KPIs are measured by Agent Schedule Adherence, Service Level Agreement, Quality Rating, Average Handling Time, and first call resolution.

we get daily, weekly and monthly reports. If a representative gets below 85% for 3 consecutive months, he/she gets called out. You might even get a warning mail, depending on how bad the performance is. @kaycodes

For us we have a weekly ticket target.

KPI's are measured through customer's assessment of their support experience. It's a perform or quit kind of environment.

The beauty is you get to know where you stand on a daily basis, and there are willing colleagues and managers to help you develop into top notch talent.

Helloflife:
We started dating last year november.
We haven't gone intimate yet and he doesn't even pressurize me.
Truth is, i don't love him, and i think i made a mistake accepting to date him.
I've found out we have literally nothing in common.

Throughout our relationship, i've never said the word "i love you" to him.
He called last night and asked me if i love him and i couldn't give a direct answer cause i didn't want him to get hurt.

Dear romancelanders, whats the best way i could tell him how i really feel?

Young lady, please you need to first have a clear definition of love.

Maybe paste a line or two, about what you think love is, then I'll chip in some advice.

All the best

What is expected from each tier or level in a support organisation....

Could you please share hiwbyour organisation measures KPI of support personnel? I believe that is usually a main driver in ensuring quality support deliverables.

Sorry again this is a fallacy. You are seen the way you present yourself. Most men flaunt the little change they have because of the perception that women love money.. the real question is who doesn't?

I have seen scenarios where a guy meets a lady, asks her out, and the lady says "I am not interested" then he goes out of his way to seduce her with gifts and and all that stuff like the money was forced out of his pocket, later he starts whining that the girl too like money. Please we need to be objective most times jare...

Seeing Jay Jay Okocha (a married man) doing this, shows what a lot of married guys do despite having a beautiful wife at home. They cant help but stare at a woman's backside anytime they see a sexy lady. Lusting and craving to take her to bed. A woman is not a sex object. Men should stop seeing them as one...There is more to a woman than sex.

Mr. you are addressed the way you are dressed, was not just coined to ridicule ladies. It applies to everyone as well.

First impressions matter a great deal in any endeavour, so when you wear some as.s hugging clothes and wiggle your bum bum around, some crazy fellow is gonna get attracted to whatever you are selling...

I once asked a lady why she always wears tight clothes despite knowing that she is heavily endowed, she said "That's what you guys like now"

Imagine that response. Most women believe that the only way to attract a man is by being sexy so they would do anything to display their sexy features.

The only thing they end up attracting is the man's JT, later they say men are wicked.

Most women objectify themselves, we men only call it what it is.

I'm a Customer Service Professional and I love what I do. It could be challenging sometimes, especially when dealing with difficult customers, but I've come to enjoy even those encounters. It's a shift job and that's where I have the MOST challenge @kaycodes

Welcome to the club.

With my introverted personality, I never felt I would love dealing with people that much until now. Maybe it's because of the environment where I work or something, but there is something about being able to help people that keeps me going.

As for the challenges, yeah the timing can be awful sometimes, personally my schedule, although not shift based, but is also a bit difficult as I have to work during US Eastern Standard Time.

One of the beauty of supporting people in my role is, I learn something new each day.

Someday we can compare notes on our organisations approach to support in line with international best practices.

So basically what certifications are you aiming for... Am personally planning to take the ITILv3 Intermediate certifications now. As am working towards a management role.

Hey guys,

I see a lot of thread for different professionals on Nairaland, I believe that we have customer service professionals in the house.

Please share your experience, comments and suggestion here.

You can simply start by introducing yourself, and the environment you work in, not necessarily your organisation details

Like they say, customers are always right. However we at the other end of the phone line know that this is never the case.

Whether you're just there to make customers feel better about their day or you're in the technical side of things, I believe we can share ideas and learn from each other as different companies have different standards when it comes to customer satisfaction.

Personally I am a Technical support engineer with an international software company, and having to deal with customers from a totally different culture has been challenging as well as rewarding. At my company we believe in delivering the WOW Experience, these guys take support to a whole new level.

Customer support managers are also welcome to share their experience on the job and advice on relevant certifications and training.

I hope to hear from you guys.

Keep quiet. There are thousands of people that ve acquired better skills than you do but no opportunity to showcase them.

Third class graduate saying trash. The system we run in Nigeria is poor hence it limit most undergraduate from getting the required skills. A system where an engineering undergraduate will go for IT and start carrying files instead of working in the workshop.

Companies are not ready to train and build graduate in their required skills of profession. They want already made. In abroad, when you are hired, you are trained. As far you can be trained, then you are employable.

Some Nigeria employers are myopic and forget their past so easily. 90% of them where taken for training before they ascend to that level but they want fresh graduate get it overnight. Nigerian graduate are good because most of them do well outside the shores of Nigeria.

You are barking up the wrong tree Mr. whoever you are. Seriously you do not want to argue what you have absolutely no idea about.

I made a factual statement based on experience and you're here ranting to justify your insecurities. Young man am not here to make you feel good about yourself or your situation, neither am I putting anyone down for not having a Job. All fingers are not equal and can never be.

I get the need to encourage yourself and feel good about the certificate you're waving about, but do not for one second believe that I give a hoot about your "victim" mentality.

Again back to my first post, since you obviously missed it due to your very myopic view of other people's opinion I did say "MOST". Whether you agree with my assertions or not is again not my problem.

When employers say that MOST Nigerian graduates are not employable, they are saying it as it is, irrespective of the cause. This is not an issue for debate. Nobody said they cannot be trained, heck even a dog can be trained, but as a graduate, employers expect you to have a certain level of knowledge and competence before considering you for an offer. Unfortunately either due to our poor educational or infrastructural system or due to whatever reasons under the sun, Nigerian schools fail to produce the human capital that can drive innovation.

Yes I was also of the opinion of companies hiring and training staff, until I saw the business side of things, companies are fighting for survival, just as graduates are fighting for survival. Everyone is a victim of the system, so sitting in one corner and sulking because I told you the bitter truth displays traits of Insecurity.

@Bolded

Well call it trash, but get this clearly, having a third class was the best thing that happened to me grin grin grin If you ever get the opportunity to meet me in person, you may understand why I said that.

My last advice, deal with your insecurities, you sound like an intelligent fellow but your objective reasoning abilities needs some honing.

Have a fulfilled day.

**** modified: Ehen! kaycodes I forgive you... lol. Thank you, you are welcome, don't mention.

Funny lady,

Sorry to spoil your mood and all other fellow Nigerian graduates.

To be frank nobody is downgrading Nigerian graduates, its the system we found ourselves. That not withstanding like I said on my first post, its a mean statement to make but sadly it's the truth. I am a Nigerian graduate as well from a state university for that matter.

However if you get the opportunity to sit on the other side of the table during interviews, you would understand why I said "I tend to agree" with the employers.

Sometimes I am too serious for my own good, maybe that's how I manage to motivate myself, all the same, the truth is always bitter.

I am still aiming higher, there is nothing like "almighty job"

Anyways thanks for forgiving me...
Wishing you all the best.

Romance / Re: Ladies What Do You Have To Offer In A Relationship by kaycodes: 5:36pm On Jan 10, 2016
Brown14:
Good day romancelanders, was just watching a movie when this thought struck me so I juust decided to share and get honest answers.

Here go...

If you ask an aveerage nigarian girl for example "what do you want in a man"? Or "what do you want from a relationship"? I bet about 90 percent would tell u this...

1,I want a man who will love me and cherish me no matter what

2,I want a man who will be able 2 care 4 me and meet ALL my needs

3,I want a man who will always b dere 4 me whenever I need him and so on n so forth...but now this has got me wondering n thus led to my question...

If a man can give you all these things then wat do u as a woman have to offer him

Abeg if I mk any grammaticl blunder ignore am so far u grab my point.#TL@RGE

What a WOMAN has to offer you depends on what you need.

Let's say a fresh graduate from school, without a source of lively hood and no dime to his name begins dating a lady. At that point what he needs is someone who can encourage him and be his fan at his lowest point. He needs her to believe in him and listen to all his frustrations etc. Sometimes she can help in networking with those she knows to widen his scope, because at that point that's what he needs. That's just one of many scenarios. This is with respect to an ideal situations which is far from what obtains today.

I believe in an ideal scenario, what an average lady needs from a man is the same that a man needs from a woman, besides point 2, which usually pisses me off angry

Instead of ladies seeking guys that will meet all their needs, thereby making themselves look hungry and parasitic, they should seek a man who is responsible.

Responsibility is what differentiates men from boys, and no man or even boy is responsible for any lady until she becomes his wife. So in a relationship a lady has nothing to offer except love and affection and encouragement.

@Op I hope you're not the type that expect money from ladies.. No offense.

I agree with you but I believe your last paragraph is erroneous, fallacious and full of assumptions. We are in a country where nothing works how do you expect the graduate to get exposed? The difference btwn a havard grad and a Nija grad is exposure? Is it the fault of the students? When we have companies operating with crude techniques and undergrads go there for SIWES to learn this crude methods and poor management techniques do you expect the students to go back to the class room and then become exposed over night? If a firm or an employer makes such comments I see them as hypocrites. Ericsson employed a guy from my Alma mater and today he co-ordinates and grooms new trainees all over the world. Guess what before he transferred to my Alma mater he attended a low rated polythetnic in Nigeria.......we are employable because we can be trained and that is what firms abroad do to their interns and fresh grads....stop being a hypocrite

Do you understand the meaning of the WORD Hypocrite,
In what way have I been a hypocrite or practised hypocrisy, when people like you use words out of context it makes assertions of employers hold true.

Again, I said MOST, which means a vast majority, it certainly doesn't mean all, again it means that statistically the graduates that are employment ready when they leave the school system are few.

Irrespective of what might have resulted in the deplorable state of our educational system that has brought about our inability to leave up to expectations, this does not change the FACT.

On your believe that I assumed, I have attended interviews, and also had the opportunity to interview others, I can say for a fact that MAJORITY of students acquired certificates without any form of learning whatsoever.

Now back to being hypocritical, I studied in Nigeria, and I didn't even have the opportunity to study in a federal university, I came from a very modest family, plus I graduated with a third class grin grin YET I work with an international software company with team mates from different parts of the world. I didn't get here by chance, I made myself employable in the face of everything that was against me, and God in his mercies saw my sincerity and opened the right doors to me.

Being employable goes beyond your grades it has alot to do with your knowledge and skill set within your chosen niche. Otherwise going by your assertions companies should start employing graduates and training them afresh just because the system is hadicapped.

So please KEEP QUIET and stop calling people names you have never met or have no idea who they are.

While looking for a job can be stressful, you've got to take time out and read the job description, it'll save you a whole lot of headache...

First rule is to always read and understand.

Anyway na Nigeria we dey, where everyone is looking for a job irrespective of the career path.

As funny as this thread is, it exposes the thinking faculty of the average Nigerian graduate, that's why I agree with companies that say most Nigerian graduates are not employable, its a mean statement but sadly it's the truth.

Family / Re: 'Career' Wife Or Full-time House Wife by kaycodes: 3:16am On Jan 09, 2016
Good topic, one should evaluate the scenario before making such a difficult decision.

Am at that point where am asking someone to give up her father's name to bear mine, whatever decisions I take now I have to put my potential family first.

I don't believe women should stay at home, to train kids, its both parents job. A man should be equally invested in the lives of his kids, that way both can share the burdens. Yes this is Nigeria, but we are all different and what works for A might backfire on B.

I have dreams goals and ambitions, but just because we have a kid doesn't mean wifey should stay at home and not pursue hers, for me it has little to do about the money but more about satisfaction. I want to see her happy, so if pursuing a career makes her happy then I'll support it. As long as we both realize that being parents is our topmost responsibility, because after all said and done our kids are an extension of us.

In conclusion, I believe the first decision rests with her, then we can consider other possibilities and make informed decisions.

NB: Not to put down anybody's opinion, the amount of degrees or certificates shouldn't be the reason why anyone should work, because that means if she hasn't gone to school then she can be a stay at home mum? Weird thinking

I believe that working from home has its gains.

For a techie like me, working from home has great advantages, since I get to work with a lot of smart peeps. I learn a lot on the job and I do what I love. Plus mine is structured.

However what I have learnt thus far is that you have to plan and stick to the plan. NO matter what. In my day to day tasks, I have learnt to start with a written plan, and then follow up. I have learnt to prioritize, and schedule properly.

Using my Google calendar helps me set time frames and reminders when I need to follow up with a customer and such.

If you don't organize your schedule you may burn out and suffer reduced performance.

I quite agree with your assertions on frustrations, but then it all depends on your personality. I keep very few friends, and I am free on weekends, no matter what I don't touch work on weekend except it's absolutely necessary. That's something I have learnt from my colleagues across the globe. If its not an emergency then let it be till the next business day, that's what my manager always tells me.

Again working from home is fantastic, but seriously it's not meant for everyone...
