A prominent group of election lawyers and computer scientists said presidential election results in three swing states that Donald Trump won may have been manipulated or hacked, and are pressing Hillary Clinton to seek a recount, according to a report.
The group held a conference call last week with Clinton's top campaign lieutenants and lobbied for a challenge after finding something fishy in Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania, according to New York Magazine.
Members of the group told the Clinton camp that in Wisconsin, Clinton's vote count was down 7% in counties that relied on electronic voting machines when compared with counties that used optical scanners and paper ballots, the magazine said.

LOS ANGELES — Lu Parker, a local television news anchor in Los Angeles and a former Miss USA, was arrested Wednesday at Los Angeles International Airport on suspicion of stealing a pair of earbud headphones belonging to an off-duty police detective, authorities said.
Parker, 48, was taken into custody at about 7 a.m. in connection with a theft at a Transportation Security Administration screening area in Terminal 6, according to a statement by Airport Police Officer Rob Pedregon.
She was booked at a police station on suspicion of petty theft and later released.
The headphones’ owner is an off-duty Los Angeles police robbery-homicide detective and she made the arrest as a private citizen, Pedregon said.
The KTLA-TV anchor, whose full name is Frances Louise Parker, took the earbuds at the security station and was arrested after boarding a plane.
“We believe this is a misunderstanding, Lu is cooperating fully with the authorities and we are confident she will be able to clear this all up,” KTLA said in a statement.
Parker was traveling to visit her ill father and was in the security line when she noticed that the earbuds had been left behind, according to the statement.
“She picked them up intending to return them to the owner whom she had been speaking with while in line to clear TSA,” KTLA said in a statement.
However, she couldn’t find the owner and boarded her flight, according to the station.
Parker is the 1994 winner of the Miss USA pageant and a one-time girlfriend of former Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa.

The African Development Bank has approved $600 million loan as the first tranche of a one-billion-dollar budget support to help finance Nigeria’s economic governance, diversification and competitiveness programme.
Fatima Abubakar, the spokesperson for the bank in Nigeria, said the executive directors of the bank approved the facility on Wednesday.
“The last tranche of 400 million dollars will be approved in 2017,” Abubakar said.
The operation is part of a two-year (2016-2017) fiscal programme support to enable Nigeria implement reforms to achieve efficiency in government business, combat corruption and promote diversification.
It will help the government to create fiscal space to facilitate smooth implementation of its budget, support fiscal and structural reforms and improve social sector spending to protect the most vulnerable segments of the population.
“The facility will also assist the country’s efforts to quickly build a buffer of foreign exchange reserves, which will contribute to easing pressure on the foreign exchange market and stabilising the naira,” she said.
Nigeria’s success in efforts to achieve macroeconomic stability and economic recovery will signal the end of the current recession.
An elongation of the recession has potential to severely affect the economies of neighbouring countries in West and Central Africa.
Abubakar quoted Akinwunmi Adesina, AfDB president, as saying: “We must think through innovative solutions to support our regional member countries in crisis situations like this.”
“We must also provide them with the knowledge products they require to get back on track.”
She said given Nigeria’s demonstrated commitment to significantly scale up infrastructure investments (30 per cent of the 2016 budget), the resources would contribute to creating the fiscal space for investments in power, housing and transport.

A survery of 2,000 Brits in relationships cited other ways to her heart include not being overly needy, surprising her every once in a while, seeing her as an equal in everything and even being happy to watch rubbish TV together.
Other factors considered to be important is enjoying the company of your other half more than that of your friends, never forgetting birthdays or anniversaries, having a good sense of humour and getting just as excited about holidays as she does.
Of the Brits who took part in the study, 94 per cent said they have a happy relationship overall.
More than half of women (57 per cent), however, complained they don't get everything they need from their relationship.
It would seem men are happier on the whole than women, with almost half (47 per cent) of men saying their relationship is perfect while under one in three (30 per cent) of women say the same.
Three quarters of men (75 per cent) would describe their partner as their best friend in comparison to 65 per cent of women.
When it comes to romance, a high percentage (73 per cent) of women say they would ideally like more in their lives - however a slightly higher percentage (75 per cent) of men said the same.
But a subject on which both sexes agree on is the importance of shared time and experiences - with 95 per cent of both sexes believing in the saying "the couple who plays together stays together."
And having one holiday a year together, just them - was important for most couples - with 88 per cent of women said if they won a dream trip across the world they would take their partner.
Relationship expert, Tracey Cox, commented on the research: "Often it's the littlest things that make a difference to your relationship.
"Small acts of affection or meaningful gestures count for a lot but it's also important to have time away from the everyday to rekindle the romance and enjoy quality time together."
Erin Johnson, UK & Ireland Marketing Director of Carnival Cruise Line, which carried out the research, added "We understand how important it is for couples to take a break from the daily grind and enjoy some quality time together."
A fifth (21 per cent) of those who have children also mentioned that they'd love to have a bit of alone time with their other half when on holiday, especially when more than a third (36 per cent) say their kids are the most topical point of conversation - feelings and money also accounted for 59 per cent of the conversation topics.

The Senate has rejected President Muhammadu Buhari’s request for authorisation to borrow about $30 billion.

The president, last Tuesday, forwarded a request to the National Assembly to approve external borrowing plan of $29.960 billion to execute key infrastructural projects across the country between 2016 and 2018.

He made the requests in two separate letters to the President of the Senate, Bukola Saraki, and Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara.

Mr. Buhari said the external loan, the biggest in Nigeria’s history, will fund targeted projects cutting across all sectors with special emphasis on infrastructure, agriculture, health, education, water supply, growth and employment generation.

Other sectors, he said, included poverty reduction through social safety net programmes and governance and financial management reforms, among others.

According to him, the cost of the projects and programmes under the borrowing (rolling) plan is $29.960 billion.

This is made up of proposed projects and programmes loan of $11.274 billion, special national infrastructure projects $10.686 billion, Euro bonds of $4.5 billion and Federal Government budget support of $3.5 billion.

The Majority Leader of the House, Femi Gbajabiamila, was quoted on Monday as saying that the House would approve the loan.

But The Senate considered the request on Tuesday and refused to give its approval.

President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday met with Niger Delta representatives as part of efforts toward finding lasting solutions to the crisis in the region.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that those attending the meeting are Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo, some governors, ministers and other political appointees from the Niger Delta region.
The affected governors are those from Akwa Ibom, Bayelsa, Delta, Imo and deputy governor of Rivers.
Others are Service Chiefs, Inspector-General of Police Idris Ibrahim and Director-General of the Department of State Services (DSS), Lawal Daura, as well as traditional rulers and representatives of militant groups.
Also attending are former governors, civil rights activists and community leaders from the Niger Delta region.
They include Victor Attah, Edwin Clark, Timi Alaibe, Diette Spiff, Ledum Mitee, Florence Ita-Giwa, Tony Uranta, Nkoyo Toyo, Ewa Henshaw, Seminatri Bozimo and Roland Owei.
The ministers attending the meeting are those of Interior, Justice, Transport, Budget and National Planning as well as Ministers of State for Health, Niger Delta Affairs.
The Chairmen, Senate and House of Representatives committees on Upstream, Downstream as well as Niger Delta are also in the meeting.
