g4everybody: Nice writeup, but i dont see saraki steping down between now and 2019, as usual, apc and other clowns wil make noice, but cant unseat him
So APC knows he has skeleton in his cupboard and he was given the party senatorial ticket, and they brand it change. Nigerians wont have heard anything about Bukola saraki if only he succumb to party supremacy. So who is fooling who
Saraki was not given any senatorial ticket.... he is in charge of kwara..... |
Politics / Re: The Battle For Senate Presidency: PDP Has The Upper-hand by kheni28(m): 7:04am On Sep 24, 2015 |
TonyeBarcanista: The travails of Abubakar Bukola Saraki has opened a new chapter in the Senate and possible a vacuum in the office of the Senate President. We have to be honest with ourselves: Bukola Saraki has lost the moral ground to preside over the Senate Chambers. He has to step down voluntarily, and allow for someone without a moral burden to fill the vacuum. We are not unaware that the ruling APC is already scheming for replacement of Saraki. We also cannot feign ignorance to the fact that the APC is still bitter that senator Ike Ekweremadu of PDP emerged Deputy Senate President. They are plotting to oust him also and install their "choice". The PDP must wake up and take the battle to APC over full control of the Senate. PDP must seize full control of the red chambers.
The Reason APC and Buhari Want Saraki Down: Make no mistake, Nigerians of good conscience want the senate president to answer for the 13 charges against him, and some want him to step down from his exalted office on moral ground. However, APC and the Presidency want Saraki to go down so as to have their stooge as Senate President. They are not interested in fighting corruption. If they were, they wouldn't have brought Saraki into the Senate in the first place. If Buhari was interested in fighting corruption he wouldn't have withdrawn the N2.8 billion corruption charge against ex-Bayelsa state governor Timpre Sylva, and even gifted him with the party guber ticket for the December election. If Buhari is serious with corruption fight, he would be prosecuting Pa Abubabakar Audu on his ongoing corruption case instead of campaigning for him to return to Lokoja Government House in order to continue where he stopped in the alleged looting spree that went under him as governor between 1999 and 2003. Buhari and APC want Saraki to go down simply because they wanted total control of the Senate and also to share Senate standing committees from the comfort of Buhari's presidential lodge and Tinubu's bedroom in bourdillon road.
The Upper-hand Is With PDP: The Senate composes of 109 Senators. The PDP has 49, while the APC enjoys 60. Of the APC 60, about 12(including Saraki) are seen as rebels and has been ostracised by their party. The PDP must meet these pro-Saraki APC minority group to present a PDP candidate from NC as Saraki's successor(anybody but David Mark). The APC rebels should be rewarded with membership/chairmanship of choice standing committees. With 61 senators(49 PDP Se+ 12 APC) behind PDP candiate, the party stand as "Majority" to defeat whoever the gods of APC present as their candidate because APC will be left with 48 senators. A very wide majority. Considering that PDP need a minimum 55 senators for this battle, 61 will be more than required. This is enough to humble APC.
Saraki Must Make Up With PDP As for Bukola Saraki, he is unfortunate to be served the same meal he served former president Goodluck Jonathan and PDP. However, he has to repent and respond to his alleged offence. But, he should be told that the only way he can redeem his betrayals towards PDP is by supporting a PDP candidate to succeed him. This will also defeat the evil mechanism of Buhari and other APC gods.
Finally, the PDP must not let go of this rare opportunity to legitimately control the Senate and have the Umbrella standing in the office of the Senate President. Buhari will have no choice but to work with PDP-led Senate.
Let's teach APC how to play politics.
May God Bless Nigeria Power To The People Guy look for something better to do.. ur point is just SO LOPsidED... Partisan wailer# |

Sports / Re: Cristiano Ronaldo Disguised As A Homeless Man And Asked Girls For Their Numbers! by kheni28(m): 7:29am On Aug 09, 2015 |
irririchris: Real Madrid's top Striker and Portuguese player, Christiano Ronaldo, who most often is ranked as the best player in the world and rated by some in the sport as the greatest of all time, decided to take some time off the field and played a cool prank on the street of Madrid by disguising as a homeless man playing football.. He even asked some ladies for their phone which they bluntly refused.
Below is the hilarious prank video where Cristiano Ronaldo dresses up as a bum in Madrid and hits the streets with just a soccer ball and a video camera. At first people take very little interest in him; they walk by, seemingly annoyed that he is playing in the plaza. When he passes a ball or kicks it to them they just walk away or dodge it at first, but after a while a crowd starts to gather to watch. Ronaldo asks girls passing by for their numbers, but they refuse. Ronaldo asks other people to play with him, but most people are too busy with their day.
Finally a young boy comes up and plays with what he believes to be a homeless man, but when Ronaldo finally reveals himself to the boy and presents him with a signed soccer ball the crowd of spectators gasp and follow him throughout the streets, now extremely interested in what he is doing. This video just goes to prove that people will often not pay attention to something amazing right in front of their eyes if they do not believe the person is worth paying attention to. But don’t be fooled, this video is definitely worth your attention! Moral of the Story: The world only associate with success. Video can be watched on the link below.. http://parroteye..com/2015/08/cristiano-ronaldo-disguised-as-homeless.html Good one. newmannewman: BARCELONA, INIESTA AND UNICEF
At an event hosted by UNICEF and FC Barcelona, a group of students in Los Angeles, California, met with players Andrés Iniesta and Marc-André Ter Stegen to discuss the critical role that sports play in children’s lives and development around the world. FC Barcelona players Iniesta and Ter Stegen had the opportunity to share their thoughts and experiences with the students. When asked by a girl in the audience what the UNICEF logo on the FC Barcelona jersey means to the players, Iniesta responded: “For us as individuals, and as a club, it’s an honour to wear the jersey because of the values that UNICEF represents. Alongside UNICEF, we want to reinforce the importance of providing the most vulnerable children with access to education. Especially as parents, we are aware that children are the most precious things in our lives. It’s difficult knowing that there are children in other countries who don’t have the same opportunities.” Ter Stegen underscored the importance of studying to achieve one’s dreams: “I had a lot of coaches and each of them advised me how to reach my goals. But it’s not enough to have coaches or just play soccer. Education has been really important for me.” U.S. Fund for UNICEF Regional Managing Director Amber Hill said: “All children have the right to learn. The focus of the FC Barcelona and UNICEF partnership is creating a world inspired by the power of quality education, where sports and play are key elements in the development of all children.” “The UNICEF projects that we support are based on strengthening children’s education through the integration of play and sports in countries such as Brazil, Ghana, China and South Africa. Through these programs, more than 300,000 children are being reached,” said Albert Soler, Director of Professional Sports of FC Barcelona. UNICEF and FC Barcelona kicked off a partnership in 2006 to raise awareness and funds benefiting millions of children. FC Barcelona supports UNICEF programs that integrate sports and play into education as catalysts to unlock a child’s potential.

onatisi: my own grouse with buhari is this, he met a problem on ground and he knew about it,he and his party said they have the solutions all we are demanding is they START doing it . The problem is buhari doesn't seem to understand the precarious nature of the nation economic problems. He and his party are behaving as if things aren't bad and that they have all the time in the world . The bitter truth is oil prices will not be going up again for a very long time. With the way he is talking ,it is obvious he isn't thinking of initiating any serious economic policy this year ,maybe he is waiting next year budget . So even if cbn is making a mistake who will caution it. U talked about diversification , yes u are right. But will buhari and his cohort sit down to formulate policies on how to go about it All we want is for him to sit down and face this challenges ,we want him to start addressing the nation economic problems . We are tired of picture picture government .campaign is over . Bros u r just goin back and forth.. barely 2month canT U SEE... afta DIS GOVT. U CAN ACCESS HIM.. NO B ANODA PERSON USE 6YRS? |

NobleG1: 229 for 2.2 Billion naira?
Lets say their expenditure is as extravagant as below;
- The 229 people will sleep in the $10,000-a-night presidential suite each at the Waldorf-Astoria for 3 days = 2,290,000 - Their food (1500 for 3 day each)= $343,500 - A Boeing 737 business jet costs less than $100,000 for a full fuel tank. = $200,000 (to and fro) - pocket money, 1000 each= $229,000
The President will be housed and fed by U.S. government for the 3-day trip, so no accommodation or food expenses for him.
Total= $3,062,500 which 609,437,500 Naira (approx. 609.44 million Naira. In a normal situation the cost will be far less than 300 million Naira.
The 2.2 Billion naira allocated for this trip is pure looting. Buhari is no different from Jonathan. Where are D FACTS... UR SOURCE.. 2.2billion.. haba |
