Travel / Re: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 5 by kennyonitiri: 10:19am On Jan 29, 2021
Hello Everyone. Congratulations to those who who succeeded. Please assist me ooo. I intend to travel on a family visit with my husband, our daughter and my mom to visit my twin sister. My husband is the main applicant to sponsor all of us and he is a teacher. My husband received a mail yesterday and it states

REASONS FOR REFUSAL NRA v 1.0
You have applied for a visa to visit the UK.
In deciding whether you meet the requirements of Appendix V: of the Immigration Rules for
visitors (https://www.gov.uk/guidance/immigration-rules/immigration-rules-appendix-v-visitor-
rules), I have considered:
 your application and any additional relevant information you have provided with it
 your immigration history
The decision
Put your reasons for refusal here. Put Suitability reasons separately in the next section. See
suggested refusal wordings in Annex B of the Visit: refusal notice guidance on Horizon (GSI
users only; user name guest; password: guest)
I have refused your application for a visit visa because I am not satisfied that you meet the
requirements of paragraph(s) V 4.2 – 4.10 of Appendix V because:
 You state that you wish to visit the UK for 7 days to visit family. You are proposing to
travel with your spouse, child and mother-in-law. I acknowledge the importance of
family visits however having carefully considered and assessed the information you
have provided, I am not satisfied you meet the requirements set out in Appendix V of
the Immigration Rules.
 You further state that you are proposing to spend £500 towards your own visit, £350
towards your spouse’s visit, £150 towards your daughter’s visit and £250 towards
your mother-in-law’s visit to the UK.
 You state that you are employed at Ayis Academy and earn a monthly income of
309,791.36 NGN (£590.78 Oanda exchange rate £1=520.76 NGN, on 28/01/2021)
and that you have no other income or savings. Your state that your monthly
expenditure is 100,000 NGN (£190.70) and you intend to personally spend a total of
£1,250 on a 7-day trip, which is 6.5 times greater than your monthly expenditure. In
view of the above, I am not therefore satisfied that your circumstances are as stated
and that a visit to the UK for 7 days is comparable to your normal spending habits.
 As evidence of your financial position and ability to fund your visit you have submitted
a personal bank statement from FCMB, however the transaction history on the
account shows an opening balance of 4,080,454.79 NGN (£7,781.58) on 18/06/2020
and a closing balance of 4,658,724.67 NGN (£8,884.36) on 12/01/2021. Given your
income and stated expenditure on your application, I note that you have saved a net
income of 578,269.88 NGN (£1,102.78) over the period of 6 months. Your monthly
spending does not correspond with the expenditure you have stated and it is unclear
as to how the initial balance was accrued. Your overall account of your personal and
financial circumstances leads me to doubt you would leave the UK at the end of your
visit.
 In light of all of the above I am not satisfied as to your intentions in wishing to travel
to the United Kingdom or that you will leave the UK at the end of your visit.
Furthermore, I am not satisfied that you have sufficient funds available to cover your
costs whilst in the UK without working or accessing public funds. Your application for
a visit visa has been refused under paragraphs V4.2 (a) (c) and (e) of the Immigration Rules.

FOR MY MOM

REASONS FOR REFUSAL NRA v 1.0

 You state that you wish to visit the UK for 7 days to visit your daughter and are
proposing to travel with your other daughter and her family. I acknowledge the
importance of family visits however having carefully considered and assessed the
information you have provided, I am not satisfied you meet the requirements set out
in Appendix V of the Immigration Rules.
 You further state that your son-in-law would pay £250 towards your visit to the UK
however; I note that his application has been refused.
 You state that you are retired, receive an annual allowance of 300,000 NGN
(£572.11 Oanda exchange rate £1=520.76 NGN, on 28/01/2021) from family and are
personally proposing to spend £250 towards your visit to the UK. The information you
have provided does not detail your own financial position or show that you are able to
meet these costs. I am not satisfied that you have provided sufficient information of
your personal and financial circumstances in Nigeria to enable me to make a valued
and accurate assessment of your application. I am therefore not satisfied that the
circumstances of your proposed visit are as claimed or that they are as such that you
can be relied upon to meet the requirements of immigration rules as a visitor.

FOR MY DAUGHTER

REASONS FOR REFUSAL NRA v 1.0
You have applied for a visa to visit the UK.
In deciding whether you meet the requirements of Appendix V: of the Immigration Rules for
visitors (https://www.gov.uk/guidance/immigration-rules/immigration-rules-appendix-v-visitor-
rules), I have considered:

 your immigration history
The decision
Put your reasons for refusal here. Put Suitability reasons separately in the next section. See
suggested refusal wordings in Annex B of the Visit: refusal notice guidance on Horizon (GSI
users only; user name guest; password: guest)
I have refused your application for a visit visa because I am not satisfied that you meet the
requirements of paragraph(s) V4.2 and V5.1 appendix V because:
In considering your application, I am aware that The Home Office has a duty of care for child
welfare under Section 55 of the Borders Citizenship and Immigration Act. It is therefore
imperative I be fully satisfied with the reception and care arrangements in the United
Kingdom for you. I also need to be fully satisfied that your welfare needs are still met once
you arrive in the United Kingdom.
 You propose to visit the UK for 7 days to visit family. You propose to travel with your
parents. I note that their visa applications have been refused. As they are no longer
travelling to the United Kingdom and no other reason for your travel without them has
been put forward, I am not satisfied as to your intentions in wishing to travel to the
United Kingdom now. As a result I am not satisfied that you are genuinely seeking
entry to the United Kingdom as a child visitor, that you intend to leave at the end of
your proposed visit or that suitable arrangements are in place for your travel to,
reception and care in the United Kingdom. Your application for a visit visa has been
refused under paragraphs V4.2 (a) and (c) and V5.1.
 I have assessed your own ability to cover the cost of this trip. You stated that you
have no income of your own. I am therefore not satisfied that you have sufficient
funds to cover all reasonable costs in relation to your visit. Your application is
therefore refused under paragraph V4.2 (e).
