I hardly remember Super Eagle's matches but this one... I remember vividly. Those Danish guys treated us like pikin. I always knew something went wrong....as young as I was....I hated the word "Denmark" for so long because of that match...Chai!

I think most of the people asking us to hustle are also aware of this. It's just a comic way of asking us to work towards being successful in life. Like you've said, everything is not totally in our hands but at the same time, we can also take some steps that can prepare us for opportunities, if they eventually show face. May the odds be in our favour.

You guys are making it look like those who don't make it in life didn't hustle. Bro, it takes more than hustle to make it in life and some of those factors are outside our direct control. Hustling people have died in poverty and people who didn't hustle but got lucky have made it in life.

Celebrities / Re: Gospel Singer, Tope Alabi Reacts After Being Criticized Over Her 'worldly' Dance by kunlero111: 9:47pm On Feb 20, 2020
I count myself as one that is liberal; especially in a situation where no crime is committed. However, some things don't just go together. Tope Alabi's songs create some special atmosphere to those who listen to them(not necessarily because they are gospel) I like listening to those ones she did as sound track in Yoruba Movies too...and some of her actions on stage do not just go along. It's just like a University VC always telling students to go to party regularly. This is what I've observed for some time and it's not just based on this recent video.

Lol....Imagine some people saying Liverpool are not strong that's why Flamengo dragged them to extra time. I hope you remember how strong Barcelona were in 2009 under Pep. They actually had the same struggle against Estuadinas... Football in South America no be child's play...

As it is right now, one can't really be sure of what is right or wrong on this racism issues. I strongly believe Benardo Silva didn't mean it that way....and the real racists are out there, dem no go arrest them. This is like a case of leaving leprosy to cure eczema.

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Shelfield United Vs Liverpool (0 - 1) On 28th September 2019 by kunlero111: 2:11pm On Sep 28, 2019
Since that Mane vs Sallah fight....Liverpool's frontline have been toothless. Klopp needs to work on this or else they will struggle throughout this season. I blame Mane for this tho. He knows both of them are not the typical wingers in the world of football. In fact it is that selfishness, holding instead of passing, shooting instead of crossing etc that make them so effective and unpredictable. Yet he decided to fight on what they are both guilty of. Now the confidence is just not there anymore.

Sports / Re: Tammy Abraham Hints At Switching Allegiance To Nigeria by kunlero111: 3:40pm On Sep 16, 2019
NFF or whoever is involved should stop embarrassing themselves on this boy's matter. The guy is more English than Nigerian for crying out loud. You know how many players Senegal and Mali lose to France daily?. And to be fair with those "foreign" guys, it's not easy to grow up at a country and all of sudden, another faraway country is calling you to come and play for them just because your parents are from there. It is very complex and it always require extra effort on the player's part.
Players who were born and bred in this part of the world don't usually have much wahala when it comes to pledging allegiance to their country of birth. That is why you see the likes of Mane, Sallah, Etoo, Drogba, Mahrez, Yaya Toure, Onana playing for their country of birth (Despite great successes in Europe). They simply grew up in Africa and most of their relatives (including parents) still live in those African countries.
What are we doing to develop young talents from this part of the world?. How are we making sure boys are getting opportunities to attend those top football academies in Europe.
Take Adrea Onana of Ajax and Cameroon for example. He was among those boys that Samuel Eto'o took to Barcelona's academy. Now he is Ajax's first choice goal keeper and he is easily playing for Cameroon.
Bottom line is that any half- Nigerian, half European player who wants to play for us is welcome but we should not make them see it as if they are doing us a favour.

Education / Re: FUOYE Student Shares Eye Witness Account on Clash, Absolves Erelu Fayemi by kunlero111: 10:01pm On Sep 12, 2019
She said she had been informed that a protest was going on before she entered Oye-Ekiti...Shortly after, she was then informed that "the students had dispersed and the coast was clear" Now this is my opinion
1. She should not have gone for that program she went for (at least not the same day) if she was not ready to address the students. She should have foreseen that Students would restart the protest once they see her and history has shown that students' anger is usually triggered in the presence of ANYBODY that has anything related to the Government..
2. A part of me feels she didn't give the killing order...at least not directly. I wish to hear more from eye witnesses on this one. ( very important)
3. She said thugs were probably mixed with students at some point. This should have been expected....except she doesn't have idea of how protests happen in Naija. In this kind of situation, the police and every security officials needed to be extra careful...and again her presence in Oye looked ill timed.
4. The positive effect that a total revamping of the Nigerian Police will have in Nigeria's destiny has been massively underestimated.
5. If you ever become a member of Nigerian government in future, try as much as you can to not be at a place where students are protesting. Things usually get complicated if you are not prepared to speak to them.
6. The protest was a peaceful one until proven otherwise.
