German goalkeeper Bernd Leno has agreed to join us from Bayer Leverkusen. The highly-rated 26-year-old made more than 230 appearances for Leverkusen in more than seven seasons with the Bundesliga side. Spending most of his youth career at Stuttgart, Leno signed for Leverkusen in 2011 and that September became the youngest goalkeeper to feature in a Champions League match at the age of just 19 years and 193 days, during Leverkusen’s group-stage game against Chelsea. A Germany international, Bernd received his first senior international call-up in 2015 and has since won six caps for his country. Last year he was part of the Germany squad that won the 2017 Confederations Cup. Head coach Unai Emery said: “We are very pleased that Bernd Leno will be joining us. Bernd is a goalkeeper of high quality and experience. He has been a top performer and regular number one goalkeeper with Leverkusen in the Bundesliga for the past seven years. We are all excited that Bernd has chosen Arsenal Football Club and look forward to start working with him in pre-season.” Bernd’s shirt number will be announced in due course. The deal is subject to the completion of regulatory processes.

A MAN has been accused of having S€X with a HORSE after the owner allegedly saw him duck in and out of a stable. Police in Florida say he could be jailed for considerable time if convicted, but local wildlife would be safer. The NWF Daily News reports the 26-year-old man from the town of Valparaiso is now facing multiple charges in connection with the molestation of a horse. It said Darius Galloway of Okaloosa Avenue is charged with sexual activities involving animals, burglary of an unoccupied structure and petit theft. Burglary is a felony, while the two other charges are misdemeanours. The newspaper obtained the arrest report from the Valparaiso Police Department. It claims that on April 25, the owner of a female horse at a stable on Valparaiso Parkway, noticed oil on the horse’s rump. It happened again, this time on June 20 when as well as the oil, there was a clear and visible handprint in it. A third occasion was a week later with more oil, and this time with a white substance, later identified as semen on the female horse’s v@gina area. So cameras were set up in the stable should the attacker turn up again. Sure enough, according to police, on July 19 the camera allegedly captured images of Galloway entering the stable wearing a long-sleeve, hooded garment with a “skull and bones” design. It is claimed Galloway could be seen on the video obtaining a folding chair and then standing on it shirtless behind the horse in her stall. The police claim when he was done, he turned away from the stable, and his face was apparently very clear to see. Then finally, on July 26, the owner of the stable reportedly saw Galloway walk down her private driveway and head toward the stable close to midnight. The owner summoned police help and it is claimed a short time later officers located Galloway in the horse’s stall. Galloway is currently being held without bond in the Okaloosa County Jail According to the report, Galloway had his shirt around his neck, and his trousers and pants were sagging. It is claimed this time he also spotted a camera, and had it in his hand when police arrived. Authorities allege Galloway has now admitted having sexual activities involving the horse, and that he intended to take the camera with him and use it at his residence. Credit; The Sun Uk |

Alexis Sánchez could be in contention to appear in Arsenal’s Community Shield clash against Chelsea on Sunday after returning to training. The forward’s participation in the club’s pre-season preparations had been delayed, first by him representing Chile at the Confederations Cup and more recently by illness. His future also remains the subject of uncertainty amid consistent reports linking him with a transfer to Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester City, Bayern Munich or Chelsea. The Arsenal manager, Arsène Wenger, had previously said Sánchez would return to training last Sunday, but after apparently recovering from illness, the 28-year-old posted an image of his progress. Having earlier posted a picture of his arrival in London, next to a photo on social media of him running, he wrote: “Back to training.” His potential availability would be a significant boost to Wenger, who remains adamant Sánchez will not leave the club this summer, despite entering the final year of his contract. It would also represent the first opportunity to test him alongside club-record £46.5m signing Alexandre Lacazette.

Chelsea eased to a 3-0 victory against London rivals Arsenal in the first outing of their pre-season tour this summer. Michy Batshuayi hit a double in an impressive display for the Blues while Willian opened the scoring five minutes before half-time after a sustained period of pressure. Arsenal, in contrast, looked disorganised and lacklustre - despite heading into the fixture with three games under their belt. Arsene Wenger's men take on Benfica in their next match while the Blues face Bayern Munich. 1 Like

Romelu Lukaku scored his first Manchester United goal as Jose Mourinho's side overcame Real Salt Lake 2-1 in a fiery friendly in Utah. The Belgian, 24, who signed from Everton for £75m, got the winner seven minutes before half-time to add to Henrikh Mkhitaryan's equaliser after United had fallen behind on 20 minutes. United then lost Juan Mata to injury and Antonio Valencia to a red card. "[Lukaku's goal] is nice for him but not important for me," said Mourinho. "I told him I love what he does. He assists, he moves. He holds the ball well. I like everything he does." Mata limped off following a heavy challenge from Sebastian Saucedo but is expected to be out of action for a week at most. Valencia was then sent off for a tackle on Saucedo, referee Allen Chapman speaking to Mourinho before belatedly dismissing the Ecuadorian. "The delay was because the referee asked me to change the players and I didn't because I don't agree with the card," added the Old Trafford boss. "Saucedo was really aggressive with what happened to Mata and some other actions where he was a bit dangerous. It's pre- season so no problem - it's a good experience." United face Manchester City in Houston on Friday morning UK time (02:30 BST).

Federer claimed his EIGHTH Wimbledon singles title, the most by any man in any era, after Cilic broke down in tears during the second set. Roger Federer won his first Wimbledon title in 2003 – and has gone on to win seven more, with his last coming five years ago The big Croat had a problem with his left foot which was later treated at a medical timeout. And the strange sight of a Wimbledon finalist in such distress took some of the gloss off Federer’s remarkable achievement. Cilic’s issue appeared to be purely physical and he avoided becoming only the second player ever to retire in a Wimbledon final. But he could not deny Federer a triumphant return to winning ways. Speaking after his victory, Federer was quick to pay tribute to his opponent. He said: "It is cruel sometimes but he fought well and is a hero. So congratulations on a wonderful tournament. "He should be really proud, this is a special occasion. It is cruel when you don't feel well in the final and I hope we can play down the road. "I will have to take more time off! I don't know. I will have to take another six months. Federer had to save a break point in the fourth game as Cilic made a confident start. But in the fifth he set up a break chance of his own with some fantastic play which had the crowd on its feet. And Cilic conceded another break, and with it the set, in the ninth game, despite going 30/0 ahead. The Croat was soon behind in the second, making three groundstroke errors from 30/15 up to hand Federer the game. After the Swiss had held serve to take a 3-0 lead, Cilic broke down while sitting on his chair. After a brief conversation with the trainer, he sat with a towel over his head to compose himself and when he belatedly answered the umpire’s call of “time”, the crowd gave him a rousing reception. But Federer showed no mercy, losing only two points on his serve in the whole set and taking Cilic’s again. The Croat appeared to be treated for blisters during the break. It seemed to do him good and the third set was even for a while, but yet another forehand error by Cilic gave Federer the chance to break for a 4-3 lead, and he took it. The Swiss then served his way into the record books with an ace, claiming his 19th Grand Slam and continuing a quite remarkable comeback at the age of 35. But it was a tough day at the office for Cilic although he admitted he played the best tennis of his life to reach the final. An emotional Cilic said: "I never give up in a match. I gave it my best - it's all I can do. "I had an amazing journey here. I played the best tennis of my life. I really want to |
