Sports / Chelsea Still Paying Former Coach Roberto Di Matteo £130,000 Weekly Salary by lalavi: 11:38am On Nov 13, 2013
Roberto Di Matteo is still being paid £130,000 a week by Chelsea despite being sacked 12 months ago.
The Italian was unable to reach a settlement with owner Roman Abramovich on his three-year deal when he was fired six months after winning the Champions League as interim boss.
Di Matteo has already banked almost £7million and will continue to pick up the king-sized salary until June 2014, meaning he is reluctant to take on another job for less money.

Winning feeling: Roberto Di Matteo was sacked by Chelsea despite winning the Champions League
After winning European football's premier trophy and the FA Cup, Di Matteo was given the job on a permanent basis but was soon replaced with Rafa Benitez who in turn made way for Jose Mourinho at the end of last season.
Fulham are the latest club to show an interest in the 43-year-old as the pressure mounts on beleaguered boss Martin Jol.
The Dutchman is fighting to keep his job after a difficult start to the season, but looks set to survive until at least Fulham's clash against Swansea after international break.

happy birthday to my coach, teacher and prophet. Your teachings of the word of God has impacted some much wisdom and knowledge to many of us. Indeed, you are a blessing to our generation.
