Customs Recruitment: Four persons to be employed from each of 774 LGAs – Reps
The lawmakers say each local government area is entitled to four candidates in order to ensure fairness and equality.

The Chairman of the House Committee on Customs and Excise, Leke Abejide, has said four persons from each of the 774 local government areas would be recruited into the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) during the ongoing recruitment.

Mr Abejide, who disclosed this during a press briefing on Friday in Abuja, said Nigerians had been calling him on the exercise.

He said the exercise was a sequel to the existing vacancies in some cadres on NCS, adding that it was not a general recruitment.

The lawmaker said the NCS would not recruit beyond the given number.

“The last exercise conducted, I received a lot of threat from Nigerians and some of them were threatening to even take NCS to court,” he said.

According to him, each local government area is entitled to four candidates in order to ensure fairness and equality across local government areas.

Mr Abejide decried the level of pressure being mounted on members of the House to lobby for slots on their behalf, stressing that the amount of pressure necessitated the press briefing to correct some erroneous insinuations.

He urged Nigerians, especially those interested in applying for NCS jobs, to find out the cadres that exist in their LGAs.

He said the House was working on a bill to reform NCS, adding that it would repeal and re-enact the law to enable it recruit massively.

According to him, the NCS ought to have 30,000 personnel but that currently, it has about 15,000 personnel, adding that the number was grossly inadequate

“Once the bill is ready and if it becomes law, many of our youth will be recruited,” he said.

If you are intelligent enough, you should know what that means.

If you are chance hold a copy of it and keep it along when you made it to the customs.

The endurance test itself is covering 3km in 20/25 minutes.
Buh before then you have to do one or two things like signing the endurance form, and you will be briefed on how the exercise will go and other advice will also be passed on to you.
Note that the endurance test will be in two batches, those in the morning batch will go first then that of the afternoon will follow-up imediately.
Both batches most be at the clinic by 6.30am.
After the first batch is done with theirs., the will all wait for the 2nd batch to finish too and all meet at the parade ground.
Then you will all be match to the clinic to pick up your property and dispatch.
If there are pple with one or two omissions in their medical slip the will be called to rectify it. And you all go your ways.
Just relax, its not as tedious as you picture it to be.
Before 10am you will be all done.

Where have you seen any examining body leave the person who scored 80 and selecting the person who scored 40?? Unless if the process is no longer by merit...

The test is the criteria for the next stage (probably interview) where you would have to once again defend your scores either in front of a panel (or another test, but we nor want am sha..lol)...

You scored low, so chill and stop giving yourself and other people who scored low unnecessary hope...

Let them decide their criteria themselves...

Most people wrote theirs at Cafe with more thank 40 applicants in Some.They refused to write theirs by 10am and used their camera phones to snap questions while others were busy writing theirs.

They went and worked the answers in their comfortably places and wrote their tests hours later.

We all know that the questions are not hard to solve.What we,the first writers lacked was adequate time to solve them.

So, where is equity in candidates writing the same questions at different times? We are in computer age where one can use several techniques to send questions to others.

The last mail testmi sent to us emphatically stated that we should all write the test at 10am.
Why the extension of time?. Or is it a crime to obey their instructions?

The same people that leaked the answers were still the same people (like you guys) that did early because they did not know it and they needed help from people with the solving.

We need to lunch official petition about it.We wrote our tests as directed by their last mail at 10am on Saturday.Many wrote theirs many hours later,after seeing the questions and getting the answers.I learnt many others wrote today again and all the questions are the same.

This can only make us(the first writers) to be at disadvantage as our scores will be lower than theirs as they saw the questions and cheated.

We need equity and expects that if virtual test is not taking place at the same time,then the questions should not be the same!

I wonder why some employers will use survival fund money tagged covid 19 support as salary for there staffs.
This simply means you dont have conscience.
Let's assume there was no such scheme by the government, wont you have paid your staffs salary.
This same staffs has been working and generating money for you, beside it was there personal bvn that was used for this registration.
If government really want this to serve as salary, they would have save themselves the stress and quietly pay into the company's account.
We all know the challenges with this covid 19, the cost of every single item has increased but no increase in salary.
And now that govt has decided to support, employers want to eat the money.
Please if you know what is good for you, kindly give your staffs there entitlement, it is there sweat and right.
Even the bible said a labourer is entitled to his wages.
Note: na staff prayers they grow company.

I stand to be corrected though. I did the EH and I got a high score. This evening I got a mail from an oil construction company in Lagos which I did not apply for, asking me to submit more of my details. And it was exactly the same position I applied for as NCDMB.

NCDMB is an organization saddled with the mandate to increase local content in oil & gas sector. Labour is an important part of local content input. NLNG recently commissioned its train 7 with the capacity of employing 12,000 direct workers. A 5000 barrel per day modular refinery was commissioned in IMO recently. We may be seconded to the above mentioned organizations to improve local content. But be careful not to send your bank details as such request is too early now!

I'm tired of this mess. I've been using opera since yesterday and it has been responding well but to submit na wahala. When will all this mess stop for God sake.

This test should be cancelled and new date fixed for a test conducted by JAMB if the management of the recruiting organization is serious about ethical conducts and its' integrity. Over 97% of applicants have issues ranging from inability to login, access test, proceed tests, to inability to submit test. Many who logged in got time exhausted while trying to proceed to no avail.

This examination is indisputably the worst in the history of recruitment examinations in Nigeria.
