governments, including Lagos, have urged residents to relocate from flood paths to avoid disaster. Lagos is among the states listed by the NIHSA to brace for flooding. The agency advised the state to take proactive measures in 18 local government areas. They are: Badagry, Ojo, Amuwo-Odofin, Apapa, Eti-Osa, Epe, Agege, Mushin, Somolu, Lagos Island, Lagos Mainland, Surulere, Ajeromi-Ifelodun, Ibeju-Lekki, Kosofe, Ifako-Ijaye, Ikeja and Ikorodu.

Last week, the Lagos State government, through its Environment Commissioner Babatunde Adejare, advised residents in the listed local governments to find a safer haven, informing them of plans to release water from the Ogun-Osun Dam.

In Delta State, the government is collaborating with the Federal Government and the World Bank to initiate remediation projects in five communities.

It launched yesterday the Nigeria Erosion and Watershed Management Project (NEWMAP), in Asaba. Governor Ifeanyi Okowa said the project will proffer solution to erosion and environmental challenges.

He described as worrisome, the existence of over 100 active erosion and flood ravaged sites in the Southsouth state.

He said, “The World Bank has partnered with us in different areas and we are happy with the development as we are ready to partner with any organisation or individual that is ready to assist our people, especially, those in erosion and flood prone areas, and in the area of our job creation efforts.”

Some of the flood-prone local governments as listed by NIHSA’s annual flood outlook are: Abia’s four local governments of Umuahia South, Umuahia North, Ukwa West and Ukwa East – are to be affected; nine local government areas in Cross River State; six council areas in Ebonyi; 15 and 11 local government areas in Rivers and Akwa Ibom states respectively.

In Ogun State, six local government areas – Abeokuta North, Abeokuta South, Ifo, Obafemi-Owode, Ijebu-East and Ogun Waterside – are to be affected. Sixteen of the 33 local government areas to experience varying dimensions of floods.

At a workshop on AFO in Abuja, the NIHSA Director-General, Dr. Moses Beckley predicted flooding in eight major rivers across the country. He advised residents living in flood prone areas to relocate.

The expected areas of flooding are: Niger, Benue, Sokoto-Rima, Anambra-Imo, Cross River, Niger Delta, Komadougu-Yobe, Ogun-Osun and several other sub-basins of the country.
