Forget the app companies.
For me, it's my daily take home that matters.
Your cost of living should drive u. Wear and tear will still catch up with u even if u are doing fewer trips and making 20k daily.
So if the 30k is okay for u, then all fine and good. Alot of people work from 7am to 4pm make 20k prpfit and they head home.
But for me, I will not close at 30k when I know I can get 50k before the day is over.
I am prepared to get the wear and tear and cover the cost with my extra income rather than get the wear and tear eventually 6 months later and can't cover the cost because I was contented with meagre income due to fewer trips.

Now most people are just greedy, they want to work less and make more. They are angry the app companies are taking a commission. The bane of development is when u continuously keep ur eyes on another man's money instead of concentrating on your own. Anytime u want to strike a deal or negotiate an offer, concentrate on what comes to u, never think of what the other person is getting.
That's why I will always choose Bolt over Indrive, because even with the lesser commission, it can't give me as much earnings.
baba it be like say I go need personal couching from you oo 50k daily at the present situation of things.....abeg come tutor me.

Good one bro. If he had just said; "I'm sorry bro, pls bear with me".....I'll understand. He actually added some few cash after the trip, but his attitude already pissed me off
it's all those younglings with money that usually have that kind of attitude...... thinking money is everything

Did you just call me werey?

You're so petty...

how much is 7litre, 7litre is 7k o, and going to osapa, I turned it offline and the fare was 13400, and coming back which was late hour, I accepted 8400 from Cadogan estate to Allen, and I allegedly said 7litre of fuel was used from alagbole to osapa and coming back was when my light came on which means the whole 7litre didn't cover that to and fro.

But the to and fro gave me gross of 21800, how many times are we going to get 7litres from 22litres, that would be 3.1times, then let's assume I was even able to use 7litres to cover alagbole to osapa and osapa to Allen and which gives me 21800 in total.

How much will I get if I use 22litres for that same trip, I will get 68514. And mind you, the 7litre finished while on the way to Allen.

I would have resulted to insult you back for calling me werey but I won't be that petty, all I know is, it's not possible to gross 80k now with just 20k fuel.

I've engaged alot of drivers that are close to me on how it's possible to get that now and all of them said with 20k fuel, highest they get is 40k to 45k on the app and alot of drivers here are saying they don't see that with 20k fuel and how come yours is different, you know better than everyone?

the guy is not telling us the entire truth yet

I do get 10km/l with my Ford when road is totally free, just this yesterday night, bought 7litre at MRS alagbole to osapa London which was 50km distance on map, & my reserve light didn't come up not until I started coming back to ikeja then it came up when I got to Anthony, which means I have used roughly 7l for about 90km distance.

I once said it here that I bought 10k fuel when it was 585 at Maryland then went to laderin estate at abeouka and came back with about 16litres of fuel and I didn't finish the fuel, so getting 10km/l is achievable when you're not matching brake repeatedly but in most cases, it is rare to achieve that in Lagos cox of too many cars on the road and traffic lights and hold ups.
you are right sha about the fare prices because even at that 10km/l self the business is barely profitable now

It's true that someone in PH will get a better mpg compared to Lagos, my problem is when he said no 4 plugs car can average 10km/l, which is false.
guy you get leverage over us here Na you are driving manual if I should remember correctly and you dey pH where there is usually no traffic. People using this Suzuki will even get more. I think what he is talking about is people using the regular cars which are the 1.8l and automatic with is what we use to consider the best tools for this job. I do get above 10k/l on my Honda civic oo but Na when road free mostly Sunday or if I no use ac. Also another point where uber drivers miss it is in the type of engine oil they use.

Though I know there is a lot wrong with Nigeria, I know no Police can hold u ransom if they find exhibit with ur Rider.
I insist
Unless u tried some stunt before they finally stopped u, or u helped the rider to hide some things in some parts of your car.
If any of such happens to anybody here, feel free to call me, as far as u are online and u didn't do anything wrong.
I understand that I can fight my way out oo but if police want to be crooks they will because after picking you up nobody will know where you are and at that point you are at their mercy you won't even be able to phone anyone see just don't meet the very bad eggs among them oo

Either your guy is lying to you, or he was part of them.

Police is wicked, but they are not stupid.

The moment those two can confirm that you are just a driver, the police will let you go.

Heck, if you can prove that you were just a cab driver, you will be excused.
Broz forget oo this is Nigeria if Nigerian police is ready to deal with you den go deal with you....the reason majority of them is trying to free uber drivers in such cases is most of them dey roll with uber drivers steady so tey some uber drivers dey bring food for them. Sometimes they use to stop me and will be like I should tell them if my passenger dey carry or not that I should not worry they will do me well. So if Nigerian police is ready to rope you into anything it is very easy for them oo

The duration is estimated, it's not set in stone; you can pick a 1hr 22min trip and end up spending 30 minutes. There's an element of chance embedded in there and that's what those dudes picking such trips are using to make money.
eeeeh?! 1hr 22mins to 30mins keh
