Cashmadam:
Yes, she can apply from Kenya. She won't need to redo the TB test.

Thank you for your response. I appreciate it.

Hi everyone, my sister just completed her undergrad in the UK and is set to graduate in July. She has been granted admission into a Master's programme at a uni in London. She has already paid her deposit and is waiting for her CAS to be issued (The university is yet to release her degree and transcripts).

Ideally, she would have preferred to apply for the new visa from within the UK but she has to attend a family function back home after graduation. Can she apply from her home (Kenya)? And will she have to do a TB test considering she has been in the UK all this time? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks

Hi everyone, I have 4 names on my passport. My first name, 2 middle names and my surname. I was recently granted a 2 year UK Visitor visa.

The ‘name’ bit on the vignette captures all 4 of my names and matches those on my passport. For purposes of illustration I shall use Johnson Doe Allison Marianne.

However, at the bottom on the Machine Readable Area, only <<Johnson<<Doe <<Allison<< appear.

In my 2 previous visas, the machine readable area had all 4 of my names but one of my middle names was incomplete. It appeared as <<Johnson<<Doe <<Allison <<Mari<<

On my Tier 4 visa BRP, the back read as <<Johnson<<Doe <<A <<M<<

I never had an issue when entering the UK.

Do you think I would have a hard time with immigration? And if so, how do I go about having the second middle name included?

Thank you

Two-Year Visitor Visa Approved!

Timeline:

Application: 1st Feb
Biometrics: 7th Feb
Collection email: 13th Feb
Passport received: 14th Feb

NOTE: I did not pay for priority. The lady attending to me at TLS had told me that I would get a decision within a week unless my application wasn't straightforward.

I applied to visit my bf for 4 weeks. This is my second visit visa although I studied in the UK between 2018-2019.

Thank you, as always to everyone who has been of assistance!

Hello everyone,

I paid £70 for a 'flexi' appointment for my biometrics at my local TLS Contact centre yesterday as there were no available dates for self-service appointments until April 2023 (which is when I intend to travel) but I am yet to receive a payment confirmation.

The date of my intended appointment is Monday next week. Can I show up at the centre with an email printout from my bank confirming the payment as well as a printout of a screenshot of my application page showing the appointment date?

Thank you.

Yes, outside of Nigeria. Was worried because my previous applications were processed in less than 15 WD.

Debbieeeeeee:

You applied outside Nigeria right ? The delay is with Nigeria VAC’s
Travel / Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by Kenyangirl1: 2:21pm On Oct 25, 2021
Received an email from TLS today (16 WD) informing me that my passport is ready for collection. I paid for the courier service so I have to wait for it to arrive. Hopefully it will come with my visa in it.

Kenyangirl1:

Today marks 15 WD since I submitted my biometrics. I paid for standard processing because priority was not available in my country of application at the time. I tracked my application and it reads that it is still at the DMC.

Has anyone who applied in September (Non-priority) received their passport back?

My intended travel date is 30th of October and I am a bit worried.

Oh wow! This doesn't give me much hope. Think I will give them a call on Monday. Thank you.

Bougie:
I did my biometric since 3rd September and still waiting...the wait can be annoying.

Is there anyone who has applied for a Standard Visitor Visa this month (September) and had their visa processed within 15 working days?

Tutu82:

Hello,3-6 months worth of bank statement is sufficient.
Phone/internet bills do not meet the requirement. However, you have water,Electric and council Tax which should suffice.
P60 is optional but if he has a copy add that as well since it comes straight from hrmc.
Best wishes.

Thank you for your response. I appreciate it. I had initially been advised that bank statements were not necessary as I am covering the cost of the trip myself. Better to err on the side of caution.

Hi everyone,

My bf (British citizen) would like to invite me over to the UK for a short visit now that we are finally off the red list (I am Kenyan).

We met while I was studying for my Master's in the UK back in 2019. He visited me twice last year after I came back home.

I am currently employed full time and will be funding the trip myself/responsible for my own finances. He will only be hosting/accomodating me at his flat for the duration of the trip.

So far, he has put together the following documentation:

1. Passport bio page
2. Letter from his employer
3. Tenancy Agreement
4. Water, electric, internet and council tax bills
5. Bank statements for the past 3 months
6. Pay slips for the past 3 months
7. Evidence of relationship (photos, chats, flight tickets etc)
8. Invitation letter

Are 3 months' worth of bank statements sufficient or would he require more or less?

Your advice will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Amount in the account or the total amount in all the accounts she is presenting
Travel / Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by Kenyangirl1: 9:19pm On Sep 17, 2021
I would also like some clarification regarding this. Is the 'other income or savings' the money that has been accumulating in one's current/salary account or money that is in a separate savings account? Any insights will be greatly appreciated.

Gentlesoul3268:
Good morning everyone ..

I'm filling Uk application form for my sister, there's a place they asked
Do you have another income or any savings?

She wanted to submit only her salary account with the balance of 3m

Does it mean any saving they are referring too is the total amount she has in her salary bank account she wanted to use to apply OR another saving from other account

Please advise Us on this any savings issue on application?
