Its not spiritism that gives energy, its fellowship. Something atheism lacks in Africa. Everyone needs help, support, comfort. Christians judge non christians when they need help especially atheists. But soon atheists will come out en masse and "fellowship". But individually atheist are stronger, tougher and face life head on knowing that "c'est la vie".
