Dangote got it wrong. He should have first developed his oil field before he completed his refinery.
The cost of drilling a barrel of oil in Nigeria is between $25 and $48 per barrel, depending on a number of factors, including insecurity, investment, and production location. It is among, if not, the highest globally!

■ They have resolve it, in their place of work and they have relieved her of her job but the issue here is why will she be accused of stealing and of a truth, I believe her boss explanation more than her own, because the evidence and detail explanation is very clear to me, she is just crying that she can't do such and that they set her up, but it is not adding up to me.
If you already made up your mind to believe her boss over her, then you have your chosen truth which is that your wife is a thief, right? Whether she is crying or not, your mind is made up that she is a thief. It seems very simple to me. So, what are you bugging about?

■ We don't stay in same state for now, she left my place about 10 days ago after two days that was when this accusations came in, and when she was going I gave her 50k.
■ So it baffle me that just two days, she will start stealing when she even have money in her account. We have not see, since they accuse her, in order for me to judge her physically.
8 days ago and you already, behind her back, called and talked to her boss?

2. Is this person a woman and wife to you or just a child you picked up and are sponsoring? You way you regard her concerns me as it seems you are looking for a way to cast her down rather than be the supportive husband to her even through this.

Nwokem, give your life to Christ and stop smoking trash. Jesus is Lord
You can just wistfully declare these things and then expect it to be so based on your private delusions. Jesus Christ Himself declared that His Father sent Him only to the Lost(condemned) Sheep of Israel and that He would be raised like the bronze snake was raised in the desert so He could offer them eternal life. Those who are not of the specified bloodline are even shunned when He warned His followers against giving the Gospel to the dogs — non-Jacobites/Israelites. Believing otherwise is the ignorance perpetrated by religion against the gullible. undecided

■ I asked the question because you claimed that : "When Africans are in society where all are encouraged to provide solution, many excel to become commendable solutions providers."
Does such a society even exist as we speak?

Black society in America, for example, still drags around its past with it — that shadow basically still colors much of the way many blacks in America reason to date. So, you can't say that such a society exists yet in America. undecided
Politics / Re: Minister To Defend Rights Of Detained Children From #EndBadGovernance Protests by Kobojunkie: 7:55pm On Nov 02
Great100000:
The Minister of Women’s Affairs, Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim, has expressed deep concern over the recent detention of 32 children, reportedly arrested on August 3, 2024, during the #EndBadGovernance protests in Kano and Kaduna states.
In a statement on Saturday, the minister acknowledged public concern regarding the treatment, safety, and rights of these detained children, stating, “The Ministry is taking active steps to address these issues.”
She added that ensuring every child’s rights is paramount, as enshrined in the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, the Child Rights Act, and international treaties to which Nigeria is a signatory. She emphasised that every child, regardless of circumstance, is entitled to protection, dignity, and a fair judicial process under the law.
Na now the minister wake up? Or this is just the typical attempt to piggyback on the attention this issue has received in the last couple of days? angry

■ As far as governors organise LG elections, they will still be in charge of LG allocations because they will install their stooges as LG chairmen. That's why some pundits are suggesting that Abuja INEC should organise all elections while the useless state election umpires be shut down because they cannot oversee a transparent election.
OP is not asking or concerned with the elections at this point but the fact that allocations meant for his LG are not being used where it was allocated for. Suggesting he gather the people in the LG to fight that practice is the most sensible thing to do in the current situation. undecided

Abuja and INEC both have absolutely nothing to do with this particular issue; Also, the will of the people will always sit above Abuja if the people unite and fight for their rights no matter what. undecided

■ Lol yeah. Only when it comes to gossip. But do they read books? No. Do they like to get outside their comfort zone? Nope.
I think the lack of book culture is largely to blame on Tradition/Religion. Our cultures and our religions do not typically promote the mining of knowledge and application of knowledge in such a way as to benefit us both at the family, community, and societal levels. So, the typical Nigerian child is discouraged from a young age from investing more in that curiosity in life in the acquisition of knowledge. Books are there majorly for studying and building a successful career out of and not much else. undecided

I keep asking myself this questions, why do we not find African men taking interest in hobbies that are productive, just like Europeans and Asians.
These hobbyist are usually men who use their experiences and expertise to build, create and also manufacture home made machines etc.
They usually would form groups to share knowledge, experience, challenges and new methods.
Some groups includes, homemade engineer manufacturers, jet engine manufacturers, rail system manufacturers, etc..the list is endless
This culture as been on for centuries, and that's one of the biggest drivers of technological advancement and growth.
My question again is: Why are Africans not bothered about stuffs like this?
Such things as money, status, and sex are held above everything else in the mind of the average African even in the year 2024. A good portion of Africans still believe happiness is derived from such things. grin

There is no justifiable reason to find lost money in her bag. Since since has been punished for the act, please stand with her and let it be between you alone. Self-discipline and self-control is what it takes, not your grace of God... you all use that phrase as an excuse not to do what ought to be common sense. undecided

These things still boil down to their way of life down there. Sometimes you might think it's religion but it's actually not. These guys are just born radicals. In all of these though their Traditional Rulers, Imams and their evil leaders should pay the money FG requested. I don't know why it's so hard for their leaders down there to create a meaningful impact in their states there. All they do and act is primitive and backward way of life, create Almajiri schools and be teachind Arabic morning till night. Then later they tell them to start shoe making businesses. I curse their religious leaders and all those evil men holding these kids destiny in their hands.
Radicals? Are they worse than the agberos and cult boys prevalent in all of southern Nigeria? All many of them did was protest against hunger and your government took the chance to blame them for some of the worst. Have we already forgotten about the man who was arrested as the mastermind behind the flying of Russian flags during the protest? sad

1) She save all her contact in her email, and her email is log into my phone.
2) I don't have such intentions to reveal her secret to my family or her
3) I'm not considering divorce but ways to hand it more efficiently and maturely. She is a lovely wife every man can wish for but it hurt to know your wife reputation is stained.
1. Her email logs into your phone so you took it on yourself to, without her permission, converse with her boss?

2. Then why mention your family as though they needed to know about your wife's vices from you?

3. Ways to handle what? I am not sure what the details are but shouldn't you be there for your wife no matter what? If it turns out she stole it, shouldn't you be on her side still and be there for her to confess and talk to instead?

■ .....Last week, I had conversations with her boss and her boss open everything/story for me, it break my heart that her name is associated with stealing and just that last week, when she came to my place of work, I gave her 50k for her up keeping. And I do send her 10k weekly feeding, we don't stay in same place. She stay in Benin why I work in lagos. She stay alone. She is a very fervent Christian and it is hurting me since a week now, that my woman can be accuse of stealing. I don't steal and it is against my principle. She don't lack in that place of her work.
■ .I have not informed my family and her family. Because I don't want her to lose the respect they accord her. It is breaking me since a week now. What should I do my fellow people, I will be glad with all your inputs. I'm a nairaland of over 13 years.
Moreover, she has not steal from me and she don't ask too much money from me, she is always a contented person. She don't spend outrageously like me, no extra expenses/bill on her from her side or my side.
■ .Still I'm hearing all this thing from the first time. She is even her church treasurer for over 6years and her pastor has been calling me and telling me that she can't do it but I'm confused because the evidence is very glance in my eye from her boss narrative.
How did you come to having a conversation with your wife's boss? Does she also have conversations with your own boss or something? undecided

2. Do you actually intend to tell your family that your wife was accused of stealing by her boss? WOW... Jeeezzzz...

3. WOW... is it me or does it sound like you are even considering divorcing her at this point?
