Oga what most bloggers are doing does not make sense. How can you give us a juicy information and stop halfway for us to open your blog to continue reading? What of people that use java phones, how do you expect them to open different tabs at once.

I don't know if you all noticed the changes on Nairaland late last year.

The reason why American are better than us the Nigerians or blacks is that they inform us ahead what exactly is about to happen.

Nairaland is one of the biggest platform in the country and it as helped a lot little blogs to become great.

I noticed something new about the platform that I would need help from the moderators.

1. If you develop any news from Twitter or Facebook or Instagram the moderator removes the blog link and replaces with the social media platform.

The effort wasted by the little blog to develop the write up will be wasted , all credit won't be giving to the blog but the social media which is unfair.


2. Some contents now on the platform doesn't hit the front page again not because they are not good it is because the moderators can't find the source of the news.

3. The moderators aren't helping little blogs to grow again.

4. Nairaland as helped alot of little make name in the country, i see naira land as a social media now like facebook, Twitter, Snapchat where people can share their contents.

5. If you guys are going to make any changes on the platform, please just give us notice.

I just wish I can get a reply from Seun Lalasticlala OAM4J, Mynd44 or anybody.

Getafe have completed the loan signing of Nigerian international Oghenekaro Etebo from Stoke City, the club have confirmed.

Etebo has joined Los Azulones on a loan deal until the end of the current campaign, while the Madrid-based club will also have an option to sign him permanently.

Getafe boss Jose Bordalas had requested to club president Angel Torres to land a central midfielder after Markel Bergara announced to the club his desire to retire due to the multitude of injuries he has suffered.

24-year-old Etebo previously has played in La Liga - representing Las Palmas 14 times in the second half of the 2017/18 campaign, although he was unable to prevent their relegation at the time.

The midfielder had been on loan in the Canary Islands from Portuguese side Feirense, before subsequently joining Stoke in the summer of 2018 for €7.2m following representing Nigeria at the World Cup.

However, Etebo started just eight league games this campaign and Stoke - struggling in England’s second tier - needed to reduce their wage bill.

His Excellency Governor Emeka Ihedioha, CON, yesterday presented a Certificate of Occupancy for a land to the President of AfriExim bank, Professor Benedict Okey Oramah, during a courtesy visit to the Governor by the Management of the Bank at Goverment House, Owerri.

The Governor led the team to the 5 hectares of land along airport road, Ngor-Okpala, donated by the State Government for the construction of a 60 billion Naira state-of-the-art Testing/Certification and Quality Control Centre by the Bank, in Imo State.

In June 2019, few weeks after his swearing-in, Governor Emeka Ihedioha attended the 26th AfriExim bank Annual meeting in Moscow, Russia. The trip featured high-profile speakers and exciting meetings.

The African Export-Import (AfriExim) Bank was established in 1993 by African governments, African private and institutional investors, and non-African financial institution and private investors.

AfriExim bank has the purpose of financing, promoting and expanding intra-African and extra-African trade.

The bank has a total assets of $11.7 billion as of 2017.

The Testing/Certification and Quality Control Centre is one of only three of such centres proposed in the entire country. The facility when completed will service the South-East and South-South zones of Nigeria.

Minister of Works Babatunde Raji fashola and Chairman, Dangote Group, Aliko Dangote yesterday inspected ongoing reconstruction work on the Apapa, Oworonshoki and Ojota Expressway in Lagos.

The Expressway is one of 19 road projects concessioned to the private sector under Executive Order 007.

Apapa-Mile 2-Oshodi-Oworo Expressway is ~28km long, and will undergo full reconstruction.

This will be the 1st full reconstruction since road built in 1970s into a 10-lane Road: 5 on either side. Work started November 2018

Thursday, December 26, makes it exactly 674 days since Leah Sharibu along with other girls, precisely 110 of them, were abducted by terrorist group Boko Haram in Dapchi, Yobe State.

Although her mates have since regained freedom, Sharibu has however remained in the captive of these devil’s incarnates because she refused to renounce her Christian faith.


Now joining to lend a voice to prevail on the Nigerian government to advocate her release for hostage is former spokesman of All Progressives Congress, APC, Timi Frank.

Frank, taking a queue behind Reno Omokri, former Special Assistant to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, has joined to the crusade to advocate Sharibu’s release.

According to Frank, with the continued hostage of Leah Sharibu in hostage, Christmas should be a time of sober reflection for Nigeria.

“While we celebrate yuletide season, it is important for us to remember Leah Sharibu and others whom she represents who are currently held hostage by Boko Haram.

“Buhari’s government like any other around the world has a responsibility to guarantee the safety of citizens.

“What is expected of Buhari’s government is to negotiate Sharibu’s release, so she can reunite with her family,” Frank concludes.

Arsenal ready to table player-plus-cash deal to sign holding PL club midfielder.

Arsenal are set to offer Switzerland international Granit Xhaka plus £40 million in a bid to lure Leicester into selling midfield star Wilfred Ndidi, according to the latest reports.

Mikel Arteta is wasting no time in looking to sell the controversial Swiss star in one of his first acts as Arsenal chief.

A political activist and former Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Comrade Timi Frank has commended the senators of the United States of America and the America government for putting pressures on Nigerian government to the release of Omoyele Sowore and by extension, Ibrahim Dasuki.

Frank also thank all Nigerians, especially a human right lawyer, Femi Falana, who stood up to fight for justice even in the mist of treat to their lives, posterity will judge you favorably.

Frank said if not for the pressure by the USA government and some of its senators, Sowore would still be languishing in DSS detention without charge.

The political activist, however, declared that "truly the American government is the police of the world."

Reacting through a statement on Wednesday in Abuja, to the release of both Sowore and Dasuki, Frank asked General Buhari's government to apologise to the duo for trampling on their rights.

He also called on the USA, EU, UN and all lovers of democracy including Nigerians in diaspora to put more pressure on the Nigerian government to release other political prisoners, saying "General Buhari's government has succeeded in oppressing its citizens, no more freedom of speech and the right to assemble. Just a few days ago, General Buhari/APC thugs beat to Deji Adeyanju to stupor for protesting against the continued detention of Sowore, yet the ruling party had the nerve to accuse the opposition party of masterminding the attack, indeed this government is not only clueless but shameless.

"I appeal to the USA, EU and all democratic countries where rule of law applies to issue visa ban on the government officials of this clueless government whose stock in trade is to disobey court orders that don’t favor them, oppress Nigerians by depriving them of their fundamental human right to associate and express themselves freely, this government is very powerful when it comes to oppressing innocent Nigerians but very weak when it comes to fighting corruption and insurgency.

"No government has disgraced and embarrassed Nigeria before the international community like Buhari government, it took the USA senators to speak out before sowore was released while our Nigerian senators are busy rubber stamping all Buhari's request to the senate.

"I call on the USA government despite the blackmail to do more to ensure that other political detainees and journalists are freed.

"Sowore like Dasuki were granted bail by courts of competent jurisdiction but the tyrant General Buhari and the cabal decided to flaunt the order. Dasuki spent 4 years in DSS detention despite several bail granted by the courts while Sowore was rearrested a day after he was granted bail without charges.

"It is a shame that this government cannot put its house in order, they speak from both sides of the mouth as they are clueless.

"Just last week, the AGF Malami said he cannot order the DSS to release Sowore without recourse to the court, yet a week later, he ordered the same DSS to release Sowore.

"What has changed in a week to make the AGF order the DSS to release Sowore? It is the pressure from the international community, especially the American senators and the USA government that compelled this clueless government to release Sowore.

"A few days ago, Femi Adesina, the spokesperson of General Buhari said nobody appointed the USA the police of the world, yet a few days later, they have not only released Sowore but they also released Dasuki and the AGF suddenly remember that he can appeal their bail. The fear of the police of the world made you release Sowore," Frank stated.

The owner of Quilox Club and a member of the House of Representatives, Shina Peller has been released on bail.

Peller was on Monday, December 23, detained at Maroko Police Station in Lagos.

Lagos police’s spokesman, Bala Elkana, said he was detained and arrested for mobilising thugs to invade a police station after the vehicles of some of his club’s customers were towed for obstructing the free flow of traffic in the state.

He said, “The honourable is the owner of that club and his customers are fond of parking on the road and blocking the road. If you want to pass that place, you will have tough times. “Up till 9 am, the club was still on. They refused to remove their vehicles and Lagosians were seriously disturbed. Even Mr Governor was affected this morning. He had to manoeuvre his way through it. “This man had been talked to many times, but he refused to listen. This morning, our patrol vehicles towed three vehicles out of that place so that people could pass. “This honourable mobilised over 50 thugs to attack Maroko Police Station to move those vehicles out. We had to send reinforcement from neighbouring stations before they were able to curtail the situation. That was how he was arrested with five of the thugs, while others escaped. We had to exercise a lot of restraints.

However, the House of Reps member was released on bail after his case was transferred to the State’s Criminal Investigation Department, Yaba, following the directives of the Commissioner of Police Lagos State, CP Hakeem Odumosu.

The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has clarified the issue of payments of N50 charges by merchants who use Point of Sale (POS) machines for cashless transactions, insisting that nobody should pay extra on goods and services.

The CBN explained that the N50 stamp duty is a fee regulated by an act that directs merchants to pay all necessary taxes as regulated by government agencies.

Speaking on Channels Television’s Business Morning programme, the CBN Director of Payment System Management, Musa Jimoh, said the apex bank issued a circular and merchants have misinterpreted the directive.

“Stamp duty has been misinterpreted, our circular that talks about merchants paying stamp duties according to the law do not say that the stamp duty should be paid by the consumer; that is a misrepresentation of CBN directive. What our directive says is that merchants should pay all necessary tax as regulated by government agencies including stamp duty.

“What we told the merchants is that we would like the banks to ensure that the merchants comply with this directive by ensuring that every single payment that customers make to them, the merchants pay the regulated stamp duty of N50.

“What has happened is that they have actually transferred this fee blatantly and openly to the consumers; this is very wrong. No single individual should pay N50 in addition to the cost of the goods.

He stated that “Stamp duty is not to be paid by individuals that are consuming the goods and services of the merchants, the merchants who are receiving the money are the ones who are supposed to pay.”

Mr. Jimoh explained that because the stamp duty is not regulated by the CBN, there are no plans to stop stamp duties.

“Stamp duty is not a CBN regulated fee, it is a fee regulated by an act, and so we can’t change or push anything in that direction.

To this, the stamp duty remains and cannot be changed by the CBN, what we are doing is to ensure that the institutions we regulate (the banks) become more responsible to ensure that these fees are collected and given to the government.
