Greizman: This is what parents in the diaspora should make their children do. Do not forget your root. Let them learn the culture and tradition. In contrary.. Parents in nigeria are busy teaching their kids English language and making our traditional languages go into extinction. Some yoruba, igbo, hausa and othe tribes born and bred in Nigeria can't even speak the local dialect! It is so bad. Let the schools teach them English and you speak the local dialect to them when they are home. I often feel bad for some grandparents that can't communicate with their grandchildren because of barriers in language expression. We should learn to promote our culture.
superior1: I am a frequent traveler and already used to the harassments once I produce my green P. Let just say the dude only added sugar to a tea cup full with sweetner

Manzurah: Don't marry at the first meeting, they will think it's a fake marriage to get out of Nigeria. I married my husband after the third meet. We even travel to three different African countries together (these are the criterias that will determine the authenticity of your intentions). Total of six times my husband has come to Nigeria, Cotonou, Togo, Ghana to meet me. Am not saying you should do the same. Just make sure she comes to Nigeria at least two times and stay a minimum of one month each. You too should apply to visit her first (they will reject of course), but it will be in the record that your marriage is not fake that you guys are always trying to be together .
lecturer50: I am asking the question because i have come to realize that my happiness mostly comes from traveling.
I mean long distance journeys like from abuja to lagos, maiduguri to aba, kano to lagos etc
Traveling tends to give me 80% of my overall happiness
If i am anticipating a journey in (let's say) a week's time, all through the week before the actual day of the journey,i will be full of joy, happineess and love.
A day to the journey,i will be barely able to sleep at night due to joy.
While on the journey,i would be so happy.
I will be looking at the forests, trees, villages, towns, cities, rocks, mountains, rivers, valleys and plains etc.
I always prefer window seat in order to see things on the road
I will buy every local delicacy in every town on the road.
I discover that other passengers may not be as happy as i am.
Others may not even look outside the window but i will continually be looking outside the window in order to see things.
I would not sleep through out the journey due to joy.
Please has anyone experience this kind of joy while on a long distance journey?
Please what could be the reason for such joy?
I thought this applied to me alone but thank God am not alone, if I don't travel within 6 months I tend to be down and always frowning, but once I buy flight ticket the happiness comes automatically
Lookandlaugh: Hello brother,I would like to share my Kenya experience with you,I travelled to Kenya in February 2019,I did the the Kenya evisa online, which I travelled with from Nigeria to Kenya, and that was not my first time of going to kenya,I was there in August 2015,so back to my experience in February 2019,on getting to Kenya immigration officers desk, seeing my Nigerian passport and the evisa with me,I was sent to their Boss office, for secondary questioning which was just a means in which they use to seek for bribe from you,if you refuse to give a bribe (USD100),You will be deported. No story, pls take it from me. You have the option of applying for visa on arrival, which is USD50 official price, but dont expect kenya immigration to collect that amount from you,you will pay USD100 or more for it,because of corruption. After scaling kenya immigration hurdle, then you face the next hurdle, which is Kenya police at the airport, they are always waiting for you before you pick your luggage, they will pull you aside, start asking you some unnecessary questions, trying to profile you,but all what they want is a bribe, they will tell it to your face that if you don't give them bribe they will deport you, because they also have a right to deport foreigners too. They usually demand in between USD 50 to USD 200,even some of the police are undercovers, they will even show you their ID CARD. Prepare to pay bribe in Kenya airport, without these, you will be deported. Both Kenya immigration officers and their Policemen at JOMO KENYATTA INTERNNATIONAL AIRPORT NAIROBI, KENYA are soooooooooooooooo fantastically corruput, and they do it with impunity. This was my experience in February 2019
Omo brother this one loud ooo.... This is live scam In the highest order, I will heed to your advise but since I be heading via LAX - JOMO KENYATTA INTERNNATIONAL AIRPORT Nairobi to and fro I go try act smart first like say I no know anything since na first trip to Kenya BUT deep down I don package their national cake.
I have been to Kenya (twice now )and in as much as Nigeria get him own for body, *our boys* no spoil Kenya . Infact Nigeria is not among the top 3 countries spoiling Kenya, it's just pure corruption that's all. Kenya and Nigeria will be competing head to head when it comes to corruption, immigration will only deport you if you are not ready to bribe, of course we will always have bad egg just like the corruption in Kenya doesn't mean the whole Kenyan are bad, just fact. Let's stop with this generalization please for God sake. Even when I was there they almost deport an Asian woman because she's not ready to drop something until. She called the person invite her.
There is no reason for any country to deport you if you have your papers and abide by all. The immigration rules it's as simple as that. Even when Nigerian citizens went as far as robbing in Dubai doesn't mean Dubai immigration will start deporting citizens...
Secondly concerning Uganda in as much as Uganda is a poor country I can tell you for a fact that there is more to do in Uganda than Rwanda apart from visiting the genocide memorial there is nothing more worthy to do in Rwanda compare to Uganda where you have like 4-5 places to visit
Of course Uganda is a very very very poor country infact to find a good hotel is war, they are just too poor but there is much activities to do as a tourist. Also due to the presence of the UN in Uganda you will meet a lot of foreigners across the globe... French Americans Canadian etc
You will see them when going to River Niles along jinja and you can mingle with different cultures.. But jinja is far and stressful.
Lastly I will strongly advise the OP to visit Kenya last if he doesn't have any travel history and he should obtain all visa online separately .
I can assure you Rwanda and Uganda won't give you any issue Rwanda immigration is what all African immigration is suppose to be friendly, calm and no generalization what so ever. They are well educated when it comes to other countries.
Thanks for this information boss, you are on point, since am a USA LPR you suggest I choose Kenya first stop?
NONNYG: East Africa Tourist Visa is limited to three countries which are Kenya, Uganda and Rwanda. It cost 100usd, which you can get at the point of entry in any of the 3 countries. I will advise you to visit only Rwanda (kigali) and Kenya, forget Uganda cos nothing dey there. Just know that Kenya immigration can deny you entry for no reason (our boys don spoil our name finish there)
All the best
Na wah ooo, our boys everywhere just dey downgrade us but it is well sha.. Shey flexing dey for Uganda? my visit to this countries go be for relaxation and nothing else..
I no base 9ja make e no be say dem go send me back 15hours flight for no reason o....
Im looking forward touring the east African countries, ie (Kenya - Uganda - Kigali - Tanzania - Burundi) i do like to make my first stop KENYA, does Kenya issue the ITV to Nigeria passport on arrival?
