Am surprised some applicants here are preparing for the test and interview as a criteria for gaining employment in any federal government related jobšŸ˜ŠšŸ˜ŠšŸ˜ŠšŸ˜Š.
Donā€™t be so pessimistic bro. Connection may or may not be involved in this NNPC recruitment I wonā€™t say coz I have no proof. But I do have proof that a lot of people still scale through with their performance alone. So instead of giving up from the get-go, why not give it your all and see what happens?

Good day everyone
Pls any update on operators position?
I believe theyā€™ve sent invites for the ā€œassociate operatorā€ roles, but for the ā€œoperatorā€ roles I havenā€™t heard anything.

Hey, entering the pool is independent of having POF, applying after you get ITA though depends on having POF.
Some applicants donā€™t even have POF in their account until they get ITA, then a family member gifts them whole/part of the moneyā€¦they merge a gift deed + evidence of transfer in addition to bank reference letter.
Itā€™s always best to enter pool as soon as eligible.
Thank you

Enter the pool immediately, when you get to the POF bridge you'll cross it, that is the least of your current worries.

Thank you

A couple comment for OP & intending applicants, POF is not one size fit all.

Some banks(GTB, Access Bank) wonā€™t include your current balance no matter what you say in the branch, hence the need for 6 months statement of account. IRCC requires the bank to state average balance for past 6 months in the reference letter.

Your salary also determines the amount of scrutiny the POF documents will get, Iā€™m fairly certain @Farawayman was not earning #100-150k per month(~#1,000,000perAnnum) and then submitted POF of +#20,000,000 and would have gotten PPR with just bank reference letter without an ADR explaining source of lump sum back when he applied.
e.g Miss B who works as a Senior Engineer with Chevron/Shell and earns millions of Naira monthly(some allowances are paid in $ self) may not need to explain source of funds but Mr A, a bank teller with UBA for 3 years will need to explain lump sums.
ƌrĆØ oooo

Thanks for this. So far Iā€™ve only been able to raise about half of the amount required, and it would take a while to come up with the rest. Should I enter the pool now or wait till Iā€™ve been able to raise everything? What do you recommend?

Farawayman:

I have a response that may be debatable to this one, but I am going to talk on my personal experience.

I didn't submit bank statement, so there was no way IRCC could have checked when the funds in my account entered(It is a lot of funds, both NGN and USD and each of them was more enough for my POF for my family size). What I did was apply to my bank(one of the international banks operating in Nigeria) and they gave me a one page letter showing my balances as at day of application, they stated the month and year I opened the account and stated that I had run the account satisfactorily since then. They didn't write any 6 months average balance or anything of such.

And I got PPR (2 times self, they sent and sent again... Lol). In my opinion the bank's reference letter trumps everything else and should suffice. POF is only submitted after ITA, but since there is a request for 6 months average balance, it may be proper to have had the funds for a while incase ADR is raised for full statement.

Thank you

Good day house. Iā€™m in need of some clarification. When exactly during the express entry process is the proof of funds required? I used to think they would request for it after ITA, but a friend just told me that it needs to be in my account for 3 months before ITA.
Iā€™m confused.
Nairaland / General / Nigeria Customs Recruitment 2022 by KenIchiban: 7:32am On Jun 06, 2022
Please help a brother in need. My sister from Delta State applied for this recruitment and saw her name among the shortlisted applicants. But it seems she hasnā€™t received any email or text message instructing her on how to proceed. And from what I can tell the exam is on the 15th of June 2022. Please does anyone have any helpful information on what next to do? Iā€™d be really grateful, thanks ļæ½ .

Please donā€™t air us if you have.
We want to know what we lack.
I don't know why, but part of me feels like they didn't continue with this particular recruitment, like they just abandoned it halfway for one reason or the other.

Another clown sighted. Haha
One of the reasons I love my country men, we laugh in the face of challenges.
My brother, if as an average man you want to remain sane in this country, you need to know how to laugh when things don't go your way. Otherwise you go just wake up mad one day

I heard about him then. He was some sets ahead of me in PTI, but I know some pple who knew him. It's a real shame that he died especially when he was about to become so successful. May he rest in peace.

Going through this thread just reminded me of my close friend who was supposed to travel out for the 2017 batch training but passed away a few days earlier due to leukaemia...all the PTI guys who are currently there would remember him...

Aaron may you continue to rest in peace!!!
