Politics / Explainer: You Can Actually Vote With All 10 Fingers On Election Day by kennyland1(m): 12:02pm On Feb 15, 2019 |
There has been some form of uncertainty over which of the fingers will legally capture your votes on February 16 and March 2, 2019. Your middle finger, your index finger, your ring finger, your knuckles or your thumb? We’ll be answering that question in a minute. But first, where did this confusion over which finger to vote with, emanate from? Okay, you guessed right: It came from WhatsApp. Fake news, people! One particular political party has been sensitizing voters on finger usage and how to vote properly. According to this political party, your vote will record on the void column if you use your thumb. The following broadcast message has been making the rounds on Facebook, WhatsApp, Twitter and Instagram: So, this is the message going round: INEC has changed pattern of voting without majority of citizens being aware o! You DON'T VOTE with YOUR THUMB ANYMORE ...YOU Vote wit Your INDEX FINGER ( Warning Finger). Any VOTE CAST WITH the THUMB is VOID (canceled) vote...! My question is Why were the citizens not sensitized up till Now..., Why would INEC hide such important information till few days to the election...? Pls, don't only read this.. SHARE for many would-be Voters to be aware. The DESTINY OF THIS NATION is Now in our Warning or Prophetic Finger Let’s break it to you nicely. The message above is fake news. It is also mischievous and the stuff of scare-mongering. Why all fingers matter You can actually vote with all ten fingers because when you registered for this election, all ten fingers were digitally captured. Which means any finger can be used for marking a ballot paper. Just endeavour to fingerprint correctly. All you need do is ensure that your fingerprint is inside the box beside your party of choice. Your vote is only void when your fingerprint strays into another box. If your fingerprint crosses the line, your vote will not count. In other words, the ballot paper is not finger sensitive so it can recognize all ten fingers printed within the margins separating one political party from another. Got it? Politics / Nigerian Chief Justice's Suspension Raises International Concerns by kennyland1(m): 6:28am On Jan 27, 2019 |
International observers have expressed concern about the suspension of Nigeria's chief justice - just three weeks before a general election. Judge Walter Onnoghen was suspended by President Muhammadu Buhari on Friday. He is facing charges for allegedly failing to declare his personal assets before taking office in 2017. But the EU, UK and US have taken serious issue with his removal, suggesting it could "cast a pall over the electoral process". Mr Buhari's decision has been called "an act of dictatorship" by his main challenger in next month's election, Atiku Abubakar.Opposition politicians have halted campaigning in protest at the president's decision to suspend the head of the Supreme Court. President Buhari, who is seeking a second term, has often accused the judiciary of frustrating his anti-corruption fight. However, no details have been given on the reasons behind the move. Why the international pressure? As the head of the judiciary, Nigeria's chief justice plays a vital role in settling election disputes. The charges against the top judge and his subsequent suspension just before elections are widely seen as politically motivated. The suspension came less than 24 hours before Mr Onnoghen was scheduled to swear in members of election tribunals. "The decision to suspend the chief justice has led to many Nigerians, including lawyers and civil society observer groups, to question whether due process was followed," said the EU Election Observation Mission (EU EOM) in a statement. The US embassy said it was "deeply concerned" at the decision to replace Judge Onnoghen "without the support of the legislative branch on the eve of national and state elections". The British High Commission also expressed "serious concern over the suspension", saying in a statement: "It risks affecting both domestic and international perceptions on the credibility of the forthcoming elections". https://www.bbc.com/news/world-africa-47015698 |

The APC, in a statement on Tuesday, said that during the sale of the forms, which would end on September 10, a presidential aspirant would pay N45m, as against N55m reportedly fixed by the party last week. With the sale of the forms closing on Monday, it means those seeking elective posts on the platform of the APC have six days to pay the fees. According to the party, each presidential aspirant will pay N5m for expression of interest form and N40m for the nomination form. Business / Start An Exporting Busines With Little Or No Capital by kennyland1(m): 7:32am On Jul 07, 2018 |
Do you like the idea of running your own business? How would you like a tax deductible trip to foreign places a couple of times a year? The advantages of an export business are great. Do you know that you can start and operate your own highly lucrative export business with little or no capital at your spare time and right from home? What a good way to build up a successful business from nothing and have fun doing it? The export business may be your answer. You don’t need previous experience in the field but you should have a “GOOD HEAD” for organizing. Not only does it require little or no financial investment, it also offers the prestige of working with clients from all over the world. This has been made possible due to the advancements in information and communication technology (ICT). Especially, the emergence of the INTERNET The internet has transformed the world into a “GLOBAL VILLAGE” such that a commercial ginger farmer in KADUNA, NIGERIA can access the contact details of an importer of ginger based in HAMBURG, GERMANY. Apart from accessing the foreign importers contact details, the farmer could still go ahead to call the product buyer with the aid of his GSM phone. The buyer and seller upon introduction and establishment of contact, could also go ahead to sign a sales contract for the export of a certain quantity of the product at an agreed price, convenient and secured method of payment without both parties seeing each other. I have a manual on how to start this Business with little or no capital and am willing to give it out for a token just to help the Nigeria youth. If u are interested call me on 09055466576 |
