Almost 10 years later, Kyle and Kristen Upham are still bowled over by Paul Walker's unbelievable generosity – after he changed their lives with a single gesture.

Yaya Toure has been nominated for another accolade, as the Confederation of African Football (CAF) announced its shortlist for African Footballer of the Year.

The Manchester City star on Monday was named BBC African Footballer of the Year at the fifth time of asking. Toure won the CAF version last year and could retain the honour at a ceremony in Nigeria's commercial capital, Lagos, on 9 January.

Toure's compatriot Didier Drogba, currently playing at Turkish giants Galatasaray, also made the shortlist, which was whittled down to ten players from 25.

Manchester United have rejected an improved offer from Chelsea for England striker Wayne Rooney.
The bid, made late on Sunday, was £25m plus add-ons but United maintain the 27-year-old is not for sale.
However, Rooney remains intent on leaving Old Trafford and is considering submitting a formal transfer request.

Despite that the striker is expected travel to Sweden with the squad on Monday for a pre-season friendly against AIK in Stockholm on Tuesday.
Chelsea had an initial bid, of about £20m, turned down by United in July and have again been knocked back, despite upping their offer.

United manager David Moyes has continually stressed that Rooney will stay with the Premier League champions but Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho remains determined to bring him to Stamford Bridge.
Rooney has been left angered and confused by recent messages coming out of Old Trafford, most noticeably the suggestion from Moyes that Robin van Persie is the preferred option up front.

The situation could come to a head later this week with Rooney giving serious thought to handing in a transfer request in order to force a move away from Old Trafford.

In October 2010, Rooney said he wanted to leave the club because of concerns over the strength of their squad, but signed a new five-year contract just days later.

He flew home from Thailand in July with a hamstring injury and has not played for the club since a substitute appearance in the 1-0 defeat by Chelsea on 5 May.

But he is expected to play against AIK and could also be involved in Rio Ferdinand's testimonial against Seville at Old Trafford on Friday.

The rumour about how Nollywood actress Susan Peters may be gay was circulated by popular blogger Linda Ikeji and it went viral…fetching hurtful comments from her readers.

The actress spoke out in her recent interview,in which she confessed that Linda privately came to apologize to her,and tended out a public apology on her blog,but says she barely knows her and would not identify her out of a crowd…..Linda Ikeje’s sisters reportedly took to twitter and insulted her(Susan Peters) for lashing out on their sister on twitter,in a bid to save her image.

According to Susan,she was only trying to straighten things up and set the record straight trash the rumour once ad for all.

After surviving today’s eviction, Natasha has tried to clear up everything with fellow ruby housemate and head of the ruby house “Beverly“.
Following a private talk that these had in the toilet, Natasha put it clear to Beverly that she does not consider beefing Beverly because of what she did by saving Bassey and replacing him Natasha for possible eviction.
She also sounded like she understands that this is only a game and a show as well so she has no reasons for hating on Beverly.
She went on to say that she also nominated some two names for possible eviction, so it does not mean that they should also hate on her.
Lets hope she will definately stand by her words and keep it cool with Beverly.
