The University of Kent is happy to announce Brussels School of International Studies Scholarship (PGT) for students starting in January.

The University of Kent is a public research university based in Kent, United Kingdom. It was founded in 1965 and is recognised as a plate glass university.

Scholarship Description:

Closing Date: November 1, 2018
Study Subject: Awarded to students at the Brussels School of International Studies, for any of the MA or LLM degrees.
Scholarship Award: The Brussels School of International Studies (BSIS) award approximately €130,000 worth of scholarships each year.

Following the apparent escalation of the feud between the executive and the legislative arm of government, the National Assembly held a joint closed-door session on Tuesday.

At the end of the sitting, the Senate President, Bukola Saraki, read out the 12 resolutions reached. The resolutions were also distributed on the Senate’s official Twitter handle.

1. The Security Agencies must be given marching orders to curtail the sustained killings of Nigerians across the country and protect life and properties of Nigerians

2. The systematic harassment and humiliation by the Executive of perceived political opponents, people with contrary opinions including Legislators and Judiciary by the police and other security agencies must stop.

3. There must be strict adherence to the Rule of Law and protection for all citizens by the President and his appointees

The leadership of the new Peoples Democratic Party, nPDP, the splinter group from Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, that coalesced with All Progressives Congress, APC,
to give victory to President Muhammadu Buhiari in 2015, has withdrawn from further talks with the Presidency on how to win the next general elections.
The group, led by Alhaji Abubakar Kawu Baraje, said in Abuja, yesterday, that they had since discovered that the Presidency was not sincere in its discussion with the group but was actively negotiating with them in bad faith.
Baraje in a statement made available to Vanguard, yesterday, pointed out that it was wrong for the Presidency to embark on series of provocative actions with key members of the nPDP while the negotiations were ongoing.

The gang leader of the Offa bank robbery, Ayoade Akinnibosun a.k.a AY, was interrogated by some journalists at the force headquarters yesterday June 3rd.
In an audio recording released by Dailytrust, the gang leader told journalists how he was allegedly contracted by the senate president while he was still governor of Kwara state.

According to Ayoade, himself and some others were employed as political thugs of Saraki. The gang leader said wherever they noticed Saraki wasn't leading in an election, they went in there to disrupt the place.

Asked if Saraki asked himself and others to go and rob the banks, the gang leader said ''No they did not send us but because we are their political thugs, that is what led us to the place'' he said

Zinedine Zidane has shocked the football world by resigning as Real Madrid coach just days after winning a third consecutive Champions League with the La Liga giants.

At a news conference scheduled at short notice on Thursday, the 45-year-old confirmed he would step down following Saturday's 3-1 victory over Liverpool in Kiev saw him become the first coach ever to lift the European Cup three years in a row.

Zidane said: "I have made the decision to not continue next year as manager of Real Madrid. This is a strange moment but a very important moment. And I had to do this for everyone. This team must continue winning and it needs a change that will be good for everyone.

Residents of Aba, the commercial city of Abia State have accused the Nigerian Army of killing a young man identified as Nnamdi over the Wednesday’s sit-at-home order.

It was alleged that residents of Chigbu Street, off Uratta junction by Port Harcourt road in Aba South local government area of Abia State had on Wednesday trooped out to mark the 30th anniversary of the defunct Biafra Republic but were resisted by some men of the Nigerian Army.

Argument ensued between the youths and some soldiers and the security men in the process fired shots into the air to scare the protesters away....
