Family / Re: What Are The Most Important Words Of Advice Given You By Your Parent? by kellyakogwu: 5:54pm On Sep 01, 2014
alexasomba: Before I left for the University my Mom said to me "always remember where you are coming from." sounded ordinary at first until it started influencing my decisions, till this very day based on those words I still think about family especially before making my long term decisions. It's almost as though she programmed my mind.

My Dad used parables a lot and one of them was "you can blame your parents for who you are but you cannot blame them for who you become" His own words rings like a bell in my head, telling me I'm to take responsibility for my own life.

They don't know how much their words impacted me though I'm (secretely) grateful.

Have you been given any good advice by your parent, grandparent, relative or anyone that mattered to you? Kindly share with us.

Romance / Re: When The Wrong One Loves You Right. by kellyakogwu: 8:17am On Aug 03, 2014
Liability: i heard people said this so many times but i still dont understand the meaning behind it.

I know i have loved someone that doesnt deserve me and i may have ignored some great guys who genuinely loved me.

How ironical. Sometimes we barely have control over our emotions, we easily fall in love without giving deep thought about the person we want to give our heart. But surprisingly we get disappointed, hurt, and heartbroken.

Life is cruel.

Guys and ladies, what can you say about this giving examples, possibly life experience to this issue.

maxism2: ladies, don't make d mistake of revealing every details of ur dirty past to ur fiancé to avoid " had I known".

Never tell ur fiancé how many abortions u had undergone in d past.

never tell ur fiancé that u had that little girl of about 7 years or so when u were in secondary school.

never tell a guy that any man that wanna marry u, ends up dying.

Politics / Re: Recent Teenage Suicide Bombers; Could They Be Chibok Girls? by kellyakogwu: 8:31pm On Jul 29, 2014
royaltheo: So I was thinking aloud, the recent wave of female teenage bombers in some parts of the north over the holiday period has got me wandering indeed. Is it possible that BH has brainwashed some of these abducted innocent girls successfully? The reported age range of these girls certainly jolts my curiosity (15 to 18 years). If this is substantiated, my heart bleeds from what our nation has degenerated into. How many more of these girls are being forcibly indoctrinated? And for how long will this situation persist? How will this end? Too many questions, yet very few answers.
This is the time for sober reflections, positive actions, national rebirth and a renewal of patriotism to our dear fatherland. I must say we all have roles to play, the government must rededicate itself to such a worthy cause to curb the situation.
Remember the words of Edmund Burke; all that is necessary for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing! God bless Nigeria
l'm jst confused abt dis country!l can't even bliv dis is a reality!
