Lolz . . . . grin your kid brother was just stubborn. Not rebellious.
My aunt was a rebellious kid. So she was transferred, as you said, to another family. She was just 14 or so at the time. Do you know what she did?

She saved up money and took transport from Lagos to Abeokuta. undecided of course, she got lost, when she was found, she categorically told them that she would continue to run away and if they don't want her to get kidnapped and killed, they should just leave her at home.

And that's a girl o . . . and even 14. Imagine what a seventeen year old hefty bad guy can do.
Are you going to beat that one or what

Dis one na real wah oooooo
It happens though, my elder cousin did dat @ tender age and remain rebellious till his late 30s before he got change from a girl which he later marry last year.
Maybe a kid's favrite could be used then.
Nairaland / General / Jonathan’s Centenary City Project Was Meant To Defraud Nigerians – PDP Chieftain by Klexy007(m): 8:25pm On Aug 14, 2015
National Vice Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, South-South, Dr. Cairo Ojuigbo, has again questioned the integrity of the Centenary City Project in Abuja initiated by former President, Goodluck Jonathan’s administration.

Ojuigbo, who spoke in Abuja through his lawyer, Kayode Ajulo, insisted that the integrity of the processes leading to the project was doubtful, even as he expressed the resolve to ensure that those behind the project, who acted unlawfully, were prosecuted.

The party chieftain, who is the chairman of the Nigeria Export Processing Authority, NEPZA, stated this in reaction to reports that former Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Anyim Pius Anyim has sued him for maintaining a similar position in media interviews.

Anyim, in the N1 billion libel suit filed by his lawyer, Mike Ozekhome (SAN), claimed that Ojuigbo’s position was a slander on his person and could scare foreign investors.

Meanwhile, Ojuigbo said he had instructed his lawyer to file a counter-suit once he received the court papers, adding that he had petitioned the Inspector General of Police (IGP) about the project.

Standing his ground, Ojuigbo insisted that the, “processes leading to the Centenary City, were elaborate and conceived to defraud the government and Nigerians”.

His lawyer said the PDP Vice Chairman “remains un-intimidated and resolute in his claims and submission that the Centenary City Project is indeed a project devised to trick the authorities into giving a huge chunk of land to only one man under the guise of a Public Private Partnership.

“Our client is resolute about his submissions and would leave no stone un-turned in his bid to bring the full detail of this scam to public scrutiny and ensure that perpetrators of this fraudulent exercise are prosecuted by the law enforcement authorities.

“Indeed, we have the authority of our client to initiate legal proceedings by way of sending petitions to the appropriate authorities as regards the issue.

“It is this that made so laughable and ridiculous, the reports that the counsel to the ex-SGF had initiated legal proceedings against us; we are, therefore, expectant and eager to receive the papers and have our day in court, even as we pursue justice and reparations for victimisation in appropriate quarters.

“We call on the Fourth Estate and the public to remain vigilant and keep these burning issues on the front burner, even as we are confident in the victory of justice and equity, over crime, corruption and dishonesty,” Ojuigbo said.

I hate rebellious teenagers. They regret it later in life. But still, they never admit that they are the ones behind their predicament. They still continue to blame everyone else. angry
They are often bitter and volatile.

Honestly, the best way is to start from when they are kids. Rebellious teenagers are impossible to control.

I disagree with you.....
Changing of location of any rebellious kid always help issue.
If you don't have the mind to chastise them, relocate the kid to any trusted and discipline family member. Let the kid know why you are doing so..
Change the school and make sure the kid is always indoor in the new home. I bet you the kid will be sober....
It worked on mmy kid brother.... If my kid brother can be sober and change for good, then I believe anyother can change for good....
Meanwhile, my kid broda has used to be badoo..... I mean Badoo.
Think of any Juvenile deliquency, he is badoo..
But I thank God for his Life today!!!

Education / 10 Confusing Sets Of Words To Watch Out For (AZUKA ONWUKA) by Klexy007(m): 4:04pm On Aug 04, 2015
Just admit it. Sometimes, you get confused over which of two similar words to use. Sometimes, you even use the wrong word while trying to feel important, only to discover months or years later that you messed yourself up. Imagine the embarrassment! Does it not remind you of attending an event without knowing that you were wearing your shirt inside out or that the fly of your trousers was open all along? You will begin to recall who saw you and what you did at the event, wishing you could turn back the clock.

Well, you are not alone: it happens to the best of us.

But there is a way out: Constant practice, researching and crosschecking.

Just banish all assumptions!

Having this list close by will help you a lot. You can print it out: keep one by your bedside and one by your office desk for constant reference.

Most importantly, I have created codes and mnemonics to make it easy to remember the right options.

severally vs several times
WRONG: I have warned you severally to mind your own business.

“Severally” does not mean “several times.” It means “separately” or “individually”. Example: The company’s directors are jointly and severally liable.

RIGHT: I have warned you several times/repeatedly to mind your own business.

Complement vs compliment
WRONG: Thanks for the complements.

RIGHT: Thanks for the compliments.

Note that complement and compliment are both verbs as well as nouns. They both have 10 letters, start with a “c” and end with a “t.” All their letters are the same except the “e” and “i” somewhere in the middle.

Complement means “to make complete”, or something that makes (another) complete. Examples: A wife complements a man. A wife is a complement to a man.

Compliment means a praise or to praise. Examples: Never get tired of complimenting your wife. Never get tired of giving your wife compliments.

Code: Complement and complete have the same meaning and also have two “e’s”.

Sometimes, some time and sometime
WRONG: There was a full eclipse of the sun sometimes in 1947.

RIGHT: There was a full eclipse of the sun some time in 1947.

Sometimes

Sometimes is written together as one word that ends with an “s”. It means “occasionally.” For example: Sometimes we laugh and sometimes we cry.

Some time

Some time, written as two words, refers to the amount of time involved, and usually implies a long period.

The “some” in some time functions as an adjective that qualifies “time.”

Example

He has been writing a book for some time.

Sometime

When written as one word, sometime is an adverb that implies a vague time in the future. It has a similar meaning as “someday.”

Example

Let’s meet sometime and discuss the project.

Emigrate vs immigrate (plus migrate)
To emigrate means to leave one’s country to live in another.

To immigrate is to come into another country to live permanently.

To migrate is to move, like birds in the winter.

If Majek Fashek leaves Nigeria to settle in Jamaica so as to be closer to Bob Marley, someone in Nigeria can say that Majek Fashek has emigrated to Jamaica, while someone in Jamaica would say that Majek Fashek has immigrated to Jamaica.

So to emigrate is to “go out,” while to immigrate is to “come in.”

Code: You can use the “e” in “exit” or “external” to remember “emigrate,” while the initial “i” in “immigrate” should remind you of “inside” or “internal.”

To migrate is to move, especially in large numbers, like birds and fish do seasonally. Human beings can also migrate for a season and return, or migrate to another part of the country for work or to be closer to their family.

Being vs been
WRONG: The government has being paying lip service to the welfare of the people. (from a newspaper)

RIGHT: The government has been paying lip service to the welfare of the people.

Being is the present continuous tense of the verb to be. Example: He is being investigated. Being cannot follow “has” or “have.”

Been is the past participle of the verb to be: Example: He has been promoted.

Code: Been is always used with the verb to have, which is its auxiliary verb. The auxiliary verb for being, on the other hand, is the verb to be (e.g., is, are, was).

Seeing vs seen
WRONG: Have you seeing my phone?

RIGHT: Have you seen my phone?

Seen is the past tense of the verb see: see, saw, seen.

Seeing is the present continuous tense of see. It is also a gerund (a verb which functions as a noun – It usually has an -ing ending): Seeing is believing.

Cite vs site
Note: The two words are pronounced alike (just like “sight” too), but their meanings are different. That means that they are homophones.

Cite: to quote, mention, praise, summon, etc. For example: The geographer cited five reasons to prove that the earth is spherical.

Site: to fix or build (something) in a particular place. Example: The governor sited the new stadium in his hometown.

As a noun, site means a particular place where something is happening or has happened, or a piece of ground for building on. Example: The university has moved to its permanent site.

Sight: As a verb, it means to catch a glimpse of. Example: Muslims have sighted the new moon, which signals the beginning of Ramadan.

As a noun, it is derived from the verb to “see.” For example: At 80, his sight is still good.

Code: To site means to situate.

Dupe vs fraudster
WRONG: The notorious dupe has finally been arrested.

What a life! When trouble visits a person, it brings along its kith and kin. Why should a person who has been duped be called “notorious” and arrested?

A dupe is a person who has been deceived or tricked, and not the perpetrator of such deceit.

RIGHT: The notorious fraudster (duper) has finally been arrested.

Mediocre vs mediocrity
WRONG: This company stands for excellence. Mediocres are not tolerated.

Mediocre is an adjective and cannot be a person. Mediocrity is (A) the state or quality of not being very good, (B) a person who does not show very good qualities or abilities.

RIGHT: This company stands for excellence. Mediocrities are not tolerated.

He who wants to be a leader must rise above mediocrity.

A mediocre writer cannot make it to the top.

Taxing vs tasking
Wrong: Writing may look simple but it is really tasking.

“Task” can be a noun (a piece of work one does as a duty or a difficult undertaking) or a verb (to assign a job to someone, or to make great demands on someone’s resources or abilities). But it is not an adjective.

So you can have expressions like:

Noun – Your new task is to man the organisation’s website.

Verb – You are tasked with the new role of manning the organisation’s website.

Verb (present continuous) – Before tasking me with the new role, why not give me some training?

On the other hand, to tax is to impose a tax on someone or make heavy demands on (someone’s powers or resources).

Right: Writing may look simple but it is really taxing.

In this case, “taxing” is an adjective qualifying “writing”. It means: physically or mentally demanding.

The only reason Saraki won Election was because he went to APC, the day he decamped APC, many were not happy because we kwarans believe he came for shield due to the fact that his popularity in the state was dying and APC was gaining momentum. What befell Aliyu Babangida in Niger state and Lamido In Jigawa would have befell him if last election if he had remained in PDP and he knows that. Majority of Kwarans dislike me because d state governor is a puppet to him. He is still the one governing Kwara state calling all the shot even as Senate President. It's only the obas and Alfas that have sold their conscience for money are making it look as if he is still popular are still hyping him. Saraki is the worst thin that has happened to my beloved state. You saraki supporters come to Ilorin, Offa, Omu-aran, Ajase-Ipo If you won't curse him and the state governor. You guys should forget, Tinubu is better. I have been opportuned to travel many SS, SE,SW,SW,NC, the only place you won't see changes is kwara except some part of SE like Abia. I was happy he was Senate President because he is from Kwara State, but no happy again because he is damn too corrupt and disdain the process that brought him as SP.
When you talk of God fatherism, he is worse than Tinubu. Tinubu is a thief too but a better leader though.

Politics / Why We Fought On The Floor Of The House Of Reps Today - Zangon Daura by Klexy007(m): 2:25pm On Jun 25, 2015
Why We Fought On The Floor Of The House Of Reps Today - Zangon Daura

Gentlemen of the Press: I am Representative Nasiru Sani Zangon Daura  of the All Progressive Congress (APC) representing Zango/Baure Federal Constituency of Katsina State.

We are here on behalf of our colleagues of the APC House Caucus to explain to you the unfortunate occurrence during today’s plenary session.

The action that occurred inside the chamber of the House of Representatives was in reaction to the illegal and unconstitutional action taken by Speaker Yakubu Dogara of the House of Representatives, an action in his usual tradition of total disregard to the wishes of the majority members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Caucus, the Party itself and the spirit of the Party.

We are aware of a letter sent by our Party, the All Progressives Congress (APC) dated 23rd June 2015 conveying the approval of the Party’s Principal Officers vis a vis the APC House Leader, the APC Chief Whip, the APC Deputy House Leader and the APC Deputy Chief Whip for the House of Representatives.

This letter by the Party is in compliance with the expressed wish and mandate of the Majority Members of the All Progressives Congress APC Caucus in the House of Representatives.

This action of the Party and the APC House Caucus is in compliance with the Nigerian Constitution, the House Rules and Parliamentary tradition, practices and precedents in Nigeria and all over the World.

But to our surprise and in breach of our privilege and rights as contained in the Constitution and extant House Rules, Mr. Speaker refused to read the letter from our party.

The Speaker and Deputy Speaker are not Party Principal Officers but are House of Representatives Presiding Officers and by precedent and practice are expected to provide a level playing ground for all members, while the Party Principal Officers are supposed to be the main advocates for their individual party positions.

The Speaker and the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives are elected by all members of the House of Representatives irrespective of party affiliation and it is also possible under our extant rules for a Speaker and his Deputy to be elected from a minority/opposition party in the National Assembly.

Therefore, Speaker Yakubu Dogara of the House of Representatives cannot under extant Laws and House Rules Appoint, Choose, Select, Dictate or even provide guidance on how Party Principal Officers emerge or are elected or selected. That responsibility and authority lies with each Party and Party’s Caucus members in the House.

If I may ask is Speaker Yakubu Dogara empowered to do that for the PDP House Caucus

This action, by Speaker Yakubu Dogara cannot and will not be allowed to stand as it will set a dangerous precedent in our parliamentary practice as it will give the Speaker the right and authority to appoint, Choose, Select, Dictate or even provide guidance on how Principal Officers emerge or are elected or selected by the Majority and Minority Parties in the House of Representatives. This action is capable of truncating our democracy.

As for the claim being made that a particular zone should not be allowed to produce more than one Principal Officer, we say and we say this with all sense of decorum, that this claim is absolutely RUBBISH!!

Precedences were set in the 6th & 7th Assemblies where a single zone, the Northwest, produced two  and three Principal Officers, respectively.

We the loyal and disciplined majority APC Caucus in the House of Representatives are fully committed in ensuring that our party’s and President Muhammadu Buhari’s manifesto, agenda and positions prevail despite the efforts and shenanigans of the opposition party(s) and the few disloyal and undisciplined APC party members in the House of Representatives.

We are determined in our efforts, to utilize all legislative strategies available to us, so as to ensure the compliance with due process and democratic norms and values.

We shall persevere, come rain come shine!

We the loyal and disciplined majority APC Caucus in the House of Representatives and the All Progressives Congress have dished out enough of the carrots, it’s time to crack the whip so as to ensure party discipline and maintain order.

Dare I say, we rode to power on the platform of the party, the party is supreme and thus no one is above the party!

God Bless the All Progressives Congress!

God Bless The House of Representatives!!

God Bless Nigeria!!!

Thank You for listening
