Johnnyessence:of course, I later get to see them. But just that if I'm a corper coming to the site, or someone who is interested in such a subject matter, I may be pissed by the AdSense topic that is topping, or any other topic outside NySC. Maybe it's just me, but I really think a blog need to be central on a particular niche or two, but related industry. That's what makes a site seen as a serious site and more so a professional one. And need we be frank, not many people likes to patronise sites that carry little or no professionalism impression. Good luck |

Notime4drama:Hi bro. I wonder when exactly did you start facing this issue? I was starting to think it's only me, considering they have many clients from Nigeria internet community, and not many people have yet complained either. All my websites have been down since Friday though, and I think so should many others, if it's a general issue affecting their clients. |

Hello house I'm afraid, for the past 3 days, every sites I currently host with domainking haven't been opening (including the backend). Now I'm fearfully curious to know what's been happening...perhaps someone else is also facing this same issue. I already raised a support ticket, but unusually, they haven't replied since Friday, nor any of the website domain I hosted with them opening. Anyone else experiencing this? or is there someone with explanation of what's up. |

Politics / Lai Mohammed Believes "Change" Has Come To Nigeria by keenlyminded: 7:42am On Feb 03, 2017 |
During a chat session with the Sun Newspaper, Information minister, Lai Mohammed is firmly certain Nigeria is witnessing the change which the ruling party (APC) had promised Nigerians, during the course of 2015 election campaign. Although his party was not prepared for the level of rot they had met on ground when they came into power in 2015, according to him. “Let’s look at it, number one, we promised change and that change has come. There is change today from impunity to accountability and it means a lot. There is a change today from corruption to integrity, it means a lot. “There is a change today in the way people view corruption than the way they use to view it before. You will never live your flamboyant lifestyle again. In 2014 or thereabout when the former President went to Kenya, there were about 100 private jets that went with him.” “What we did not know was the level of dirt and rottenness, the level of dirt and corruption is what we did not get. We knew things were bad but we did not know things were these bad. We did not know before we came in that there was no savings at all, we did not know before we came in, the madness and scale of indiscipline and impunity. “ So if anybody says we are overwhelmed, yes we are overwhelmed but not by the work but by the level of rottenness and we want to clean this rottenness and this is what we have been doing. It doesn’t matter what vision you have but if you don’t have the money to execute, its as if you are doing nothing,” he said. Politics / We Will Resist Any Attempt To Increase Fuel Price -NUPENG by keenlyminded: 7:24am On Jan 31, 2017 |
The President of the National Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas workers, Mr. Igwe Achese, has said his union will resist any attempt to increase the PMS price, Punch reports. Igwe Achese, NUPENG President Igwe Achese, NUPENG President on a TV interview with Channels The union leader said this yesterday (Monday 30th Jan) during a TV interview, the FG is currently owing them billions of Naira which had upset the union' fuel importation stretch, whereas NNPC now imports more than 90 per cent of the product. Achese said, “That debt (the billions of naira owed the oil marketers by the Federal Government) shouldn’t be the basis for talking about increasing the prices of petroleum products. If marketers are owed by the government, I believe they have a right to demand for the debt and the government also has a responsibility to pay these marketers. “But my basic concern here is that must we continue to talk about increasing the price of fuel? The economic situation is biting in the sense that things are hard; economically we cannot move forward and yet somebody wants to wake up one morning and say the only option they want to apply is to talk about increasing fuel price, because you are being owed or because you want to make profits.” More: http://informant.ng/news/will-resist-attempt-increase-fuel-price-nupeng/31/ |
Politics / I Was Once A Taxi Driver -fayemi Tells UNILAG Graduates by keenlyminded: 7:01pm On Jan 23, 2017 |
Solid Minerals Development Minister, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, had claimed his early life wasn't as easy as he now looks, while charging on graduates to stop wailing on government and others for their life' challenges. The former Ekiti State Governor recounted these today during the 2016 convocation lecture of the University of Lagos (UNILAG) held at the J. F. Ade Ajayi Auditorium. He said neither government nor the citizens owe them anything, saying they must work hard to achieve success while guest-speaking for the lecture themed: “Building a successor-generation: Reflections on values and knowledge in nation building.” He said: “Quit whining – no one owes you anything. The earlier we realise that no one owes us anything, the better for us and the more prepared we would be to face life’s challenges. Don’t think you are entitled to a job, just because of your parents’ influence or what they have or your good grades. The only guarantee you have in this life is what you do for yourself with the grace God has bestowed on us all. “You have to be prepared to bend backwards and do what you might consider to be beneath you, because of the bigger picture. As a UNILAG graduate and a postgraduate student at the United Kingdom, I have also driven taxis and worked as a security guard, amongst several other menial jobs I did in the past to survive.” More: http://informant.ng/featured/taxi-driver-fayemi-tells-unilag-graduates/ |
Politics / Shut Up And Learn - Fayose Replies Kashamu by keenlyminded: 12:12pm On Jan 23, 2017 |
As expected, Ekiti State governor, Ayo Fayose has counterattacked Senator Prince Buruji Kashamu, over his recent comments which described Fayose as a “a loud mouth and immature politician” who is unfit to head the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Governors’ Forum. Kashamu in the long statement released earlier yesterday had made his own series of scathing remarks on the Friday’s election, which produced Fayose as the chairman of the party's governors’ forum. However during an interview with Channels TV on Sunday night, Fayose took his own chance to lash on the senator, whom he ask to lock up, respect and learn from his (Fayose) "enviable" position (being Governor). He said, “Sen. Kashamu is just a Senator, when he comes up and becomes a Governor, he will learn how to talk like a Governor”. Politics / Fayose Is A Loud Mouth And An Immature Politician -kashamu by keenlyminded: 7:09pm On Jan 22, 2017 |
Buruji Kashamu, the Ogun State prominent Prince and Senator, has ridiculed old friend turned foe, Ayodele Fayose, in a statement issued today. in which he categorically jeered the PDP's choice of Chairman in their Governors’ Forum. In his long scathing remarks, Buruji stated: “It was a misnormer that the governors of an opposition party that is in need of rebranding and repositioning could chose a liability, a loud mouth and an immature politician like Fayose as the Chairman of the PDP Governors’ Forum. “It is not that his emergence as the Chairman of the Forum means anything to me. But as a committed and loyal party man, it gives me great concern that instead of taking steps that will foster peace and unity, we are doing things that will widen the gap and cause more unity. “Those who chose him should have a rethink in the interest of the party that is striving hard to return to power. His brother-governor, Dr. Olusegun Mimiko, whose tenure he purportedly continued as Chairman of the PDP Governors’ Forum, is a cool-headed and balanced character. ” Even then, some of us pointed out that Governor Mimiko was slippery and sly, and a traitor who could not be relied upon. What happened at the end of the day? The party broke on his head when he overreached himself in the South West as the Chairman of the PDP Governors’ Forum at the behest of Governor Fayose. Instead of being a strong leader who would be fair to all, and do good to all manner of people, without fear or favour, he became more of a weather-beaten fowl, sullen and uninspiring. But, we thank God that we held our grounds and fought for our rights. “Fayose had always wanted to be the Chairman of the PDP Governors Forum. That was why he had some resentment towards Mimiko upon his emergence as the Chairman of the Forum in 2015. While I concede to our Governors the right to choose whoever they want to lead them, my point is that they should have settled for a balanced, more experienced and mature person to lead the Forum, not a cantankerous, divisive and unstable character like Governor Fayose who snaps at the slightest provocation. I know that the Forum boasts of Governors who are true leaders, not pretenders. Ayodele Fayose and Buruji Kashamu “There are those who are better educated, well-cultured and better exposed who are not working against the interest of their people and country. We have Governors who have held public offices since the return to democracy in 1999 but who are untainted. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) does not have any case against them. Those are the kind of people that could have been chosen to lead the Forum, not one with a goodwill deficit whose hands have been found in the public till.” Kashamu said the choice of Fayose as the Chairman of the PDP Governors’ Forum will further polarise the party and destroy it. Foreign Affairs / Atiku Denies Media Reports To Pit Him Against University Students by keenlyminded: 11:53am On Nov 19, 2016 |
Former vice President Atiku Abubukar has denied the much circulated report linking him with a demeaning comment on Nigeria University students. This he denied on both his Twitter page with that of his media office, following serial report which had trailed certain comments which he reportedly made during his birthday celebration organised by the management of AUN in Yola- an academy he founded in 2004. Popular media reports alleged Atiku had needlessly hyped his own academy students at the expense of the teeming Nigeria public university'. Several reports had quoted the former vice president as saying; “I was in the University of Zik in Akwa in Anambra State on Wednesday on the invitation of the university. There is no student in public universities that can speak English in an error-free manner like the head boy of my secondary, who just finished addressing us now. “When the head boy of AUN Academy, Abdullahi Sani, started speaking, I was thinking it is one of the lecturers in AUN, but only for him to introduce himself as the head boy of AUN Academy,” he stated. Meanwhile on twitter; A most unfortunate, misquoted statement, devoid of context. Anyone who has followed @atiku's speeches would know this is untrue. https:///C5zmbReDp1 — Atiku Media Office (@AtikuOrg) 19 November 2016 more tweets: http://olorisupergal.com/atiku-denies-the-media-side-of-him-on-nigeria-university-students/ |
