Investment / I Can’t Celebrate Christmas As FCMB Refuses To Pay Me My Google Earnings by kexloaded: 4:37pm On Dec 26, 2020
I’m a Blogger and Google Publisher. I’m here to Report my Issue with FCMB Bank.

On The 21st of this Month (December 2020), A Payment was sent to me Google Ireland Limited just as they do every month Since this Year Started. The Payment was sent into my FCMB Bank- same Bank I’ve been using to receive all my Advert Payment From Google and Other Companies, but this time Around FCMB is refusing to Credit my Funds which was sent in Google and I want to use this medium to WARN People about Transacting with FCMB Bank (Mostly International Money Transactions).

My Story goes as thus:On The 21st of This Month Google Sent $2,685.38 USD to my FCMB Bank Account (The Same which they have been sending to every month and I’ve been getting credit – without issues).

22nd of December: I called FCMB Headquarters via this Phone Number: 012798800 and informed them about the incoming WIRE Transfer from Google Ireland; I mailed the Payment Receipt send to me Google to them (via: customerservice@fcmb.com) and FCMB Bank’s Customer Service Rep who Picked up my Call and Logged my Transaction responded to me as thus:

“I have Logged your Incoming Transaction, Be rest assured that FCMB will credit you once we confirm we have the corresponding Inflow…. Please, expect an update within the Next 24 Hours – You should receive it immediately we confirm we have the Funds in question”.

That has been the response they always give me whenever I call in to inform them about an incoming USD Inflow every month and I get my credit before the end of Working day on that day or early 23rd which is the next Day….. This time Around I didn’t get it even on 23rd December.23rd December:

On This day, I called back FCMB Headquarters and the Customer Care Representative that spoke with me confirmed the Inflow and made me understand that he can see the Inflow pending and FCMB Bank is in receipt of the Funds and the only thing remaining is to credit my account, I asked him “Why is this taking Long? Since FCMB is in receipt of my Fund, Credit my account because I need my Money!”,

The Customer Service Rep went ahead to let me know that “From what I can see here, This Current Inflow is bigger than what you usually get from Google in the Past Months, we are looking into it – why is it so?” I replied as thus: “It’s not a Fixed Payment, it might go up or even be lesser depending on so many factors, but the Payment for this Month is bigger”, The Customer Service Rep went ahead to end the conversation telling me this

“Please, I have done a follow up on this issue to confirm why You’ve not been credited this amount which I can see from my end. Please, give us 24 Hours; you should be credited on or even before the 24 hours elapses”. After everything, I was expecting my credit as he promised But I saw nothing and I didn’t get any Credit after 24 Hours.

24th December: On This Day I called FCMB Headquarters again to complain on why they have not credited me my Inflow despite conforming they are in receipt of my Inflow, the Customer service Rep that Picked up my call told me this “We are in receipt of the Fund but the appropriate team noted that Your Name was not written in Full the sender, Please inform REMITA to write your name in Full”

I was dumbfounded because that was not my first time of receiving payment from the same Company Google Ireland Limited, and IF it was a Wrong Account or mistaken transaction, They wouldn’t see the inflow, neither will the transaction bear my account number and I explained it to the rep to check my previous inflows from the same company and see that’s how all the inflows has been and I have always been credited without such issues, I made her to understand that I need my money credited fast because I need to use it for my Christmas Celebration.

I also made her know that it’s a Wire Transfer which has been coming in monthly like that and I’ve been getting my credit and I don’t have any transaction or history with Remita to start up a conversation with them… The Customer Rep informed me that I would be credited before the day runs out as she has done a Follow up on my Issue…. Uptill Today I have not received my Payment… I Was Home all day Yesterday being Christmas and uptill Now I’ve been and I’m Still feeling Bad because I have #0 With me and FCMB is holding my funds with Flimsy excuses.

That Made me Not To Celebrate my Christmas- FCMB BANK is WITHOLDING MY HARD EARNED MONEY.I decided to send a tweet to their Twitter Handle so as to make a further report in regards to the issue, and on getting to their Most Recent Post (as at 24th December 2020) I noticed a tweet another Blogger who complained about FCMB Holding his Payment which was sent to him Google Too (Screenshot Attached to this Post)…

There and then I noticed I was not alone on this and it looks like FCMB is trying to play a Fast one on Bloggers. I sent out a tweet to their Official handle but got no reply even till this moment.I have been getting my Credit into my FCMB Bank Account every month until this December and some FCMB Customer Reps have handled my Google Transactions in the Past and here are their Details for further confirmation:

Crime / Again, Many Passengers Kidnapped On Benin-ekpoma-auchi Expressway In Edo by kexloaded: 6:01pm On Dec 22, 2020
The alarming level of insecurity in Edo state on Tuesday saw the kidnapping of about 15 passengers onboard a bus belonging to a popular transport company in the state (name withheld).
Although details of the kidnapping are still sketchy, however, gathered it occurred along the Benin—Ekpoma—Auchi Expressway which has, in recent time, become a ‘safe haven’ for armed bandits. This is coming exactly a month after kidnappers hijacked a bus belonging to the same transport company on same road.
The 18 passengers were later released after the alleged payment of N9m ransom. The latest Tuesday victims were said to have been kidnapped from an Abuja-bound 18-seater Toyota Hiace bus. Other road users were said to have scampered for safety, abandoning their vehicles. An eyewitness and passenger of the bus, who craved anonymity, narrated how she managed to escape.
According to her, only the driver and three female passengers were spared. Another eyewitness, who claimed to be a student of the Ambrose Alli University (AAU), Ekpoma, said the development forced other vehicles to stop abruptly and park the roadside.Commenting on the incident, a regular user of the road and transport company, who took to his social media page, said he was forced to cancel his planned trip.
“I was already at the park when one elderly woman cried to the park that their vehicle was kidnapped that they set her free to come give them the information… I had to return the ticket and collect my money back,” he said. “Please for those that still have mind to travel to Benin or Ekpoma today be careful!.
”As at press time, the whereabouts of all the victims are unknown. Clips obtained Igbere TV shows the empty bus on the roadside with other road users discussing the event. When contacted, spokesman for the Edo state police command, SP Chidi Nwabuzor, said the police was yet to be briefed on the incident.
“We have not been briefed (yet), the command is not aware of such development, once I am briefed, I will let you know,” the police spokesman said on phone, Tuesday afternoon.Today’s incident comes three days after the State Head of Service, Mr. Anthony Okungbowa, got kidnapped in Edo town, with his driver and orderly killed. Okungbowa has since regained freedom.Kidnapping has been on the increase in Edo, especially following the recent EndSARS protests in the state where thousands of prison inmates escaped; burning down police stations and looting armouries.

“Last night I received a text that Dr. Matthias Nnadi, my med school teacher & a consultant neurosurgeon at UCTH, died of acute exacerbation of asthma. Instantly, tears welled up my eyes. But it’s the details of his death that were more shocking,” Atangwho said.“His wife sent an ambulance to pick him up in the thick dusty traffic where he was stuck. It took more than 3 hrs to arrive due to extremely bad roads & traffic around Odukpani area in Cross River.“The ambulance that came for Dr. Nnadi didn’t even have oxygen and the time he arrived the A&E he was already blue, lying lifeless on the stretcher!

Politics / NDDC Procured Rotten Food Items With N6.2bn –PDC by kexloaded: 6:05pm On Dec 19, 2020
The Chairman of the Niger Delta Development Commission COVID-19 Palliatives Distribution Committee, Chief Sobomabo Jackrich, has alleged that some underprivileged people in the Niger Delta region rejected the rotten food items distributed to them the sacked Interim Management Committee of the NDDC because they could be poisonous.

He also alleged that the sacked IMC team, led Prof Kemebradikumo Pondei, stage-managed the distribution of the food and medical items it claimed to have purchased with the N6.2bn approved for the indigent residents of the region, as palliatives the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd).Jackrich’s allegations were contained in a petition he and other members of his committee presented to the Senate Committee on Ethics, Privileges and Public Petitions, a copy of which was obtained our correspondent on Friday.

According to the document, the petitioner said he was officially inaugurated along with members of his committee on May 6 to oversee the distribution of palliatives in the nine Niger Delta states.

He added that his committee was made up of directors in the commission covering the nine states. The petitioner said, “The palliatives distribution was officially flagged off (sic) in Port Harcourt on May 21, 2020 with the mandate to commence distribution. Today, all of that can be regrettably described as a show of shame and a scam.

“The N6.25bn that was magnanimously approved Mr President to help the poor and indigents of the Niger Delta during the difficult period of the pandemic as palliatives has curiously been allegedly misappropriated and embezzled the IMC of the NDDC and their co-conspirators.“As the Chairman of the PDC, my findings are not only that the money cannot be accounted for, but there was nothing on the ground to show that that N6.2bn of our hard-earned taxpayers’ money was invested for its original purpose which the President approved.

“The materials and supplies, according to the statement, were to be done through Emergency Procurement method as provided in Sections 42(b) (c) and 43 of the Public Procurement Act, 2007 but the Procurement Act was not complied with, particularly Section 43 Subsection 3 and 4.”Jackrich alleged that though the palliatives were meant for the indigent and the poor, just a handful of food items, “though staged-managed,” were provided and distributed to an insignificant number of persons in the Niger Delta states under a “camera-party.

”According to him, some of the food items were politically shared among the “IMC choice areas,” including states of choice which aligned with them politically, allegedly to undermine the original essence of the palliatives approved with taxpayers’ monies.“As the chairman of the PDC, I cannot account for the palliatives as my committee was totally sidelined and the IMC hijacked the process because of their secret plots.

This happened just because I, as the chairman, demanded for accountability and transparency in the processes, as well as value for money with respect to the palliatives.“I was handed the template for the distribution of the palliatives wherein it was indicated that nine trucks of food items would be distributed to each of the nine states in the region.

However, the IMC hijacked the entire process. They called and handed me few bags of rice and beans just to induce me to play along with them, giving the false impression that the process was successful. “This appears to me as a cover-up plot (sic). Most of the food items that they claimed to have distributed were spoilt and unhealthy for human consumption.

Thus, only the IMC can tell where they got those poisonous and rotten food items from. The next thing we heard, surprisingly, was that the palliatives had been distributed,” the petition read.’’It added, “I managed to monitor from a distance the charade and show-off since my committee and I were sidelined the IMC in the distribution processes and (they) left us incommunicado. All needed logistics that my committee was supposed to work with were entirely denied us.

“I am aware that what was distributed under the guise of medical equipment were old goods and wares in the commission’s warehouses which were put on camera just to deceive the unsuspecting public and mislead the President. This too was staged.

Not a single kit or COVID-19 test centre was set up the commission in the nine Niger Delta states.“The Department of State Security Services, on Monday, August 24, 2020, invited me to meet with the state Director of the DSS in Rivers State. I honoured the invitation without fear on August 25, 2020.

“The invitation which came through a phone call from an operative from the Rivers State Command was said to be in connection with a petition from the NDDC, wherein the NDDC accused me, an appointee of the commission of using the letterhead of the NDDC to petition the National Assembly against the IMC of the NDDC.”The petition also said, “Whereas the DSS in their wisdom acting on the said petition the IMC had engaged professionally giving me fair hearing.

“Obviously, these moves the IMC was aimed at using state institutions and apparatuses to both circumvent and compromise the process over the petition which is yet pending before the National Assembly.“The IMC sought to intimidate me from further insistence on justice in the matter knowing that the issues I raised in the petition against them are incontrovertible and undeniable.”
