Family / Re: My Wife Of Less Than Two Years Says It's Over Between Us by Kpac(m): 2:54pm On May 26, 2022
Pushed out of my retirement just for your sake.
I have read your post, read between the lines and my submissions to you are not complicated.

You seem to be a passionate man, seem to be a cultural one too, a man who cherished the proper African family cultural values and glad you are. But without mincing word, its obvious and clear you have chosen a wife who is definitely lacking in these vitals. As sad as that is, as hard as you want this to work, as much as you don't want people to talk about your marriage failing.......i am sorry to let you know that is the most realistic new situation for you now.

Men are complicated, very complicated in most cases. A man is the only creature God created that will want a car that will not attract Armed robbers, a car that will not over speed, a car with high fuel economy and a car that will not cause envy in the neighborhood BUT at the same time will die to be able to buy a V12 Turbo, 800hp Sport Car with Lambo Doors. You want a very correct "African wife" who knows the value of breast feeding a baby, knows how to take absolute care of the entire home, able to train a child the proper way, be able to cook proper African dishes....However the same you will empty your savings running after a lady who pierced her nipples, had Ayamataga's nail fixed, with 6 nose rings and a 500k tik tok followers account. You go into the bathroom of these kind of ladies and the wide display of chemicals + formulas + liquid concussions + carrot + watermelon + guava + egg + everything else flavor soaps you see displayed will totally confuse you if our mother's didn't turn out as much beautiful with a just a Lux soap doing the same job.

From the days of Adam till now, a square peg will NEVER fit a round hole. We always get distracted as guys and constantly do this mistakes generation after generation.

The lady you have chosen, is beyond all doubts, not the kind for you. She is tired, exhausted and knows within herself she is not and might never be able to get to live that life that you expect. As a lady, as usual of most ladies, they are very honest with themselves. The men, the us, are usually the confused ones who are always deceiving ourselves. She cannot cope and she intends to keep everyone safe by refusing to come back to fit the round hole you have reserved for her square peg. You could go ahead and force her, bundle her back like your desperate in-laws have suggested, but it will end in either of 2 ways, she will still leave your house very violently or your baby's life may be sacrificed for your recklessness.

I am sorry but word truth doesn't have a short or long form, a full meaning or summary, an abbreviation or extension. The truth has always been the truth and in your case, you have chosen the wrong lady for a wife and she is not the one for you. Sadly.

Face the circumstance, let her be, leave her alone and take your 5 month old, innocent baby to your parent's home for proper upkeep for now. Get a very decent maid, if you can and if your parents permits, and let the maid leave with your parents to support them in the whole process of fending for that baby.

Allow the natural time for your heart to heal, face your work squarely, care for your baby the best you can and let the next 6 to 12 months decide what your next and best line of action will be.

As for your wife, in case you are wondering what becomes of her and how she will cope or whether she might still come back to beg or resume back her place as a wife.......Try to imagine a very beautiful and attractive bird caught and kept in a cage for 2 years and then one day returned back to the wild where it was captured and released from the cage. She will be perfectly and wonderfully fine.

Don't force things to go your way because of what people, neighbors and friends will say. You seem to be seriously concerned about this and that is rather unfortunate.

Cheers.

Politics / Nigeria - Bare And Naked - An Open Letter To All by Kpac(m): 3:07pm On Oct 20, 2020
Nigerians, Shamefully, seems to have quickly forgotten those years, barely 5 years ago, when we suffered as a country. How could we repay the massive rejuvenation of our economy under this President and Political Party, by extension, with a massive protest like this.

5 years ago, when we were all suffering, when a Dollar was exchanged for 185 naira, when 2 Razor blades was sold for 5 Naira, when there was nothing like 50 naira stamp duty charges, when a brand new 2 bedroom flat in my area was 250,000 naira, A litre of Petrol was 87 naira, A bag of Rice was 6,800 naira, etc, Alhaji Lai Mohammed was God sent, he was all over the place, shouting on the top of his voice, exposing the shameful lies of the Goodluck Jonathan Government. He said there was nothing like Fuel Subsidy and a litre of petrol should not even be as high as 87 Naira in our oil producing country. He said Boko Haram was a scam and an effective government should be able to end Boko Haram in less than 6 months. He confirmed we were suffering as a country with high cost of living and there was no way the economy could grow when Naira was exchanged for as much as 185 naira.

Well, he said many things. As well as everyone of them that was fighting for us, then. They sometimes would not sleep well for days, as they made sure they tackled the then President Jonathan, as an incompetent president, who is killing Nigeria and Nigerians with his harsh economic programmes.

Fast forward to today, a Dollar is exchanged for 465 naira, 1 Razor blade is sold for 10 Naira, we now have 50 naira stamp duty charges, a brand new 2 bedroom flat in my area is now 500,000 naira, A litre of Petrol is 151 naira, a bag of Rice is now 24,500 naira, etc. So, i wonder, why these protests ?

A local flight from Lagos to Maiduguri, all within Nigeria, as at Today is 75,000 for economy, 110,000 for first class on Azman Air. So why the protests ?

We have a very competent and respected Man of the people, a lover of the Nigerian youths, Chris Ngige, the Minister of Labour and Employment of Nigeria who has been doing his best to end ASUU strike, after just ONLY 7 months. Afterall his own children are all schooling in the UK. So why the protests ?

Rotimi Amaechi, what a lovely man and asset he is to the Buhari Government, has also been doing his best. Our country should be thankful to this man. There was no other competent person to be our Minister of Transportation, hence this man was chosen as the square peg to fit the round hole. With 35,000 naira now, you can fly from Abuja to Kano and you would not even be given any refreshment. Cost of transportation have now quadrupled than what we had 5 years ago. So why protest ?

A typical young Nigerian man, wakes up from a brand new Mouka foam which be bought this year for 52,000 naira (used to be 22,000 naira in 2015). He walks to his kitchen, quickly made a light meal of Indomie Super Park, which he bought for 120 naira (used to be 50 naira in 2015), on a Gas cooker he had just refilled for 3,600 naira (used to be 1,650 naira in 2015). Well, his food is done but he prefers to eat his light breakfast while watching the news. So he quickly rushed downstairs to put on the small Tiger generator, he just bought for 28,000 naira (used to be 15,000 naira in 2015). The generator started one time but it isn't sounding smooth at all and he suddenly realizes the 4 litre of fuel he bought the previous day for 650 naira (used to be 360 naira in 2015) is almost finished. So he sped back upstairs to at least get the News Headline before the generator goes off.

He was lucky cos the news is just about to start. He balanced in front of the TV he bought for 65,000 naira (used to be 45,000 naira in 2015). So now the news starts, as he pays rapt attention...... "Welcome to the New at 9 and here are the Highlights......VAT have just been increased to 7.5 naira. Nigerian Association of Bread Manufacturers and Distributors says they have no choice than increase bread from 100 naira to 150 naira in the coming week. DSTV has just announced an upward review of all their Bouquet and have even reduced the Movie channels on Compact Bouquet. Electricity Tariff to increase by more than 100%. 12 School children lose their lives on their way back from an Excursion on a bad portion of the Badagry express way. 8 people lose their lives as their driver was trying to avoid been extorted by FRSC officials on Ikorodu road. Federal Government have just approved 37 Billion Naira for the upgrade of National Assembly. The Nigerian Senate approves 1.3 Billion naira as second quarter allowance for its members.....And now to the details. The CBN Governor has just increased VAT from 5 naira to 7..."

Generator has gone off. Damn. Anyway, he rushed up his meal, took his bath and stepped out. He walks down the staircase carefully. He just rented the renovated apartment and he hasn't really gotten too familiar with the staircase well enough. He rented the apartment for 450,000 naira (used to be 250,000 naira in 2015) and yet was forced to pay another total of 210,000 naira as Caution + Agency + Agreement Fee.

As soon as he open the staircase door that leads outside, something fell. Omo, na Nepa Bill o. His eyes quickly went to the current charges. His current IKEDC charges is 21,252.11 naira and the outstanding on the bills, as accumulated by previous tenants of his flat is 486,896.71 naira. His day has just started but the IKEDC bill killed his morale instantly.

He left the compound angrily, sad and confused. Got to the bus stop and those conductors are saying Oshodi-Oshodi 400. Jesus. How can ? He is really so confused and there in the hot sun wondering how to cope. He has waited for 35 minutes now and some of the buses are even demanding 450 naira for the trip to Oshodi. After 40 minutes in the hot sun, he was very lucky to get one for 300 naira and hopped in with a struggle. He spent exactly 1 hour 28 minutes between Alakuko and Oshodi due to the extremely bad portion of the road and the corruption of the Agberos at every bus stop. He finally alighted at Ikeja-Along bus stop, extremely extremely tired.

By the way, this young man just relocated to Lagos State. He is a graduate of Computer Science and wants to buy a New Laptop at Computer Village, so he can start practicing his web designing skills again and hoping to get web design jobs in Lagos. He has to start planning to settle down and get married soon. His previous Laptop was stolen by armed robbers at Okenne - Lokoja road when he was coming back from his National Service Program.

He was able to get a brand new laptop after 4 hours roaming Computer Village. A brand new Laptop now costs 220,000 naira, the last one he bought was for 140,000 but the guys at Computer Village explains that nowadays, Nigerian Custom Fees they are forced to pay is like 4 times what it was before in 2015. He had no choice, bought the laptop and now he heads home.

2 policemen stops him, searched him, searched his phones and concluded he is a Fraudster else he wouldn't have had such amount of money to buy a brand new Laptop. He was shocked. He tried explaining to them and they instantly slapped him 3 times. Pushed him inside their VAN and took him away to the station which is more than 10 kilometers to where they picked him. They beat him black and blue, dragged him to the ATM Machine and forced him to withdraw 200,000 naira of the remaining 211,500.35 naira in his account. They even seized the new laptop and sent him away at gun point.

He cried and cried. Got to the bus stop, met more than 600 awaiting passengers also looking for a bus to take them home. He looked up, saw one bus approaching, tries quickly to get to it and then he suddenly heard Sango/Toll gate 600 naira, wole pelu change e.......

So why does this particular man has to join the protest too ?

Family / Re: I Am 20 And My Mom Wants To Throw Me Out. by Kpac(m): 1:56pm On May 17, 2020
samicine:
Greetings one and all. I'll try to make my lamentation as short as possible.

My mother accused me of stealing her 2k, but I assure you, I didn't. The money got missing on Thursday night according to her and my 13 year old brother. I won't do such a thing, because the times are hard and the pandemic is fueling this hard times. I'm not lazy, I kind of work from home, I write for opera news hub and to some extent I get money from there, currently I have 19k in my account. I have no motive of taking her money, but she insists I took it, and is currently threatening to throw me out of the house.

This is not the first time such thing has happened. When I was still in secondary school, money got missing often and she'll blame me, beat me and starve me for stealing her money, but God helped me and the culprit was found, my other brother was caught, he is 18 now and doesn't stay with us anymore. He stays with my dad. She never apologized for what she did and the scars of that emotional and physical abuse still ripples across my body. But this time I'm not sure I will forgive her if the money is found. I'm planning on leaving home and starting my life somewhere, it's hard, it might just be my naivety speaking, but I need your advice.

The only skill I have is writing and web designing, which I'm almost getting good at. I just need help and guidance. I'm a 200level student and I major in psychology. I'll be 21 by November.

You didn't steal the money is all that matters and you are doing a legit job to support yourself caps it all up. I encourage youths that insists on staying on the right path despite the daunting challenges of life. Been broke, been from a poor home, having responsibilities and all is never enough reason to live a marlian'listic life like most of our youth does now.

Please contact me and ***************************** support your just cause.
Nairaland / General / Re: .. by Kpac(m): 4:11pm On Apr 11, 2020
Ya'll need to calm down.
Helping people is not about having them perfect and all. Its a shame how we "help" people in this part of the world, we expect to see them all ragged up, looking broken and almost dying before we are "convinced" enough to help. To help people here, we subject them to stern interviews, humiliation and do thorough background checks. That situation has taken the purpose of help away.
Bill gate give so much money to Nigeria every time and its not because he cant see it in the news how much money our Senators spend on Luxury cars. Lil Wayne helps people in his neighborhood, who needed help, but lives comfortably in their own houses and own their own cars.
If some one needs help and you feel obliged to help, you do so and feel so happy about what you did. Validating the help is not mine to confirm.
So many of us here wont help a lady who is very hungry or needy and on the verge of committing suicide just because that particular lady walked up to us in a Gucci Top or Tinted hair, or even because she spoke so fluently or even had piercing on her nose. Now the question is, how do we expect someone to look when they need help ?
If you want to help someone, take pride in the need to do so and dont be all looking for things to "convince" you enough to help.

God bless you sir, I just saw it. I don't know how to thank you enough.
Can I have your number please?
Here's my email address: kcathie69@gmail.com

Well, my school of thoughts on helping / meeting people are like it is in the civilized world. I dont believe you have to repay me for anything at all, not even been able to call you, hear your voice, joke and even meet. You dont have to.
If we are destined to meet, we would meet and i bet you would have one of your best conversation with me, i will make you laugh so much, make you feel blessed to be with me and we would engage in interesting discussions.....but when its time to go our separate ways, i would thank you and would not even ask for your number.

"Thank You" is so big enough. Doesn't need to be supported.

Be good and have a happy Easter celebration.

I need someone I can talk to, I am dying slowly and I am afraid it's going to affect me forever.
I met a male friend yesterday and asked him to lend me some money i can assist my family with this Easter as we ain't buoyant financially at the moment. He asked me to come see him and he requested we have party together with his friend, but I refused.
other people I asked were requesting for my nudes and a night out with them.
what is happening in this country?
I don't want this to hunt me all the rest of my life, I have not had sex before and not on this.
please, what do I do now?

Sorry about all this.
This period has created so many vulnerabilities and the sheer irresponsibility in some guys have only been exposed more at this time.
Even if you like sex, must you now take advantage of someone who wants to feed her family ? someone who is even taking responsibilities for the family.

Please send me your account details and i would send you some money for you and your family to hold up, and probably recharge your phone too, so you can call friends, laugh and be happy

Hello,

I graduated from the school in 1994 and was in the same class then as Adebayo Wole (Proprietor's son), Taiwo Masominu, Taiye Alo, Tomiwa (Little Tommy), Yewande Balogun, Abiodun Bello, etc to mention but a very few.
There was a book then we read in Primary Four or thereabout with the title "The Chief Shadow", that book is one of the best story book i have read in my life and i am looking for that story book so so much. I have lost my copy way back and i have search online relentlessly for it with no success.
If you have that story book, with its complete page, please holla at me, i wont mind buying it at all.
