Cotonou airport typically had one hour of internet access per day. So if you need more, say for example you need to contact people because something came up then you will have to buy and register a new SIM card and subscribe to a data plan, you will also need to find where to get their currency. (Mine was even worse cuz I didn't carry a physical ATM card, was doing online transaction all the way🤣 woke gen.)

The underlying truth is, if you still intend to travel via Cotonou and Turkish airline, make sure it's just one stopover in Istanbul only and call customer service before booking o. 🤞

1, Your wife as a dependent doesn't need to upload her NYSC Certificate or any Certificate to UKIV for visa application.
2, The POF can be in the MA account or dependent, I'll advise let it be in your wife's account.
3, Your wife will require to provide names change document to UKIV, Like court Affidavit and Newspaper publication. However, I will not advice her to change her name on her document or bank account yet.

This is how I did for me wife and our application was just transferred to VAC in the morning.
Did our biometric last week Friday 22 September 2023.

MA got his visa already and about to leave for the UK.
Now picture this:

Wife is planning to join by December but needs clarification on the following:

1. Wife has exemption letter from NYSC because of age. However, the age on her passport is different from the one she used in school. Must she upload the nysc exemption letter while submitting document for dependant visa?

2. Should the wife use her own nigerian bank account in her name for POF or it has to be in the husband's name? If she's going to use her husband's account, must his POF reflect also or it can just show the wife's maintenance?

3. Wife's passport and other documents still carries her father's name as surname because the wedding was done just a few months ago. Is it Mandatory to do a change of name? If not, what other supporting documents does she need?

I don't think changing her name on her NIN will affect her negatively hence she have document for change of name, perhaps the visa application have the husband's name on other names.

I did that to my wife also.

However, is better to be on a safer side..

If you are changing your name do so in all your officials documents especially Passport and NIN

If you aren’t doing all ,don’t do any

My advise would be to wait till you are renewing your passport then you can change both NIN and Passport
