Has she explored the option of getting transferred to the office in Canada? I think she should.

seunpinky:
Good day All,

I recently got PPR (family of 3). I am in a dilemma and I would appreciate your opinions as to which option to go with. My wife works with one of the Big 4s and she needs to give them 3months notice b4 resignation.

Option 1: I land alone, try to settle into the country and make adequate provisions for her and the kid. With this plan, wife and kid would come after her 3months notice period. However, someone told me that if I come alone, immigration may not allow them entry because I am the PA and that the PA is expected to travel with them.

Option 2: She applies for leave from work and We all come together but she and d kid do softlanding. They return back to Nigeria after spending one month and she drops her resignation letter and wait out the 3 months notice period. My issue with the second option is that we would have to spend money on flight twice..

Pls house I need your opinions

Hello everyone,

So I joined a WhatsApp group for people trying to get to Canada created by Chioma (one of the organisers of the last trip). Send me a direct message or reply me here if you are interested in details.

first set of officers you meet would give you a form to fill in contact details and where you would isolate . Next is the one goods declaration form where they ask what and what you brought. Then to the main counter where copr is signed. For accommodation its best to inform host you are a traveler as mine cancelled due to covid fears. Later found a host who didn't mind i just traveled. For groceries there are apps for ordering stuff ( i used instacart and got free shipping as a new subscriber). Sin is now done online. Most officers did not bother to verify things said at poe maybe due to covid. But someone was asked to log in their mobile app to see pof balance.

So you were able to get an Airbnb? Are you occupying the house alone? Any pointers on what might help in securing one? Thanks!

Thanks for the response!

No matter how small the community is, there is always a Nigerian community. Even if they are not up to a certain amount, different cities with close proximity usually come together for a gathering at least once a year during independence. There are independent communities in Regina, Saskatoon, Yorkton, Prince Albert and a combined one in Nipawin that comprises Nigerians in Melfort, Nipawin and Tisdale.

Good day folks.

Quick one, is there a Nigerian community in Saskatoon or Regina? The way you have it in places like Calgary and Edmonton?

Are there a lot of Nigerians in that province?

Thanks

Working 5000 hours in a year got me thinking really. There are 52 weeks in a year, it means he works an average of 13hours daily, Monday to Sunday, his post is inspiring and motivating but............

Guy man, we do over 13hours work here in Nigeria without overtime. Imagine the motivation to do that over there if there is extra pay for the extra work?

please could you disclose your career type i.e. finance, construction, health etc?

Also, do you know how easy is it for accountants to get jobs in small towns? Thanks!

salford1:

I have been thinking of how to answer this question. I would type a response, then decide to ignore.

Well, who "not boring" epp?

Some of us came to Canada for better living and a quality lifestyle, not to chase excitement, or look for events to increase our adrenaline or HBP - Lagos has plenty of that.

Infact, after arriving Canada, some of us even move into more quiet areas to live an even more boring life, like some of the naija folks I have met in my new city of residence cheesy.

I moved from Calgary to a city of 16k people by what I will call stroke of luck, and now that we have had several opportunities to move back to a bigger city - Calgary inclusive, we would back track when we think if what we would be leaving behind. Things like driving from home to work places under 10 minutes, kids schools under 10minutes, doctor and hospital - under 10minutes: Infact the doc is only one call away, emergency-out of hospital under 30minutes, cheaper housing and living expenses (for the 1st time, we were able to bank over 100k within a year since moving to Canada, this was after taking out expenses, including hols outside the country), kids daycare under 10min, very flexible working hours, a drive to farms to buy better chicken, beef and goat - under 20minutes, going to malls - under 10minutes, kids taekwondo and swimming classes - under 10minutes, prime amazon delivery gets stuffs to our doorstep, low crime rate etc. I am driving to Regina today for a work meeting and already dreading the small Regina traffic.

On public holidays, we Nigerians (docs, specialists, engineers, pharms, accountants, others still in licensing process, and those looking to God for good jobs etc) in our boring city gather together to party, cook, drink, merry, and discuss about naija. After hols, we return to our boring city lifestyle of taking care of our families.

We might move back to a bigger city later, but we want to enjoy this boring lifestyle to the fullest first cool, and when we do move back to an exciting city or country, it won't be for excitement seeking reasons.

Good evening,

Quick question, for upfront medicals is there a document or form the hospital will give you after the tests?

What exactly are we supposed to upload on CIC website for upfront medicals?

Thank you

NOC 1112 looks good.

NOC 6551 also seems to fits but will not earn you any points as it is NOC C.

Thanks a whole lot! God bless you!

Dear good people of God. Please epp me. I'm about to fill my EE profile but i want to confirm the NOC I chose. I'm using two:

NOC 1112

Monitor Trading Limits.
Review with back office and treasury staff to ensure that the trading systems adequately represent the risk profile of the trading books, and that risk numbers are reported in an accurate and timely manner.
Support in ensuring compliance with Market Risk Policies.
Prepare Daily Market Risk Reports to ALCO members and Treasury department.
Valuate and Analyse trading positions: Treasury bills, FGN Bonds, Foreign Exchange, Eurobond, and any other instrument as pertaining to the trading positions.
Valuate and Analyse Non-trading positions: Available -for-sale and Held-to-Maturity portfolios on Treasury bills, FGN Bonds, etc.
Compute Volatilities and Value-at-Risk.
Carry out maintenance of market rates/prices on Finacle Treasury and Core.
Support strategic responses to market risks embedded in the bank's trading book as disclosed in the reports and other sources of information.

and

NOC 6551

Handle complaints, enquiries and request via the telephone.
First call resolution - handle requests that can resolved immediately e.g. alert set-up.
Generate daily reports.
Log all interactions on the First Contact Service Desk.
Making of outbound calls when necessary.
Provide regular customer product feedback to the supervisor.
Perform customer satisfaction surveys or product campaigns on demand.
Generate and follow up on telemarketing leads.
Prepare regular periodic telemarketing reports in accordance to agreed format and
timing.
Conclude on all telemarketing opportunities. Cross sell the Bank’s products to customers.
Maintain a database of customers and periodically follow up to cross sell First Bank

Please let me know your thoughts. Thanks in advance!

Fidesa:

Hello house, Please i have a clarification i need to make.

Question 1:

When filling the work history of my EE profile, what exactly is to be indicated?
Is it all my work history within the past 5years or only the specific work history that relates to the NOC and skill for which i am claiming points?
I have 5 years work history in total because i graduated in 2013. However out of those 5years, i worked in customer service for 2 years and worked in an accounting consulting firm for 3years.
When filling my work history, should i put only that of the accounting (3years) or the entire 5 years including the customer service experience.

Question 2:

Also, is it possible to submit work experience for a part time job which i worked for 30 hrs per week while doing my full time job.
That is, while doing the full time customer service job during the week, i worked part time with the accounting firm during the evenings and on weekends.
Can i claim points for the accounting part-time work only, since the customer service work is not being used to claim points as it is not the primary occupation.

Question 3:

Does it matter if the work experience for which points are being claimed, does not include where i am presently working?

Please i need answers urgently as i need to submit my profile.

Can someone please help with this inquiry. Thanks!

I contacted them and i was informed that goods have to be quoted in Naira.

Any information about this please?

Celebrities / Some Jobless Lady Has Advise For Buhari's Daughter On Her Wedding by kraits03: 11:22pm On Nov 22, 2016
Really? I know right? How does some babe who looks like a housewife without a shop gives advice to the extremely hot Buhari's daughter who just got married to a billionaire? In case you missed it, Buhari is the current president of the country that used to be the biggest economy before he became president, Nigeria.

Anyways, so this babe says the beautiful girl should have wasted her prime (her prime being she's her hottest and her dad is president) on education, to get a second degree and a masters *pukes*. Like, why waste all that gorgeousness and opportunity on education? Chances are that her dad won't win the elections in 2019 because his reign has just worse than awful! I don't want to get started on him and his jokers!

Music/Radio / Kanye West Begs Jayz To Call Him And Goes After Beyounce by kraits03: 11:23pm On Nov 20, 2016
The famous rapper begged Jayz to call him while he was performing on stage! That's just wrong and childish! He then went after Beyounce saying: "Beyoncé, I was hurt," he said, referring to his discovery that the singer had allegedly agreed to play the VMAs only if she won Video Of The Year, a category Kanye was also nominated in. "I went down seven years on behalf of you … I am putting my career, my life, my public standing at risk when I talk to y’all like this. This is a moment in the matrix, bro."

I think this dude is getting really embarrassing and irritating. He should get a grip of himself, make good music and produce more children with Kim.

Read more here: https://kandeed./

Update: Dude has been rushed to a hospital for psychiatric reasons. check the full story here: http://www.hotnewhiphop.com/more-details-on-kanye-wests-hospitalization-emerge-news.25652.html

Hello folks,

I'm looking to learn how to become a DJ. Could anybody drop details of any sound DJ I can work with and learn from.

Preferably around surulere, but location isn't a major issue. The DJ just has to be in Lagos.

I am ready to start this weekend

Thanks!
