Many without the understanding of God's word falsely claim that Jesus is a prophet, thereby trying to nullify the essence why Jesus was sent into the world by God, which is to save the world from the power of sin. ( Mat 1:21, Jhn 3:16). They do not know that they are doing that to their own condemnation. Jesus during his ministry on earth clearified this when there was doubt about who he is just as we have now in our present time. According to the bible passage above, Vs27, Jesus asked his disciples, saying, " whom do men say that i the son of man am ?", the disciples sincerely replied him based on what the people say about him and said,some say John the baptist; but very clearly, John the baptist is the forerunner of Jesus sent to prepare the way and never the saviour even John the baptist himself decleared Jesus as the Saviour ( john 1:25-27). Some say he is Elias (Elijah) but Elijah decleared himself a prophet and never a Saviour (1king 18:22a), likewise Jeremiah, God decleared him a prophet not the saviour (Jeremiah 1:5). Still others claimed Jesus is a prophet. Jesus further asked his disciples what they( the disciples) call him since they are his followers and very different from others outside that have no relationship with him. Thank God for the truth of God's word in Simon Peter who answered and said, " Thou art the Christ ( Saviour), the son of the Living God".
Now to all the responces of the disciple, Jesus only commended the last reply of Peter; that Jesus is the Saviour.Vs 17 " Jesus said, blessed art thou, Simon Barjona(Peter) for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven." Above all, Mat 16:20 he charged them not to reveal to any man he is the Christ, untill the appointed time Mark 16:15-16, so that what has been writen from the begining might be fufilled. Mathew 16: 21. This is the understanding of God's word, you may call Jesus John the baptist or one of the prophets, it is normal because that is what your understanding ( flesh and blood) can comprehend but it doesnt implies the truth, those who believe in Jesus will recognize him as the Saviour because God has reveal him to them as it was revealed to Peter. Just as it is writen in 1Corinthians 1:23-24 But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumbling block, and unto the Greeks foolishness;
But unto them which are called ( those who believed in him), both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.
Listen to this, no matter what understanding you hold on to, the truth is that Jesus is the Christ, the Saviour and whosoever believe in him shall be saved. Friends do not be deceived, Jesus is the Saviour of the world, the way, the truth and the life no one come to the Father but by him (John 14:16). He is the one that died for the sins of man and rose again so that many might be saved Mark 10:45. If you want to be saved from your sins and eternal death which awaits all sinners, give your life to Jesus today and accept him as your personal Lord and Saviour because he is the Lord of lords and the only Saviour. Only believe in him. No man can save, no prophet can save only Jesus saves.

Jesus was sent by the most High God to the Whole word. Now you see from the above bible passages that it is ONLY JESUS that was sent by God to save the world from the power of sin and everlasting condemnation. Jesus confirmed this by himself in some bible passages:
in John 14:6, Jesus said I am the way, the truth and the life: NO MAN COME TO THE FATHER BUT BY ME. He said this with power and authority and not secretly. Jesus is the only way to God because he is the Only son and he is sent by God to the whole world not some set of people or race not even to a religion but to everyone that believe in Him.
The bible passage you quoted was carnally mis-intepreted, Mathew 10: 5-6 " These twelve JESUS SENT forth, and commanded them, saying, Go not into the way of the gentiles, and into any of the samaritans enter ye not: but go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel." This was a special assignment given by Jesus to his disciples while he was on earth and not him been sent. He was only given out a special task to his disciples and gave the restrictions to where they should go at that time. When he was glorified i.e resurrected he gave them power to fully go into all the world and preach the gospel to all nation. Act 1:8 " But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be WITNESSES unto me both in Jerusalem and in Judea and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth." Now u see him sending them to Samaria he initially commanded them not to go to. That assignment was for a special purpose. Mark 16:15 also says" And he said unto them go ye into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. "Jesus came for the whole world. If Jesus Christ has not come for all, i would not have known him and believed on him, i mean i would not have been saved because by natural descent he is an Israelite and i am a Nigerian -a gentile. Listen to this: Jesus is preached everywhere and in every tongue and many in the whole univers are believing on him irrespective of nationalty. I invite you to believe in Jesus because there is no salvation anywhere but in him and him alone. God bless you.

Praise God! By the Grace of God, i will send you a message. And to all reader of this post, i must tell you with all conviction that the only way to truely know God is by accepting Jesus as your personal Lord and saviour and never by reasoning, reasoning will only get you in a void where you are in total darkness and confused. But if you accept Jesus, u will receive the power and divine wisdom needed to know God and believe Him without wavering. Jesus make God clear to your heart. God bless our generation.

Not wen u dont have the capacity to understand the book: you dont give the thesis of a professor to primary school student to read he will never get anything out of it. Friend, i know what am talking about, u need to know Jesus, u need to have the Spirit of God before u can fully understand the bible, thats the criterion else u read it lik a literature book and your main goal will be logical consistency. Christian read the bible by faith in God while others read it for criticism. Christians continue to read the bible becrause they are getting results from it while the critics give up because they are not seeing what they wanted. Thats the difference.Brother if only you can humble yourself and accept Jesus, the power that is above all power then you will have what u truely needed which is the truth about the whole univers.
