Good day Madam.. And thanks for the other time.

I'd like to know if its true that it's not advisable to apply for Germany study visa until after a year if one was previously rejected. That the prospects of another refusal is high.

I'd like to get an insight into this from experienced fellas.

Thanks.

Is your wife in Russia with you?

The area you’d need to tackle is home ties, if your family is in Russia as well then that might pose a challenge.

Another option is to come back to Nigeria and apply from here, if you can. The odds would be higher that way.

Good luck.

She is in Nigeria with my 2 kids. I am the the only one in Russia.

Thanks for your prompt response, GOD bless!

Good evening everyone and thanks for keeping it real. Its so encouraging to read through genuine Nigerians' willingness to assistance.

This is my case.. I'm an Msc graduate from a Russian University. I reside presently in Russia.

I'll like to know my chances for student visa approval as I finished my Msc in 2017, but I'll like to go study Msc also in Canada (I got my Bsc in 2015 same from Russia),my wife finished her Bsc in Nigeria (2009).

My issue now is that, what are my chances of visa approval based on my study gap and that of my wife's.

Are my ties to Nigeria sufficient enough as I'm gonna be the major sponsor, I've got a registered business since 2017, I've got sufficient fund for living expenses. Statement of account is good for my wife and myself.

I understand my statement of purpose has to be on point. But I'll really appreciate from the experts what my chances are and what loop holes need to be tied.

Thanks in anticipation of your responses.

I will be lying to you if I told you that you won't encounter racism or other form of discrimination in Russia.

But the truth is that it's mostly on the ground of ignorance, communication gap and disregard for the laws and culture of the land by migrants.

Racism mostly occur in environments where migrants and even indigenes arrogantly or ignorantly refuse to assimilate into the culture of the host.

Black Americans are largely discriminated against after years of being in the country because they've refused to collapse of their cultures into the American national lifestyle. Even White southerners are mostly being discriminated against for this same reason.

Most Asians have a terrible case of isolating themselves in their own home, how much more in a foreign country. Americans may tolerate these but a typical European who grew up with the teachings of jante's law will not take this attitude, hence the discrimination. I've been opportuned to live in the same environment with North Koreans, bro, you can play football, table tennis and do other things with them for 1year without them saying hello to you. That's an extreme case sha.

Most Africans have a terrible case of lying, cutting corners, being loud and trying to outsmart the system. And an European will not take this, hence the discrimination.

Europeans have their own issues, but we are talking about how they perceive migrants.

That being said, if you are honest and at the top of your game (as a student or worker), you will attract friends and will hardly be discriminated against.

Characteristics of a typical Russian guy is no different from that of President Putin. Stern looking, unfriendly and hardly apologetic. He attacks you first if your movement suggests you may attack him. I think there's a subject in primary school that teaches them these. But they are very kind, friendly and willing to help if their interest is not threatened. Communication/language solves this for the most part.

Their ladies have similar attitude. Very resilient, unapologetic, honest and unafraid. They apply these in everything they do. Even in relationships. That's why when a Russian lady decides to go out with you, be sure to get a great deal of loyalty and attention. They go all the way.
Aside from my mom and my Russian ex, I've never met any girl who was unnecessarily forgiving, kept my secrets and could go a whole ten yards for me. They make bonny and Clyde look unserious. That's why they make the most loyal spies to walk the earth.

Problem they are having with these migrants is that the migrants tend to abandon them for prettier and more financially stable girls. Worst so, the migrants leave unceremoniously after graduation.

Less I forget, both their young men and women can drink for the world in a galaxy competition. Funny thing is they hardly get drunk, especially their girls. That's why I always laugh so hard when I see British and american girls fall over and begin to do stupid things after taking half pint of light beer. Lol.

Like someone rightly advised, thread softly in the department of love because the beautiful and rich once may just be on their way. No even try Siberia. Cos na there you go know say supermodels like Kate Moss and Sofia no even fine as models.

All in all, have fun. Good and bad peoplepeople are abound in every corner of the earth.

Apt!

Feeding depends on how to you wanna come about it. Cook yourselves or eat out? Its always economical to cook. Foods also at the restaurants are not so cheap, it depends on city, the restaurants and location of the restaurant.

Its not cheap to shop here, Trust me.. But you will find everything on earth to shop. Moscow and St.Petersburg are some of the costliest cities to live in Europe.. Russia is an expensive country people dont know about.

Enjoy your stay when you visit.

I give you guys a lot of credit. I definitely won't wanna live in Moscow. Lots of racism in that part of the world. You think there's racism in America, wait until you go to Russia. And moreover, Russia is just too cold for me ... way too cold!

The average winter temperature in Moscow, Russia is -7°C (15°F). *Phew* That one got me shivering already grin
And make sure you're taking your daily Vitamin D tablets as well.

O pari

The racism is not rampant as speculated. I have lived in Russia for 8 years + and i can tell you confidently that i have never experienced any racial abuse. I am not saying its totally eradicated but trust me, its never as assumed by novice. I commune everyday on the street, at the airports, train stations etc. There are instances you talk to Russians on the street and they will never respond but its 1 outta 50. They have their challenges and minuses but then lotta them are kind hearted.

Yesterday was really fun, B took me to red square and we had lots of fun, exploring and visiting various museums around the square. Red square is one of the most iconic place Russia and thousands of visitors go to red square every day.
It was -9 degrees yesterday and at some point when I was taking pictures of the square,my hand got so cold and I wasn't able to click the shutter again.
For more than 3 minutes I could not feel my hands anymore and I literary felt like my hands were amputated.

Asides the freezing cold, yesterday was a really memorable and magical day, B is such a darling and we spent the whole evening holding hands and playing in the square. She doesn't speak English yet so communication is still a bit difficult for us cos some times I run out of words, my Russian is still basic but thank God for google and yandex translators.

I must admit I always feel a bit shy whenever we are walking in the streets together but she doesn't really mind and is always playing and holding me and I think I'm slowly getting used to not caring about all the eyes staring at us whenever we are taking a walk.

Bro, Next time make sure you protect your neck seriously. Cold get stored in the body and the repercussion is gross. Your neck, feet and waist should be the most protected. I am a private Ph.D student in St.petersburg.

I love your diary.

You are a very big liar. I have lived in St. Petersburg for 15 years and never experienced anything like this....there are few racists and incidents but nobody will stare at you in those countries since everywhere is filled with blacks and they even have more than 3 Nigerian restaurant and one of it is run by my wife. Is it by force to make it to the front page?
Even when I was living in Novosibirsk as the very few black person. I never experienced any form of racism and the occasional stares was out of curiosity not hate.
Unless maybe you are a remarkably ugly person or your attire was unbelievably ancient or weird which in that case you will get stares even in you hamlet

I studied in Moscow and must frankly say that your experience is not a common one, St Pburg is a tourist city where millions of foreigners visit yearly. My guess is that you were probably forming Americana, with your shoes, shirt, etc displaying American flag and Russians have natural disdain for US more than the colour of your skin.

If u ever wish to visit Russia again, contact me, I ll get my pals to give you the amazing Russian hospitality ....

I hope you were able to visit Petergof before the bad experience...

The story got me gazed. I have been living in St.petersburg for about 6 years and i tell you point blank that i have never experienced such. Not even with the police. I am not denying the fact that racism exist irrespective of region, but i can tell you point blank it has drastically reduced compared to this narration from our brother.

I am happy you stated that St.petersburg is a tourist city and according to UNESCO, Its the 10th most visited tiurist city in the world. You dont have to bother your friends to give him the hospitality treat.. I promise to do that on his next trip and I am ready to clear his doubt.

OP.. Are you its St.Petersburg, Russia you visited?

People are advising you that you can go to Italy and still study. Lemme ask you, On what status of visa do you wanna travel to Italy with?

You can't travel to Italy with a tourist Visa and later change the status to Study visa. Life in Italy is crazy. The truth is that there is no single job waiting for you. Even the foreigners there that now have permanent residence don't have any job. They live from hand to mouth. I have been there and I've seen it all. There are only few countries that can guarantee you a decent living. Not forgetting that it's gonna turn a nightmare for you if you become an illegal residence.

My daughter had similar illness which I solicited for help also through this medium buh was not able to get required fund. She's fine now and still kicking even though her specialist stated that she has surpassed the age for the surgery cos of lack of fund.

The fund became irrelevant when I have it. She celebrated her 5th year birthday on 16th of September this year..

It's splendid that people are now waking up from their slumbers. Imagine where human beings that toiled and labored to finish from school either by a their parents as sponsors or themselves as self- sponsors now offered crumbs as wages.

I have my wife work as a contract staff for the past 3years at Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria and she earns #20,000 from onset till date and they are more productive than the permanent staff as in they are thee main engine room.

I support the fellow that suggested the hashtag for modern day labour on twitter to go viral so that the new elected government can work on.

It's really frustrating as she tend to spend even more than her wage fee as transport.

Enough is enough!!!
