Well no Universities in South East and South West collect 30k as school fees in this Naija. Who told you the government has agreed to the UTAS? Well you ain't informed, not your fault. Edo state University with enough classes and equipped laboratory? If there are students that stand in that your state University while lecture is on, oboy it is not up to standard.

The money that have been looted for so many years, don't you think it would've gone a long way in equipping our Universities? We want everything cheap abi, well the cheap one you attended is really showcasing itself.

No need arguing with a novice who doesn't know his right.

UNILAG, UI, FUTMINNA many of their courses..their fee is 30k from 200lv..

FUTMINNA engineering school students pay 30k from 200lv...go and confirm..I'm the one that should not be arguing with you..

you are talking about rights? don't shift goal post..tell me any institution where students pay $50 for fees and the school functions up to standard..or to cover all the FG owned institutions ..let raise the benchmark to $100.. mention anyone... you are free to include universities from togo and Cotonou cheesy cheesy cheesy

you dont know Edo state University... no student stand there...that institution is the most equipped government owned institution ever...Go and find out...I'm not talking about Ambrose Ali ..a simple google search will help you

the argument has always been about UTAS plus some other fee.. if both ASUU and the FG agree that what is preventing final agreements for resumptions to begin is for the FG to pay all the months they didnt work for...it means other demands has been settled to some extents.. ASUU is using it usual body language to hide it.. their final bus stop to resume activities is for the Fg to pay back the months of no work no pay

if ASUU isnt wailing about UTAS anymore that should tell you something...watch all the recent interview and statement from osodeke..no be today all this nonsense dey start.. the N1 trillion they were initally demanding for..any story about that again?

Lol, your level of reasoning Sha. Have you been to igbinedion that is a private university? Have you heard the lecturers went on strike because of low salary pay? Have you seen the students protest due to non conducive learning environment yet it is private owned.

The federal Universities that are run with students' fees/oil money lack the basic infrastructures for effective learning. All the unis you apply for outside Nig are government owned undecided, but your looters will never allow institution of higher learning to be of that standard.

No need educating you, your age says so.

lol ..my age?

let me ignore that
state your definition of secondary universities.. let us begin from there..

why will you expect an institution where their fees are no lees than a million to go on strike. ...ehn think sir...and you want the other institutions that students pay as low as 30k to function the same way.. how sir?
mention institutions abroad where student pay $50 dollars for a year and institutions functions well..you think it by celebrating the past glory of UI and UNILAG..

no one is arguing about govt institutions always on strike..in short, ASUU will continue to strike as far as public institutions receives the same amount of funding from students and govt..

you dont need to mention igbinedion.. go to Edo State University and go and see how a standard govt owned university should run. Reference it also to their school fees..then come back and talk.

Nigerians love everything cheap, we should be willing to accept the consequences

ASUU stated clearly that they had issues with IPPIS and demands UTAS to be accepted..now it is done, they want to play another deceitful game..

Says the novice that graduated from mango tree secondary university grin. See you wey Neva comot Naija dey write in saner countries grin, see in saner countries, lecturers are paid well, good infrastructure for effective learning, ICT to reduce stress and up to date library.

In Nigeria we have lecture halls with few seats, thereby stressing students to sit on the floor during lectures. How do you think these students will perform well? Let's leave these sentiments and face the government. My prayer is for God not to allow my children to experience university education in this country.

Buhari and co should invest in education, this is why private secondary/primary schools are booming, the federal/state owned schools have dilapidated buildings with no seats for kids. If care is not taken, this will be the story of govt owned Universities.

the so called booming secondary universities are the same as the government owned institutions..
the same year for courses, same curriculum. .. the few differences in that in secondary universities..lecturers dont sleep with student for marks, they dont drain student with handout fee, they dont dump their students for a whole semester only to show up during the exams day, there are no unnecessary cult group and criminal gangs, their instituions ae better equipped with convenient learning environments, their lecturers are more dedicated to their duties etc..

many of the lecturers in this secondary universities also lecture in or used to lecture in govt owned institutions
for a lecturer, it shocking how your comment sounds like that of an urchin

honestly, ASUU is being insensitive..

at first they were hell bent on ensuring that the FG accepts UTAS as their own payment system.. they were primarily on strike because the IPPIS was not in their favour. now the FG has accepted all their terms and condition..

they now switched the game to something else..
why fighting for salaries you didnt work for?
besides why not resume and see if how their salaries will be with UTAS..gluttons

You can see it clearly. The same way they rotate power among the two regions.

Imagine a region that contribute most to the national treasury, nothing to show for. When we raise voice, they will say hold your governors

responsible. Shebi na state government dey finance these listed projects? Calabar-Itu federal highway has been in complete comatose for years

now, no show. Link railway to these two states na wahala

One Nigeria indeed

NLNG train 7 cost $10 billion and it is located in bonny island

note that bonny island will have it first bridge open for use by next with a construction cost of N120 billion

the only region marginalized in terms of infrastructure is the north east

Coldie:
So Abuja Kaduna Kano road project is more expensive than second Niger bridge but they said they had to toll second Niger bridge cause there was no money to build it. There’s no money to build it but there’s money to build a more expensive road somewhere else

The 2nd Niger bridge, Abuja kaduna kano and the lagos ibadan expressway will all be tolled according to the national tolling policy

they are all under the PIDF which receives funding from the federal government, Abacha's loot and NSIA also source for alternative funding as well

note that the bridge is not funded under a PPP initiative which usually requires a toll station to pay the money invested like the lekki ikoyi link bridge

The attention to public infrastructure has been on the rise in the last 10years

Nigeria has pumped no less than $42 billion to address it infrastructural challenges. This is the highest amount spent on projects embarked upon in just about a decade and since the country’s existence.

Approximately half of the bulk of financing came from the government through initiative such as loans, tax credit schemes, bonds etc. and the other half from private investments.

These spending are also been split into different sectors with refinery, rail and roads taking the lead in the amount of money consumed so far.
The goal of the video below is to critically analyze every major piece of infrastructure embarked upon between 2012 and 2022 and comprehensively distinguishing between them their cost of constructions and current status.
