I am unsure if my encounter stands out given that you have provided help to so many. I am the guy who had to travel on the night of July 15 and you took what I consider to be "extraordinary steps" to ensure that my visa was available that day.
To you it might have been a little thing, to me it was a life altering event. Ma'am, you not only saved my wife's job, you affirmed my belief that "good people make good places".
Thank you so much for everything that you did. I pray that you will never lack help. In mysterious ways, God will provide you with people to help you and other members of your family.

You are indeed an Angel, and in this guy's family, you will always have a special place.
After my encounter with you I am re-inspired to always strive to be a blessing to others.
I pray for success, good health and a sound mind for you.

Thank you. E se.

Hi VO,
I am willing to pay for DHL to deliver it to the DHL collection center in Victoria Island or any of their offices in Lagos.

Thank you.

Hi VO,
I just checked the status of my immigrant visa, and it has been issued. I went to the DHL center and they do not have it.
The lady at DHL tells me that they only receive immigrant visas on Fridays and Tuesdays. Friday is a NIgerian public holiday.
I know you usually recommend that travelers do not make plans until they have the actual visa in hand, but as I stated in an earlier post: I bought a 2- way ticket originating from the US ( You know the circumstances)
Is there any way I can pick it up at the embassy: '"compassionate exception ?"

(My wife's job is hanging in the balance if I am not in the US by tomorrow)

Thank you.

Thanks!!!
Yes, I did see you looking stern a couple of times but that paled into insignificance when you smiled.
Thanks for easing the paths of so many!!!

Thank you for everything!!!

Good morning VO,
I just checked the status of my visa on the ceac website and received a message that it is in *administrative processing " and might take several weeks to process.
I am the guy who you spoke to on July 11, ( I accurately identified you after the other consular officer asked me to guess!)
From my previous visits to this site, I know you have clarified a couple of cases where the ceac site showed administrative processing.
I am hoping you can help me as well.
I know you have previously said that given that the hardware crash has been resolved you will no longer resolve specific cases on this site.
However, I have emailed both lagosiv and ustraveldocs without any response thus far.
Given that my initial interview was rescheduled from June 19 to July 11, seeing this notice about administrative processing has me worried
Can you assist?

Thank you.

( By the way, your infectious smile gave you away!!!)

Thanks once again.

VisaOfficer:

Unfortunately, probably not. It generally takes five business days, if there are no technical or security-related delays in printing. We always encourage all visa applicants not to purchase tickets until they have taken physical custody of their printed visas.

VO,
Thank you for your prompt answer. Unfortunately I bought a 2 way ticket originating from the US.

Thank you for taking time to respond to my inquiries.

I hope you have a great day.

VisaOfficer:

Unfortunately, thousands of people around the world are in the same situation. July 11 is indeed the earliest available appointment we can offer you. We regret the delay and have been working overtime to make sure the delay is not even longer.

VO,
Thank you for your quick response.
I am unsure what the visa printing process is currently like, but is it reasonable to expect to pick up an approved visa on Tuesday July 14 if the interview holds on July 11.

Thank you.

Good morning VO.
I am the beneficiary of an I601a waiver who traveled down an interview at the Lagos Consulate. My initial interview was scheduled for June 19, so I was among those affected the massive global computer glitch.
I arrived in Nigeria on June 13 to give adequate time for my medical examination hoping to return to the United States on June 24.
I received an email on June 15 rescheduling my interview for July 11.
I have literally lived on the state department's website travel.state. gov tracking the progress as consulates return online.

Per the state department's website, those with imminent travel needs are being given priority.
I have asked the scheduling department for an earlier date than July 11 as my family and I are already suffering irrecoverable losses due to the unexpected delay.
Unfortunately, all my attempts to convey to the scheduling department that my wife and family are suffering because of my protracted absence have been met with an inflexible response.
I was at the consulate on June 19 and witnessed a gentleman informing the applicants that ALL interviews for June 19 were rescheduled for July 11.

I am completely at my wits end, helplessly watching the fabric of my life unravel: My wife has had to miss 4 days of work now because she is unable to get adult supervision for our daughters.( that would have been my job)
The lost days translate into lost income. For the first time since we bought our home it appears we will miss a mortgage payment.

I am unsure how you can help, but I stumbled on this website in my desperate search for any solution.

You have being a light of hope for so many, I am hoping that you can shine a light on my path as well.

My wife is the petitioner: I am the beneficiary.
Case # LGS2014601062.

Thank you.
