These govt.officials are wicked, callous and heartless. Considering the fact that they have their own folks also who are students and will be corpers one day. Law of karma is not a basterd I know for sure.

baby_123: Kidnapping grin. You are afraid of being kidnapped or robbed. Kokoro ton je efo, inu efo lowa!

You shouldn't go anywhere without telling your wife, cause if you go missing people will blame her. Your parents will understan sha because your safety is paramount to them.

Kidnapped? Lailai ... just taking precautions. wink

Yes, i would take it personal and it is a big deal not informing people close to you. Its very strange to me that you wou;dn't inform her. The only time my husband hasn't informed me about his travel plans, he was trying to surprise me for my party and we weren't even married. That is the only time I will excuse it.

I leave you to your opinion which mine stands also.. wink

somebody: Huh.....its only on nairaland that I read that people are scared of their wife, mother etc. It would be very strange to me if my husband does not tell me the day he is getting on a flight. When I travel, I tell my husband, siblings, parents and close friends...not a big deal.

Sure it's not a big deal bush it just have to be the policy you created for yourself overtime. Also,i never indicated that it's all d time i don't inform my spouse, just once i did it with a reason and she took it personal.

why should nlers tell you what is right or wrong about your actions?

are you committing crimes?

as per topic, you know your reasons for not telling your wife or mum of your movements. Your choice, your life.

nlers arent there with you to know what your situation is.

for others who are travelling and are concerned about safety issues or attacks from other elements, lift your situation up

Am not asking for opinions or advise from nairalanders ,rather am just sharing my experience which i wanna share others also. And moreover it's been my principles as far back i was in secondary school (NMS).

its not advisable to broadcast your travel plans, but if you're the type who cant keep things quiet, then pray abi wetin make person talk.

nobody can go before their time and nobody can stay past their time.

eo.

Am just sharing experience and i would love 2 share others also and moreover it's been my principles way back in secondary school (NMS), where i would just storm home during holidays and it developed with me thru my university days also.

Amelian: Op, stick to yur decisions... It's very risky telling whosoever be it wife, family or frnds, yur due date of arrival.. Due to excitement the news will indirectly get the wrong ears and u know what that means?.. One has to be careful of such things... Odikwa very risky!
If am the one, am saying nada.!..my spouse can do same if he wishes... It doesn't stop me loving or trusting him.

You re very correct. At least, even if i don't inform my wife , which i do occasionally,i still in av nowhere to go than my own apartment where she is both in my absence and presence.

I have been wondering if this has given anyone a thought of ones homecoming from trip , most especially abroad to your spousspouse, fiance, parents or siblings . I am a living example where my wife picks quarrels with me if i don't inform my mom dat am coming home from my base claiming they l term her a bad wife or if i don't tell her also, she claims she s not important to me any longer.

Please share your experiences and what you feel is not right about my actions.

Its pitiful and disheartening to loose loved ones as a result of bad governance and lack of provision and maintenance of social infrastructures as a result of negligence on the part of our government. May the souls of the departed souls be rested in the bossom of the LORD and God grant the families the fortitude to bear the saddening loss. cry cry cry

Oga Phemmy, its not just the marriage that matters, firstly the future av 2 be secured if not permanently but partially and this is the time 2 do that cos am still studying and if not that I engage in some part time businesses it would not av been easy and the woman involved have stated to me either directly or indirectly that the moment we get married, she would not condone or be happy that I won't still be with her to av been settled and the insinuation is that what's the point of the marriage when I'll stll not be on ground even though our child is with her parents but she lives in my apartment.

The fact is an assurance on the part of the man is invonlved and there is not going back on his commitment...marriage does not seal a marriage nowadays if u must know...And to tell u the fact, this is my true life story av just illustrated and it does not really mean that am so rich that s why i can afford it to come 2ice every year> what about the future involved after marriage? A whole lotta tins are involved in this marriage of i thing and better still i could just go with her to a registry to add a ring to the engagement ring and so what?

Fhemmmy:

Not good enough, if the man can afford to go to Nigeria 2ce a year, such man can afford the wedding and tie the knot, not only an engaged woman or man could reside abroad while the wife is somewhere else, a married man could do such too, so it is all about understanding and commitment.

What in the case that the woman has a child already for the man who is not in the country and the man gets an apartment for the woman. The man comes home every year at least twice and the woman have emphasized that if they are married that means the man is finally settled down in the country and anything short of that she s not ready for the marriage.

oxyG: This boy needs prayer and money. Not prayer alone. When you pray you also pay!

Really its a small thing for our govt to do, but i pray that nobody falls into this kinda circumstances where you will source for funds and you will be so surprised people will just hear, pray and walk away.. I am a victim of circumstance myself when my daughter was diagnosised of a heart problem.. We went everywhere-LASG, Media(AIT, newspaper coys etc), Kanu heart foundation- just name it and at the end of the day we got just a token that will not even cater for a major test that will determine whether she should carry on with the surgery or not which was close to 700k.... The rest is history today cos of funds.... I dont blame a lot of people that really wanna help but the fact that people wanna swindle most of the time will deter the aims of the funds being achieved... I pray the poor boy finds help in due course IJN..
