Jewessgratitud3: Lol, pay them no heed. Some of these food critics might be looking for 50 Naira to buy half wrap of sugar to perfect their afternoon lunch of Garri and Cold "pure* water. ![]() ![]() 3 Likes 1 Share |

Izuchukwu70: Are you being sarcastic, bruv ? The President of the ASSBIFI, Olusoji Oluwole, whilst being interviewed by ChannelsTV, said there would most likely be job losses as a result of the re-capitalisation. Thus, they had started preparing in advance for that eventuality, by consulting with Labour and CBN to ensure that workers who would be casualties of the re-capitalisation are compensated adequately. Or did you not read the article, only the headline? 1 Like |

lexy2014: He was there live ! He shape-shifted into a frog and hid under the swampy brushes of Okuoma to clandestinely observe the village meeting where "the elders and youth and the community head all agreed to kill not one or two soldiers". He thereafter reverted to human form to boldly report on Nairaland what he observed, several days after the fact. |

Bahamas95: Yes, they would port you from the 9Mobile network to their MTN network. You will still retain the phone number, but it would officially become an MTN line. |

Bahamas95: You should focus your energy on porting from 9Mobile to another network. It's what I did when their network was down for days, late last month. Immediately the 9Mobile network came back up, I rushed to the MTN office close to my house and ported to MTN. During the process of porting, the new network will register your NIN. Whilst I was there, I met scores of people who came to port from 9Mobile also. The MTN staff who attended to me said they get more than 20 people seeking to port everyday. Apparently, 9Mobile is a dying network and everyone appears to be leaving. You should do so before they crash finally. |

PoliteActivist: God bless you for your kind gesture, sis. As for the seborrhic fella, chances are he might be going through some mental stress issues himself, unbeknownst to him. Just that he hasn't cottoned on to the realisation or doesn't have the resources to seek intervention / counselling from professionals, like the Op wisely did. |

OLAADEGBU: Oh my ! Kayode Tijani is gone ? Much respect to the man. He was one of the icons of sports journalism in Nigeria. May his soul rest in peace. |

Lanshile: The head of the military junta, under the guise of bringing in a better democratic government, resigns from the army and contests to become president of the country. He will thereafter successfully rig himself into power, with the help of his erstwhile comrades in the army. Towards the end of his tenure, he would amend the constitution, enabling himself to elongate his rulership of the country. As a sit-tight president, he will steal the country blind and become far worse than the civilian government which he deposed. This is the lot of Africa. 4 Likes |

Calabar1stSon: In Ibadan, under the same IBEDC, #1000 worth of tokens would give you 13 Units. Thus, that your #5000 would give an Ibadan resident #65 units. So, it's obvious that the IBEDC bills their coverage areas/states differently. |

slawomir: I tire for Insurance during the Super 6 ! Such a disappointing and anti-climatic end of the season for them, after months of hard work. Imagine going 22 games unbeaten and coming unstuck when it mattered the most. Did you watch how one of their players missed a penalty by "playing the ball go throw in" during the FA Cup Semi Final against Warri Wolves ? That's where I gave up on the team's strikers. |

lexy2014: Yes, demotion is one of the punishments that is meted out to police officers who undergo orderly room trial for their infractions. They could also be dismissed, if their offence is more grievous, resulting in the injury or death of victim. Demotion is a very disgraceful and humiliating experience in any of the forces. It is the WORST form of punishment in the Police force. The different aspects attached to the penalty is so severe and long-lasting that the police officer would wish he was dismissed rather than demoted. |

Omihanifa: Bro, the first person whom BAT visited upon winning the Presidential election was Tony Elumelu. BOLA AHMED TINUBU, NIGERIA'S PRESIDENT-ELECT,PERSONALLY WENT TO TONY ELUMELU'S HOME ON HIS FIRST THANK-YOU VISIT. Let that sink in. Consequent upon the above, I think we can all agree that Elumelu was obviously one of main backers of Tinubu's victory. Think about how much physical cash he would've used his position, at UBA, to make available to BAT, in the middle of the debilitating cashless policy and Naira redesign, during the election period. Tony Elumelu backed the right horse and he will reap bountifully in the coming years, under a BAT presidency. He will influence government policy in his and his business' favour just as Dangote has done in the last several years. Keep an eye on Tony Elumelu, the man will be Nigeria's most powerful businessman. 1 Like |

MFORC: Lol. The guys were just running over the place like headless chickens, in their U-20 AFCON games. They play an all-muscle, battering ram style of play that I found rather appalling for a Nigerian team. In fact, one would mistake them for Cameroonians with their "unfootballer-like" body frames. To their credit, however, they qualified for the World Cup and might just spring surprises. |

Obaaderemi2: The husband and wife are both Lawyers. The wife used to work for a Reverend Father, as a house-help, when she was a young girl, long before she married. She was impregnated by the Reverend Father while she was working for him and gave birth to a boy. 19 years later, the lady ( now a lawyer ) is married and brings the boy ( her son ) to live with she and her husband. She told her husband that the boy is her junior brother. The husband would later discover that the boy is actually his wife's child whom she had for the Reverend Father. The husband, before he died, revealed to his friend ( another lawyer ) that his wife was also having a sexual relationship with her boss, who is also a lawyer. The husband was summoned to a meeting with the wife's family to discuss all the issues that they were having, but never returned. The report did not state how the wife killed the husband which she is being charged for. That's the most vital part of the story that is missing. 55 Likes 6 Shares |

cedricksly: I also don't understand Emami's obstinacy and sacrilegious opposition to the order of the King. His late father wasn't Ologbotsere, so he has no legitimate "first-son-as-the-heir-apparent" claim to the title. The nerve of the man is quite annoying. Imagine, he was even dropping the name of Bola Tinubu, for effect, in the interview, to sound off /remind people that he is close to the Presidency. I bet that's where he's going to draw strength from, going forward, as he pursues this sacrilegious rift with the King. 4 Likes |

LocalStandard1: Too late. INEC announced on Monday that there would be no elections in 240 polling units nationwide because there were no registered voters in those areas. You can google to see the list of the polling units. In Anambra state, five of them are in the Nnewi area. In this video, the speaker shows that these discovered PVCs bear the data of Nnewi voters. It means INEC were lying and had deliberately disenfranchised hundreds, if not thousands, of registered voters by throwing away their PVCs. After watching this video, my confidence in INEC's resolve to conduct free, fair and credible elections dropped considerably. 1 Like |

Villa12: The students did not collect " woto-woto". Soldiers only came to vandalise and destroy cars and property inside the campus at night. The video of Soldiers ganging up to flog a youth lying on the ground is an old video that circulated some two years ago or so. The truth is that when standing alone, the average Nigeria soldier is a yellow-bellied wussie. Their only strength is when they are in a group, and in their ability call for help from colleagues. Mano-a-mano, a brave civilian can square up to a Nigerian soldier anyday. There's nothing extraordinary about them. You can tell from the way that Soldier was acting when he was being beaten by the students yesterday. No single sense of how to guard/defend himself to fend off blows. You would expect better from a well-trained combatant. To my mind, this typifies a Nigerian Soldier: just like secret cult members; very weak when they are standing alone. 2 Likes |

Kelvin30286063: Dude, it seems you don't know much about Redmi and Xiaomi phones. One of their major USPs is security. They have a very robust security platform which makes locating stolen phones quite easy. I'm not sure that even Samsung can beat them in that regard. Apart from tracking, the Mi cloud/Account makes it quite easy for you to remotely manipulate and render your stolen Redmi phones useless, in the hands of a thief. 1 Like |

ComeToJesus: You can not get an import license for 225mg blister pack of Tramadol as such a high dosage legally doesn't / shouldn't exist. Also, no Doctor will prescribe such a high dose for a patient, that's why you can NEVER find it in any pharmacy. Anyone who commercially possesses huge volumes of 225mg of the drug must have illegally arranged with unscrupulous pharmaceutical companies abroad, typically in Asia( or even in Nigeria), to produce such a high dose, smuggled them into the country, not for the purpose of curing ailments, but to feed the habit of druggies and crack heads. 3 Likes |

A lot of activities were lined up for Nigeria’s 25th anniversary celebrations in 1985. Famous singer, Bongos Ikue, wrote the lyrics of a television jingle. It went: * = forgotten lyrics. "Nigeria is Twenty Five, the odds we did survive, Arise, Salute the Nation, Come join the Celebration, A People United will never fall, The Sun will shine and rain will fall.... ...On our land, vast and mighty; richly blessed by the Almighty... Like bees in the hive, we'll work so hard, to make the honey flow, But not without the use of the hoe ( HOE ! HOE !) Repeat: Arise, Salute the Nation, Come join the Celebration, Nigeria is Twenty Five!! |

bestman09: Tramadol is a highly controlled drug which can be procured ONLY on Doctors' prescription with the highest dose typically in 50mg. However, some people illegally produce and import Tramadol in Blister packs of 200mg and 225mg which you can NEVER find in a Pharmacy and which a Doctor can NEVER prescribe. Anyone who imports such a high dose, would be doing so illegally to feed an illicit drug market to sell to junkies and crackheads who are looking to get high, not for medical reasons. Such high doses of the drug is highly sought after by drug addicts and is a money spinner for illicit drug peddlers. 1 Like |
