My Birth Certificate: Ojo Elijah Oluwatobi
International Passport: Ojo Elijah Tobi

I had a similar issue as well, I had to get a cover letter from Waec stating that I (with the name on the waec and the name on my passport) am the same person. The letter had my passport photograph attached as well. And during my visa application I indicated the difference in my name and attached the cover letter. I’ve gotten my visa now

But there is no way to confirm if positive or otherwise.

There’s no way, you just have to wait until you get the passport. It’ll be positive

I paid for Express courier. How does that work?

They’ll dispatch it maybe tomorrow, depends on TLS.
at this point you have nothing to worry about, the decision has already been taken.

I have the same issue, my other documents have my first name and last but my waec has first, last and middle name. My school accepted it like that. I’m planning to apply for visa and it has been making me worried. My school rep. said I can apply like that but some other people are saying I should get an affidavit stating that I am the same person.
Mckayzee:
Hello Wiseones,

Kindly assist here.

The name on my WAEC certificate just has my Family name and my first name, but the name on my first degree certificate has my middle name included. Would I be needing to provide a sworn affidavit as an additional document when applying for the Visa.

Note: The school I applied to and that is about to give me CAS saw the disparity/inclusion and had no issues with it or ever raised any alarm... Should I just apply and provide the documents requested on the CAS or include a sworn affidavit ?

Your TB test will explicitly state that she's pregnant. You can also state in while filling your form in the section for additional information. you can also do a small letter explaining this fact and upload with other documents via the TLS portal.

Ensure your TB indicates she's pregnant. Also, note that it has no negative impact on ur visa outcome!!!!

Thanks for your response

Hello Everyone,
I read somewhere that some years back someone was denied entry to the UK and her visa revoked on the grounds that she didn’t state that she was pregnant during her visa application and that she most likely wasn’t a genuine student..

I am applying for tier 4 visa in like 4 weeks time and my wife is pregnant and I want her to come with me as I won’t have anyone to leave her with when I travel. Is there any place in my application or my wife’s application that I would have to state that my wife is pregnant?
I’m trying to make sure there won’t be any loopholes with our applications.
I am the primary applicant and she’s my dependant.
I basically just want to know if there’s a rule that says we must declare her pregnancy during application because I haven’t seen any slot during application for that.

Thank you for your response, yeah I’ve thought about it, if we go together and she has the baby there my mother will come and assist her. I would also speak to some other people as well.

1. For her alone.
2. Yes.
3. It will.

You didn't ask this, but you have presumably sorted out your childcare in the UK (family/friends), or have you considered how time-consuming it will be looking after a newborn and what effect that could have on your studies especially considering the due date coincides with the start of your studies?

Hello all,
Been following this thread for a while,
I have some questions to ask.

I plan on moving to the UK in September for my masters, shortly after my application began my wife got pregnant, initially I was planning to let her give birth here and then she could join me in December but she wants us to go together in July or August so that she can have her baby there in Sept. (ending of Sept).
My questions are the following;

1. If I want to add her as a dependant, considering that she’s pregnant and due in September would I need to put enough funds for her and the baby as proof of funds? Or for her alone.
2. Would it be okay to put the money for her proof of upkeep funds in her personal account and have mine in my own account? Asking this because I intend to use priority application for myself and standard for her.
3. For health insurance I want to also if the IHS fee I’ll pay for her will cover her delivery in the UK or if I would have to pay some delivery fees so that I can also work on setting aside the funds for that.

Looking forward to as much responses as possible.
Cheers
