Politics / Amotekun Recruitment: Oyo Govt Releases Names Successful Applicants by Keepuser: 5:06pm On Nov 01, 2020
The Oyo State government has published the list of successful applicants from the recent Amotekun recruitment exercise.

A statement made available by the State Commandant of the Amotekun Corps, Colonel Olayinka Olayanju, advised all candidates to check their names at their various local government headquarters or online through the Oyo State job portal.

The statement read in part, “Successful candidates are to report at the Emmanuel Alayande College of Education, Oyo on Tuesday, November 3, from 9:00 am for documentation, while the duration of training will be two weeks.

At about 6:45 p.m. on October 20, men in military uniform arrived at the Lekki Toll Gate in Lagos in three Toyota Hilux vans and almost immediately began shooting into a crowd of peaceful protesters gathered there waving the Nigerian green-and-white flag and reciting the national anthem.

Protesters and other witnesses at the toll gate claimed several people were injured and killed in the shooting.

A popular Disc Jockey, DJ Switch, who streamed the incident live on Instagram, claimed that the soldiers, after the shooting, took the dead away. She also claimed that a team of police officers arrived later to mop up after the soldiers.

US president, Donald Trump, has hailed the “courageous soldiers” who rescued an American hostage in Nigeria on Saturday.

Philip Walton, 27, was seized by armed bandits on Monday, October 26.

Walton was moved to a location in northern Nigeria where he was held.

Governor Nyesom Wike has taken a jab at the Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Adams Oshiomhole, a day after his meeting with Governor Godwin Obaseki who was recently disqualified by APC screening committee.

Oshimohole who commented on the disqualification of Obaseki who he's had a running battle with, said the national working committee (NWC) of the APC discovered contradictions in the governor’s National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) and higher school certificates.

Reacting to this in a tweet he shared on Monday June 15 after his meeting with Obaseki on Sunday June 14, Wike stated that Obaseki was disqualified by someone who doesn’t have a certificate. He further described it as an "irony".

A video making the rounds on social media has shown the moment some sex workers engaged in a serious fight over customers in Okeira, Ogba, Lagos.

According to reports, the fight ensued after they got into an argument over who came out first to stand on the street.

The furious sex workers tore themselves apart and ripped off their clothes while fighting over territory encroachment.

Eye witnesses obviously enjoyed the fight between the sex workers as they made no serious effort to stop the fight, rather they cheered them on. They even slammed those who came close to the area.

Romance / "Men Who Lie To Girls To Get Into Their Pants, Are Also Rapist" - Lady Says by Keepuser: 4:09pm On Jun 07, 2020
Nigerian lady has called out men who deceive girls just to have sex with them. She shared her own definition of rape, saying that men who lie to girls in other to get into the their pants are also rapist.

According to the lady, rape does not happen only when a girl is forcefully made to open her legs. She said men who lie to girls to get into their pants, use them and then dump them afterwards, are also rapists.

“If you lie to her, use her and then you dump her, then she ends up feeling stupid, she ends up getting depressed, and feeling so lost, that is rape too”,
she said.

Going further, she tagged men who are fond of lying to girls ‘bastards’ and warned them to stop molesting girls with their deceitful attitudes.
