Hmm, I am proof you wrong bro, let no one lie to you ok. I got an offer from the daad website, thats why I am going through this thread for the past 2 weeks as guide to getting my visa. I am replying you to encourage every smart and focused nigerians who want to excel to go on and apply for their aspirations, once they meet the criteria surely they will get their chance (God Factor). Hello bro, I already sent you a mail. I have some really important question I want to ask. first is the Daad development scholarship you applied for? If yes, how did you go about the proof of 2 years working experience. what does it entail? and also did you submit a research exposé? ![undecided](https://www.nairaland.com/faces/undecided.png) |

I used to believe that crap until a guy got to my school last month from Nigeria through DAAD. To be honest, I think work experience is the main thing those guys check and I will like to encourage anyone that has quality work experience like Ministries or other places to apply (even using your company's letterhead), you might probably get it Please bro, I have 6 months and 3 months of internship as my work experience, which is like 9 months unlike the 2 years minimum they stated plus I'm sure I can get letter heads!! do you think I have a chance at it? |

Dude! Honestly you need to lower your expectations... Will you have time to study? assignment? etc etc Well, if you can cope, no problem. pheeww ![embarassed](https://www.nairaland.com/faces/embarassed.png) ..to be frank, that is sadly very true! plus who would want to study with that good opportunity and not make excellent grades? Williamso:
My disclaimer should have sorted this out. You can even break into the 4-figure monthly range. But make no mistake; once you break into the tax threshold, you will be taxed (brutally). yeah! sure more money more responsibilities more tax |

A half day is the equivalent of 0hrs to 4hrs of work a day, while a full day is 4hrs to 8hrs of work a day. You cannot work more than 8hrs a day as a foreign student, and 20hrs a week when school is in session (except you work in your school).
So if you work 3 full days in a week, how will you study? Don't forget the minimum wage (€8 per hour). So even if you work the maximum hours in a month (80hrs), with the minimum wage, that's still €640, a far cry from your "1000euro or a little more in a month".
Conclusion: You need to drastically reduce your lofty expectation(s).
Disclaimer: My use of the minimum wage here is just for exemplary purposes, and is by no means an indicator of what you (in particular) will earn. My bad! ![sad](https://www.nairaland.com/faces/sad.png) Quick one, can working weekends say only Saturday be added as a working day? if yes, then i guess a an Msc student, the academics there is quite different from ours and probably you could get 2 almost free from school work days in a week in accordance to the schedule so 3 days still stands. Lastly, you can get a job for 10-12euros and still make about 800euros in a month. |

adenjnr: I can't really say the level as i dont know what A2/B1 entails but i still de learner sha
I didn't say i left one job for another, i said i got a 2nd job (meaning i have 2 jobs). what you get at the end of the month depends on the hours you work in a month but averagely you should get 450euros. Sorry, by on the average do you mean weekly? cos from analysis, you are allowed 120 full days or 240 half days in a year. so say u do 3 full days in a week and 8a.m to 5p.m of work, approx. 9 hrs, you should still earn almost 1000euro or a little more in a month. plus there still might be other side stuffs u could do. i'm just saying.. Or what do you think? |
