I know this post is old. But I did a Google search and found this post and I assumed others looking for real estate companies in Lagos are landing on this post too. I thought I might as well make it useful for them.

You asked for the top 10 real estate companies in Nigeria. I know some reliable ones because I work with them regularly and can verge for them. I listed them in a post I created and even talked a bit about them. Read the post at >>> http://landforsaleinlagos.com/list-real-estate-companies-in-nigeria-lagos-reliable-best-estate-developers/
Politics / Fuel Subsidy Removal In Nigeria - Why I Am Not Disappointed by kay4biz(f): 1:45am On Jan 06, 2012
The most authentic book ever written, the bible, advices "Do not put your trust on thy noble", and like many other advices it gives, if you aid it, you will be able to avoid a lot of pain affecting others and be well prepared for the ones you can't avoid.

Ever since I can remember, I have conditioned myself not to expect anything from anyone, so that when they act below expectation, I don't feel disappointed. Expect nothing from anyone and you will never be disappointed.

We elect Leaders with the hope that they will put into consideration our needs at all times, do their best to make sure the average ones can at least get their basic needs, stand up for us when we can't and protect us as much as possible. But I can't remember any of our leaders that have even tried to protect us it citizens.

Many expected a lot from this administration because they felt the number one man, Goodluck Jonathan could relate with what they are really going through in this country as during his campaign he took them back to his childhood days when he had no shoes. But unfortunately they are disappointed yet again, and this might just be the worse disappointment ever experienced by the Nigerian citizen.

Though fuel subsidy had been talked about much before it was finally removed, I never really understood what it was all about until 1st of January 2012, when it was officially announced that fuel subsidy has been removed. Since then, Nigerians have been faced with a sudden hardship as a liter of fuel went from N65 to N145 affecting all aspects of living of the Nigerian masses. Those who traveled home to celebrate the holidays are stuck where they are because now they will have to pay 3-4 times the amount it cost them to travel, back to their base. Every household item has increased in price, transport fair to any part or area in the country has skyrocketed and every sector of the country is feeling the pain of fuel subsidy removal.

There has been protesting for government to call off the removal of fuel subsidy in some part of the Country, and labour union is threatening to go for a nationwide strike come 9th January 2012 called ‘Mother of all strikes’ according to a labour leader. And so far it doesn't seem the labour union will get what they want as government seem to be determined to see this through. Instead of calling off fuel subsidy, government is promising to bring in 1600 buses and provide job opportunities in effort to mitigate the effect of fuel subsidy removal on the masses.
But if the leaders really care about it citizens needs, should these things and more not have been in place before commencing the removal?

What is my business in all this?

It saddens me to see how all this is affecting Nigerian masses, especially workers. Business owners and even those in transportation are easily breaking even by increasing the cost of their item or transport fair. And the masses have no choice than to pay any amount charged because they need it. In fact those in transportation are probably happy because they are making more profit. Those who will really feel the effect of fuel subsidy are the Nigerian workers who leave on a single income source, salary; because no matter how bad things get, salaries will not be increased, instead, more people might be laid off as a means to cut cost.

My elder sister as a mean to cut cost recently, suspended the home lesson for her kids, saving some extra money for the family, but cutting off one source of income for the kids teacher. But when things really get hard, it's every man for himself. So more and more families will lose their source of income as many others try to cut cost.

I have always encouraged those living on monthly salary to do whatever it takes to create additional sources of income because of lack of job security, and now more than ever people’s jobs are being threatened. Imagine what will happen if you suddenly lose your job? And don't say God forbid because it happens every now and then, and could happen to you whether you forbid it or not.

If you want a secured future, then stop relying too much on the system. It has failed us and no leader now or ever is going to really care about the masses needs. The sooner you start to take responsibilities for your life and that of your offspring, the better.

Fortunately technology has made things a lot easier than they used to be. Now you can keep a job and use your spare time to create additional income sources right from your home. To create additional income sources, you no longer need to go the traditional way of first saving about half a million or even a million naira to start up a business - rent a shop, furnish it, buy equipments you need or goods and spend several thousands of naira monthly to run it. Things are much, much easier now. You can start lucrative home based businesses in your spare time with few thousands of naira and build it up to start making you good passive incomes.

And you don’t even have to spend a dime learning about how to go about this as  an initiative called the Dreams Self Achievers Naija is set up to mentor for free, Nigerians who are ready to take responsibility for themselves and start chasing their dreams. You only need to subscribe free to the Dreams Come True newsletter through which you will be sent wealth creation tips, how to start and set up lucrative part-time home based businesses with almost zero cost, business and investment opportunities you will never have heard about, motivational tips including support when you need it. And all these is offered free as the initiative is about helping Nigerians reach their financial potentials.

So nothing is stopping you really from creating additional income sources.  Visit www.mydreamsturntoreality.com and sign up free to the initiative, upon sign up you will get immediate access to the ebook many can’t stop talking about: “The Business Millionaire 5 Money Making Weapons – How to Apply them and Start Building your Wealth Right Away”.

That book alone directs you well on how to easily start on the path of creating additional sources of income and eventually wealth. And fortunately it’s free for download.

If you think you’ve seen the real effect of fuel subsidy removal, you’re very wrong.

According to Thisdaylive.com on January 4, 2012: "NLC President, Comrade Abdulwaheed Omar, has predicted a tough year for Nigerians in 2012 and called on Nigerians to role up their sleeves to assert their sovereignty. He insisted that unless the government changes its mindset and adopts patriotic and pro-people policies and programmes, the year 2012 would be a very difficult year for Nigerians, as it would be characterized by hyper inflation, more job losses, insecurity, growing government intolerance and deepening poverty."

I say, take responsibility for your life and that of your immediate household now. Do not depend or wait on someone else to, else be ready to take whatever they serve you without complaining.

Start taking the steps to create a change today by visiting www.mydreamsturntoreality.com to sign up free to Dreams Self Achievers Naija initiative. It wouldn’t take you 5 minutes, and that 5 minutes will make all the difference in your life later on.

I wish you well
Business / Oh, Another Year Is Gone: What Happens To My Dreams? by kay4biz(f): 2:51am On Dec 04, 2011
GT Guitarman once sang:

“When am I going to be what I want to be, when am I going to see what I want to see, time is ticking and I can’t wait no more, do dreams ever come true in this part of the world?”

Can you relate? Do you wonder if dreams still come true in this part of the world?

It's okay if you do. The country we find ourselves doesn't exactly give us much hope.

Nigeria has failed its citizens. The economy is getting worse by the day and the entire system is working against us. While a few live in extreme abundance, majority struggle to have two square meals a day. Children who are supposed to be in school are at home because their parents can’t afford to pay their school fees. In some cases the child losses a year or two of school or even worse, some gets withdrawn from school.

Most parents struggle everyday to put meal on the table for their families. Consumable products increase in cost everyday because of the increase in cost of production. Small businesses that can’t keep up with the daily expenses involved in running a business in Nigeria are quickly shut down. Students spend 6-8 years in college (because of the regular strike) just so they can obtain a degree, but after they do, getting a job becomes another struggle. Most graduates are left without a job, so there are many people with different levels of certificates who can’t feed themselves and since that is all they know, they find it difficult to move on.

Some graduates that are lucky to get a job can’t even sustain themselves with their monthly salaries, even worse; some don’t get paid that small salary until after another month or two. As a result a lot of workers live on borrowing from others.

What about the ones that are gainfully employed? They lack job security. We are aware of how some banks terminated the employments of their staffs without a warning not too long ago. Daily newspapers sometimes reads stories of such ones finding it difficult to move on in life because some of them took loans from their banks that they had to pay back with the benefits that was suppose to be due to them upon the termination of their employment. So they were left with little to nothing to continue life with, and these set of people are used to a lifestyle that requires money to maintain.

Termination of employments without warning is now a common thing in the country, so even the employed live in fear of losing their job.

These are some major issues we are faced with in our country and there’s no sign of a significant change happening in the next 10-20 years.

So what happens to our dream then, to your dream? Do you just settle for the cramps being handed to you and say it’s fate, or fight for the kind of life you want? I am hoping you are willing to fight for your dream because I have some good news.

Do dreams ever come true in this part of the world? Of course they do, we have some examples of people who’ve made their dreams come true here in Nigeria all by themselves and you can too.

It’s time for us to stop asking which way Nigeria, recognize that the system has failed us and take charge of our lives. All we need to achieve financial success is within us; we just need to be re-oriented and given the right kind of knowledge, the purpose for which an initiative has been set up.

Invitation to the Dreams Self Achievers Naija

I invite you to the Dreams Self Achievers Naija initiative. An initiative set up to accommodate those who have dreams and are ready to learn and make the necessary sacrifices required for them to achieve the life they've always dreamed about.

All these will guide them to their financial potential.

And upon your sign up, you get free exclusive access to the e-book: "The Business Millionaire 5 Money Making Weapons - How to Apply them and Start Building your Wealth Right Away" It's nothing like any book you've read.

To follow this e-book soon is a free 7 day email course titled: "7 Steps 7 Days to your Dreams". So there's a lot in store.

Knowledge you know is power and with the type of regular knowledge the members of the Dreams Self Achievers Naija will be receiving, by the end of 2012 there lives will never be the same again, except the ones that are just lazy, that read but refuses to act upon what they've read.

Before you blame someone for not living the life that you want, ask yourself: "How much effort have I put to achieve the life that I want for myself?"

We all want to live abundantly, but too many of us are too lazy to make that kind of life happen for us. This is the reason why though everyone can become rich and wealthy, but not everyone will.

T.E. Lawrence once said: “All men dream, but not equally. Those who dream by night in the dusty recesses of their minds, wake in the day to find that it was vanity: but the dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they may act on their dreams with open eyes, to make them possible.”

Visit www.mydreamsturntoreality.com

My goal for setting up this initiative is to enlighten as many Nigerians as possible about other simpler but more rewarding options available to them to use to create the kind of life that they want for themselves. At the end my satisfaction comes from helping many people reach their goals and being recognize for something good. And there's the fact that if you help others long enough, you will be helped too.

I hope you come on board,

All the best, and I wish you all you wish yourself come 2012.

Jobs/Vacancies / Position For Independent Sales Representatives by kay4biz(f): 10:57pm On Oct 08, 2011
Hello, a U.S. based company is coming to Nigeria soon, needs independent sales representatives here in Nigeria.

As an Independent sales representative, you can work part-time while you keep another job or do something else, as long as you continue to promote the company's product and turn in good results you'll earn well.

Payment based on commissions and bonuses but there is great room for growth with the company.

Once the company officially comes to Nigeria, they'll have an office in Lagos where you can get orders for people.

You'll be provided with great support to ensure you turn in good sales and earn well with the company.

I am always looking for extra ways to earn extra income. And I think this is a very great way for those looking for a job, those working looking to supplement their income and business owners to create good extra income. Fortunately there's no limit to the number of people they're looking for since payment is based on commission.

And I must add that their product is a very great health product, with lots of award and I'm sure it will be easy to market. So it's a great opportunity.

I have applied for the position, and I'm getting great support from the company already (I get different helpful tips in my email on how to grow with their company) even while they've not officially open. That's why I thought to share it here, to give others opportunity with this company.

You can read more about the company at www.blogging-the-beginners-complete-guide.com/independent-sales-representative.html and fill the application form there.

All the best

Adverts / Re: The Best Way To Make Money Online by kay4biz(f): 2:28am On Sep 21, 2011
@achuga200 You are only allowed to have one adsense account except when really necessary - when you need a separate business account. But all you need is one adsense account and you can get your adsense code and earnings from the account even though you have one million blogs or sites.

@INFO70, @Olympus, @LagBlogger Blogging is not the best way to make money online, it's one of the easiest ways to get started online, but we know that getting started and actually making money are two different things.

@Obxddon If you want to learn to blog, go to www.blogging-the-beginners-complete-guide.com its content are presented in a simple to understand format and step by step, just take your time on the site, you'll find all the information you want, from creating a blog, writing content, getting visitors and making money.

And those who have questions to ask, I notice people don't bother to answer questions, so a good way to get instant answers to whatever questions you have is to use www.google.com just type your question there and it will give you relevant sites that provide answers to your questions.
Business / Re: I Need Info On How To Pay For Google Adwords Advert by kay4biz(f): 3:03am On Dec 31, 2010
You need a credit card. I have paid for adwords twice with my GTB Visa card.

To get a GTB visa card you need $230 dollars. They collect $30 for the card and $200 is the minimum you can have on the card before it can be activated after you collect it at the bank.

The documents you need for it to be opened are:

Your last paid Nepa bill

I think a passport (I'm not sure)

Just visit GTB and collect and fill the form. A domiciliary account usually comes with a Visa card

He is probably not in Nigeria which makes the recharge card useless to him as he said.
you can as well text it to my telephone number 08033919924, I will appreciate Jay bee for it.

You make a good point. It never occurred to me to check his location. I guess I thought since it's nairaland everyone should be a Nigerian. Sorry.

As for sending you the recharge card, you're not desperately in need are you? Because Jaybee wants it to be used to help someone desperately in need. A beggar according to him. I already had someone in mind before that needs it more than a lot of us but if Jaybee approves that I send it to you, then I'll do that. I'll await Jaybee's comment.

The recharge card is pretty useless to me so pls give the 1000 naira to any begger of your choice on your way home today.
Thnx

Hello Jaybee,

I am sure a Nigerian recharge card is No useless to a Nigerian except you don't have a phone, lol. But I think I know what you mean. Anyway, I don't go out often and when I do it's not usually in my habit to look for beggars so I can't promise to give it to a beggar but I can assure you that I will give it to someone who will appreciate it and I would make sure to tell the person how the money came about.

Take care Jay.
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Can You Answer This Interview Question? 199 Applicants Tried But Failed It! by kay4biz(f): 1:45am On Dec 29, 2010
Hello everyone,

It been nice reading all your answers. Some where interesting and others were funny but that was the point.

The one person that got the job out of the 200 applicants that were asked simply said:

“I would give the car keys to my old friend and let him take the sick woman to the hospital. Then, I could stay behind and wait for the bus with the partner of my dreams”

Moral of the Question

The lesson according to where this story was picked from is that the person in the story was ready to give up in order to get up and go on. Give up some time, money, comfort, etc, to help others. You will get it all back because every good you do will re-write your story for good.

The Winner

If I choice to be strict, I would say no one got the answer. Everyone that said they'll stay with their partner didn't actually say they'll stay with her to wait for a bus which is important because it was a stormy night and so you obviously can't spend it talking. You can only wrap her up with perhaps your jacket and pray to God a bus comes your way.

But this isn't an interview for a job neither am I an interviewer, so I'll give it to Jaybee.

Please contact me for your recharge card.

Take care everybody
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Can You Answer This Interview Question? 199 Applicants Tried But Failed It! by kay4biz(f): 2:06am On Dec 24, 2010
Hello everyone,

Like I said before this was going to be interesting and so far it is.

@Thespecialone will you tell the interviewer that a perfect partner doesn't exist? That is not the question you were asked remember. But good effort though.

@Stemkay you make a very good point. What if your friend can't drive?

@Jaybee @goksonkay and @9jaman007 the 3 of you have the same answers and it actually makes sense because everyone ended up happy. Does that make it the right answer? Well, we'll see.

@Deko24 that is a nice twist that would have been appropriate but sorry in the case that twist doesn't apply. That's a typo, I meant to say 'pass'. So forgive me please.
Jobs/Vacancies / Can You Answer This Interview Question? 199 Applicants Tried But Failed It! by kay4biz(f): 4:49am On Dec 23, 2010
Imagine that you are driving along in a car on a wild, cold, stormy night, when you passed by a bus stop, and saw three people waiting for a bus:

1. An elderly woman who is having a life-threatening health trauma.

2. An old friend who once saved your life.

3. The perfect life partner you have been dreaming about.

But your car can only take one passenger. Who among the 3 would you give a ride?

Some Reasoning to Help you out

You could pick up the old lady, because she is going to die and thus you want to save her first; or you could take the old friend because he once saved your life, and this would be the perfect chance to pay him back.
However, you may never be able to find your perfect mate again.

Only one person out of the 200 applicants that were asked this question got it right and got the job. Could you have been that one person if you had been among the 200 applicants asked? Oh you think you could have? Let me see you prove it! Try your luck at giving me the answer here.

Be the First to get it Right and get N1,000 Recharge Card

If someone answers correctly within the first 10 replies the person gets a N1,000 recharge card of his or her desired network from me.

Note: Only if the correct answer is within the first 10 replies. If it's above 10 the person gets a good clap and proves his intelligent but no financial reward. The point of adding this clause is to reward regular visit to the forum because if you didn't you wouldn't be early enough to answer it and also fast thinking ultimately.

If after 2 weeks no one answer's it correct I'll post the answer.

This should be fun and educating so I look forward to your replies.
Career / Re: University Degree Only For Gaining Self Confidence by kay4biz(f): 10:56pm On Dec 19, 2010
A university degree doesn't give self confidence, self confidence most times is a natural attribute though can be built. There are a lot of university graduates that can't even brace themselves up to speak in public.

A degree does give you some right when you are among people that care whether or not you're a graduate. But it doesn't make or mar you though I will always support education but not necessarily to the level of holding a degree even though I am not against it. Having some form of education makes you see things clearly and identify with who you are and what you want. And whether or not you choose to go as far as having a degree, you will be able to express yourself clearly in whatever field you find yourself.
Romance / Re: Would You Marry Someone Below Your Status?: Vote by kay4biz(f): 1:26am On Dec 18, 2010
I voted Yes but if I have to explain I would say Yes and No

Yes if the person is a nobody that has aspirations and working towards achieving a better lifestyle. Like a mechanic that is doing a part-time program in a university in order to improve himself or saving to open his own mechanic shop. A shoe maker planning to open his own shoe factory, you get the gist.

But a BIG NO if he is a mechanic that settles to playing the boy boy or a shoe maker that is satisfied with just repairing shoes at the road side, of course there are other examples.

Bottom line, the man I would marry should be a big dreamer. No, not just at night but he should also wake up dreaming! You know what that means right?
