Mind a PM bro? Also a Civil/Structural Engineer, with Sydney strongly in mind. Thanks
Melbourne is the next big thing now in terms of major capital projects Melbourne Metro coming up in less than 6 months time; by 2020 there would be no underground works in SYD for another 4 years .That is not to say there wouldn't be other construction projects. But tunnelling or underground industry is like the new oil in Australia ( worth 3bn aud$ ).

My fellow Nigerians,
I commend everyone for the keen spirit and Goodwill.
One way or the other, you folks have contributed to my success; consciously or otherwise.

This is my 4th Month in Australia as a migrant (189) and I must say it's one of the most thoughtful decisions I have ever made asides getting a spouse.
With the permission of my ogas I would like to drop the full gist/ timeline in the other room.

However, a simple breakdown goes thus:
Arrived Melbourne 10/10/17
Got my Professional job 23/10/17 without aussie local experience/ driver's licence.
Got my first paycheck 08/11/17(the rate is grin)
Currently working in Sydney on a major capital Metro project.
I give God all glory and honour......

PS: for those still wondering and pondering about the distance and uncertainties; a piece of advice mate# " there are no guarantees in life, but if you dare to conquer your fears, you shall excel beyond your imagination".

bellong I have to requote , are we doing ojoro here?
Mcslize; please don't be offended I'm sure someone with the best suitable answer would tend to your question soon so as not to mislead you.

But if you on the clock; you can consult VETASSESS for document checking service for AUD$110 including GST(even though your assessing with EA).That being said:3 years degree proramme is normally rated as Engineering Technologist( The required academic qualification is an Australian 3 year bachelor of technology degree in engineering following 12 years of schooling or equivalent, source of info MSA booklet). Yes you used direct entry via diploma;which is OND and not a two year degree foundation programme. As such you are at the discretion of EA.

In addition to what as been said; In your reason for refusal if not stated in your visa refusal document from DIBP ; you can state that you submitted Insubstantial documentation, otherwise be has truthful as possible to state what is on your refusal document.
***Remember they ave you on the system already so use grammar wisely.

Hello Bellong,
Please advise if non membership of a professional organization such as NSE and/or COREN would not impact the outcome of an EA assessment provided I'm able to demonstrate alternative opportunities that I have leveraged to keeping abreast with my qualification.
Best-
I'm not Bellong oh, but in my own opinion, you not having COREN shouldn't be deterrent factor, however it is often advisable to be actively involved with a professional body .This shows your relevance to and CPD in the profession. It doesn't cost you much; go and enroll with NSE, register with COREN even if you wouldn't sit for the exam yet.
You can state that you are currently in the process of regularising your membership with proof( payment receipt et' al) in your EA application.

can one still get points from partner skill qualification? if yes, how?
must the 2 occupations be in MLTSSL or STSOL of IMM1 17/072
OR the 2 occupations should just be in IMMI 17/072
You only get 5 points for this if successful and the following must be satisfied by partner;
• Age < 44 years
**Has at least competent English:
If you are using an IELTS test to show functional English, it must be from a test sat no more than 12 months before making your application
•Has nominated an occupation on the same skilled occupation list as your nominated occupation
•Has been assessed by the relevant assessing authority as having suitable skills for the nominated occupation

plz can u xplain d difference btw consultation service and document checking service on skills assessment for migration
http://www.vetassess.com.au/skills-assessment-for-migration/skills-assessment-support/document-checking-service
The Document Checking Service provides guidance to applicants and agents in meeting the documentation requirements for formal Skills Assessment applications. Ensuring your documentation is in order when you first lodge a formal Skills Assessment means the application has a better chance at being assessed in a shorter timeframe.

We check whether you have provided a sufficient number and type of documentation in order for us to be able to effectively complete a formal skills assessment. The Document Checking Service provides step-by-step guidance over the phone followed by a written summary report
The cost for the Document Checking Service is AUD $110 including GST.
However Advisory / consultation service is to assist applicants in selecting the right occupation ( Cost AUD$220)

Good day
I am a female
HND Architecture since 2007
Presently working with the government here in 9ja
Am good with autoCAD, revit, archiCAD, sketch up. And so many other software's.
Lemme know if I should go in as a student or on a PR as an Architectural Draftperson.
Mozoe; you have done well and in my own opinion see suggestions below;
contact your assessing body once you figure out your odds;
312211 Civil Engineering Draftsperson -EA/VETASSESS (At least three years of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualifications ,in some instances relevant experience and/or on-the-job training may be required in addition to the formal qualification.)
232111 Architect- AACA http://www.aaca.org.au/
232112 Landscape Architect- VETASSESS
312111 Architectural Draftsperson -VETASSESS 2 ( SC190,489 only: sponsored by Tasmania only)
You wouldn't need to claim points for your spouse if you can get 60 points or above.

1.I so want to move with my child And have my hubby join later. 2.Or I move alone and have 'em join later. Or we all move together
Should I go in as a student?
Answer:1. PR is often advisable cos you don't get benefits as a student and tend to pay more for child care, Medicare etc.
2. Moving to Australia alone now would cost you more later because dependent child visa takes minimum of 13months and the child has to be outside Aussie when visa is issued. applying together all at once may be expensive in terms of visa fees and all( AUD$1870 spouse and AUD$900 dependent child, Medicals and flight cost for spouse and child: NGN81,600 and NGN659k respectively) but you can make the cash back within a short time when you get in provided you aren't selecting jobs.
If you are assessing with VETASSESS you can dial in for a fee and do a pre -assessment before you turn in your application.
I leave the bulk of the analysis and recommendations to the experienced hands in the house (VETASSESS/ EA peeps).

Hello my e family,

I'm confused on which option to go for. My scenario is that I have both ND and Bsc in Civil Engineering. If I do assessment as a professional engineer(using Bsc) considering my years of experience, I will have 65points. Meanwhile, if I go with civil draftsperson using ND with more years experience , I will have 70points.Although I have to formulate employment letters in the latter case. Which would the house advice I go for ?

Thanks
As a Civil engineer to another; my advise don't formulate/ fabricate any evidence to support your claims! 60 points is good enough for EOI; you just need to wait patiently for your turn.
Since you have 65point as a professional engineer(using Bsc) according to you, why then do you want to assess at a 'low register', if actually you have a degree you can assess with Engineering Australia with a minimum of 12months experience; which can even be drawn from your SIWES/ NYSC year?

Hi everyone, I have a couple of questions please.I have been assessed by EA as a professional Engineer(Mechanical Engineering).First, I have a skilled experience of 20 months(1 year and 8 months) in Nigeria and most of the regions that I want require you to have 2 years. However, I do not know if it is just for skilled experience. This is because I have a lot of unskilled experience in the UK.Again, I want to know at what point can one cease to modify application(after EOI or ITA).I intend to get married before the second half of next year.I am scheduled for PTE next month before returning home,so I do not know if I should halt the PR process till two become one.Thank you in advance.
Congratulations on your +ve assessment; however pertaining to your question; Australia PR is a skilled migration program.
1.You can submit more than 1 EOI and withdraw same before ITA is issued and you have 60 days to apply for your visa after ITA, else you go back to the pool list and wait till you are selected again.
1i. You can submit more than 1 visa application for different Subclasses (eg.190 and 189) but immediately you receive a grant for a particular application, ensure you cancel the other which is of lesser value to you. Else event would override your grant.
For instance you got 189 grant ( the ultimate) and still have a 190 application still active on your immiaccount. My advise withdraw the 190 visa app before a decision is made on the 190.
2. You should aim at 20points in English test and depending on your age, you may just have at least 60points which is good enough for EOI without state or regional nomination.
*** Submit you application once you have ITA and funding and you can proceed to marry you spouse before or after application has been lodged. if you didn't specify you were married during your app; just file a change of circumstance form 1022 and include your spouse in your application before a decision is made on your case. Don't forget to upload all necessary documents for your claims(Medicals, PCC et'al).

Thanks everyone. So there is no closely related occupation to CSM? Ok ooo...diaris God sha.
@segun, please this POF for NT....is it like average balance or closing balance that they want?
My major concern about 489 apart from the zero benefit is that I heard that you must work in your nominated occupation for 2 years before being eligible for PR. So what if I dont get job in that particular occupation nko? I dont know if i am wrong though. Can more light be thrown on this 489 visa please?
1.Can more light be thrown on this 489 visa please? whether or not you get job in your chosen field; you have a moral obligation to remain in the sponsor territory for 2yrs before you relocate. However someone here once argued that you can reside in this territory and work outside provided you pay your taxes and bills in your sponsored state but I stand to be corrected.
http://www.border.gov.au/Trav/Visa-1/489-
2.please this POF for NT....is it like average balance or closing balance that they want? About AUD$35,000 ( single applicant) as evidence of your financial capacity to settle in the NT including net assets but try and confirm from NT website.

Please does dis mean applicant will pay 3600 aud for ITA.....

Kindly assist to shed more light on dis abeg... I am not aware of this before...
EOI is free and Invitation to apply (ITA) issued at the discretion of DIBP is also free but once you decide to lodge an application(deadline: on or before 60days from ITA) for a visa; you would be required to pay a Visa application charge (VAC) amounting to AUD$3670 as a primary applicant.
Do note: that you can pay your VAC in 2 installments but the full VAC must be paid before Visa is granted.
Caveat: I would advice that you get a master dollar card, fund it from black market and pay your VAC in 1 installment to avoid delay in your visa processing time.
I hope I have satisfied your question?
