How she got there is not an issue so long as she’s legit. The problem is that her finances aren't enough to pay for his MBA. If he goes back for a 2nd interview with the same funding formula, he stands a higher chance of getting denied again.

Thanks guys! Her ex husband went to the US via American Lottery. He later filed for the children and when they got their citizenship, one of them filed for her. Hence her status in the US. Also, she is a grandmother in her mid 50s but still working as a senior money laundering analyst at a financial organisation in US. I'm confident that her status is legit. Also, regarding the funding, its a deficit of 28k as i have a personal savings of about #2m (for my upkeep) and my parents will also be supporting me.

Me: She is currently working as an Investigative Money Laundering Analyst at ******* bank, USA (my aunt lives in new jersey and i have a bank statement of $80k)
VO: Typed for some seconds and gave me the blue paper
Here is the twist: i deferred to summer semester, paid another visa fee and was lucky enough to have gotten another date for mid february 2023.
But someone said i shouldn't have written on my ds160 that my sponsor lives in the US and advised i put her nigerian address which i feel will be misrepresentation. I even declared that i dont have an immediate family memeber in the us but i have other relative in the us (obviously my sponsor). My question is -Should i get another sponsor here in nigeria and request for a new i120 (will be pretty hard tho) or should i just go ahead with what I've submitted?
Also, i used the sane passport photograph for this new application but i plan on going with a a new one. Will it be okay?

I was denied a student visa yesterday in lagos and i have already written to the school to defer for spring semester. Now, i intend to reapply at the abuja embassy even though its currently closed now. My question is that, is it safer to pay another mrv fees now hoping to reapply when the abuja embassy opens up (hopefully i will get a date before April 2023) or will i be lucky to see an earlier date before April 2023 at Lagos embassy?
