' I will eat it in class'she said putting the meat pie and her phone in her bag
She stood up
'tony and tolu am sorry I have to go now I want to brush through something before my lecture'
'bookworm' tony said with a boyish smile
' am not a bookworm' she replied smilling
' you look like one' tolu said wiping the smile off tina's face
' just joking' said tolu with a smile that didn't reach her eyes
Tina wanted to slap her so hard on the face but she knew that won't be possible
' I know' she answered with a fake smile
' I have to go now bye tony' she said as she walked away
'won't you say bye to me' she had emma saying. She knew he was trying to mock her but she could careless.

Tina went straight to the library, she had a lot to cover up, this pass few days so many things have being bothering her so concentrating on her studies have been hard.
She. Knew that no matter what her GP must not drop if she doesn't want her dad's trouble. He might cut her allowance and send her to stay with her uncle who lived at temporary site, and she didn't want that she was happy at ifite with her friends.
She brought out her amb 221 to study, she spent 3hours in the library when she started hearing sounds coming from her stomach so she decided to go to the canteen and have eat some snacks.
On her way out of the library, she switched on her data connection and removed her phone from silent.
' pum pum' came the noise from her phone

I just heard the news how are you copping

She typed. When she finished typing, she returned her phone to her bag and walked to the canteen, she bought a coke and two meat pie. She decided that it was best if she ate her snack in the canteen since she couldn't think of anywhere more comfortable than her. She took a sit close to the window and started to sip her coke
' wow, what a surprise to see you here, I didn't know you frequent places like this'
She lifted her face up on to see Emma, he was tall with a handsome feature that got on her nerves, she didn't like him one bit. He was always with two guys or bullies close to him. She heard his family was very influential that was why he worked around the whole school acting as if her owned it.'stupid boy' she thought.
'now I understand why you have been losing weight recently, let me order something better for you' he said while taking a sit opposite her and the other two demons close to him took their sit by her side.
' thank you but am ok. With this coke' she replied forcing herself not to say more.
'pum pum' she reached for her bag and took out her phone
Talked to tony yesterday, he told me about his new girl, so how are u copping

'lazy girl,na laziness go kill you' said Kate as she watched Tina put her books in her back. Tina knew Kate wasn't happy but she cares less about it. She picked up her bag and opened the. Door only to see sussy and juliana. She greeted them and left
'were is that one going to' asked juliana
'sussy and jully, why can't u people be serious for once, even due Tina is lazy atleast she doesn't joke with her studies'

'and so abi, y are you not dressed up for school yet, even due u have lecture by 9 you should atleast be dressed up by now'
'what are you saying, lecture is by 1 now, we only came here to help you clean your room since we were sure that Tina won't help you'
' ehhh, so that girl was lieing, imagine she told me that she had. Lectures by. 9'
Sussy and juliana laughed
' that girl is very lazy'
' don't mind her' repied Kate ' I don't have her time, she the way this room is dirty and scattered'
' ehh so it's now you are realising that your room looks ike a garbage house abi'
' is it my fault, is it not Tina that is always scattering the room, look at those. Books over there' she said pointing ' are they not Tina's own'
'shut up, you just like to give excuse for everything both you and Tina are the cause '
'ok ok I agree, just help me arrange it'
'I will but just know I won't cook, I dontknow for jully oh but me I won't cook'
' but you will eat'

' thank you'. Sussy said while picking upthe littered clothes on the ground

Chapter 3
'beauty queen rise and shine, today is a new day and all your troubles of yesterday has gone away never to hunt u again' said Kate while opening the curtain for light rays to enter the room.
'you and all your stupid long sentence' said Tina while stretching her body. She checked the time 7:30
'hmm, madam this one you are awake this early today what's happening'
'well, my brother is coming to see me'
'which of your brothers'
'the one I told u works with ministry of agriculture'
'oh, but u said he stayed in abuja'
'yes but he called me yesterday to tell me he would be coming to awka for some business'
'oh, well sorry to disappoint you, I have lecture by 9 so I won't be able to clean, arrange or cook anything' said Tina while rising form the bed and walked to the bathroom.
She was certain she could hear Kate complain, what did she expect, that she Tina will give herself excess work because her brother was coming, no oh, it's not possible.
30 minutes latter she was dressed up and ready for school

She remembered called her a ruler because according to them she had the shape of a ruler. Kate was tall,dark in complexion with a round face and sexy brown eyes with a small curved lips. Her head stood graciously on her neck. She was aware of all the harsh comment that were said about her but thanks to tony, it didn't matter to her. He made her feel special and loved. With time she started blooming, her hips grew wider, she developed two medium pointed bumps on her chest and attractive buttocks.
She started receiving a lot of attentions from boys but she had eyes for only one person tony.
She heard footsteps approaching her room
'gush, those girls are back.' she closed her eyes trying to force herself to sleep,she wasn't in the mood for anyone to nag her anymore.

She believed he hated her because she was the only child her mum was able to give birth to. Like it was her fault, that she was a girl and not a boy and it wasn't her fault that God decided to close her mother's womb after giving birth to her.
Though her mother treated her with love a part of her still felt that her mother secretly blamed her for not being able to conceive again. The only people that made her feel loved were her mum, tony, her friends and James. Oh James that one was different case entirely, he always got on her nerves, she wondered how they even became friends.
Oh, he was only her friend because he was tony's friend though he was three years older than tony and their senior in class. Sometimes she wondered how he and tony ever became friends. However, he was no longer close, he was far away in England studing accounting. They only talked on facebook and the few times he managed to call her but she she was certain she would never call, she won't waste her time calling some one that would just provoke her. That spoilt brat the only reason he was in England was thanks to his parents if not he would be here in Nigeria probably still looking for admission since the only thing he was good at was drawing.
She remembered how she couldn't stop laughing when she found out he was studing accounting, how would he survive with all that math she had wondered but so far he had proved her wrong, he would be finishing his masters soon and here she was in 200level even though she graduated from secondary school at the age of 18 she had to wait for two extra years before she got admission to study in nnamdi azikwe university. Tony was lucky he only spent on year at home. That's the reason he's different now. Back then they were like twins always together even due he was a year older than her it didn't matter but now they bearly see bearly talk and he was just different.

Chapter 2
After they left, Tina continued weeping
'God, why me, why me' she asked with teary eyes.
She tried sleeping but she couldn't. She remembered her first day of school,her parents had just relocated to abuja from Niger state. After two weeks of searching for a school with great facility her mum finally agreed that she would attend prime secondary school.
She remembered being shy, which was normal for new comers. The only person she wasn't shy to was Tony. This was because he was her neighbour and one of the reason her parents allowed her school at prime. He was fun,nice, cheerful and free with her. Thanks to him, she was finaly able to believe there was a place for her in this world.
'oh God y do all the men in my life make me feel so much pain?' she asked
She never had a good relationship with her dad, she was he felt nothing but hatred towards her. He never approved of anything she did, she was never good atanything according to him. She remembered all those years she had tried to please him, all in vain because she was never able to do that.

Kate and sussy raised up there hands to signify that they were starving too.

Tina smiled sheepishly at kate, it's wasn't hard to love kate at all so it was surprising that the two of them were able to stay in the same room peacefully, due sometimes the wondered how she, sussy and juliana becames friends.
'I am certain I won't have ever talked to those two if were not in the same department' she thought aloud

'no just tell me, no just tell me say na that nonsense tony dey make you cry' yelled sussy.
Tina didn't reply her friend she just looked at then, she knew she didn't have to answer because they already knew the answer.
Jully who was now sitting on the ground with her legs wide apart, her hands on her head yelled ' I don die, I don die, hey. God, so Tina you mean to tell me say all that run way I run now na because of tony'
' you girls should calm down, ok Tina what did tony do?' replied Kate, the only calm female friend she had.
'he is dating another girl again, w-------' before she could. Complete her sentence sussy threw her a pillow which landed on her face.
' sussy what is that one for, what is your problem' yelled tina
'action lady, action lady, tina do you know that if somebody should see you now, they won't. Know that you were the same silly girl who was running like a mad woman some minutes ago' replied sussy.
'I don't like what you did oh, I don't like it'
'shut up, shut up, you should thank God that sussy threw that pillow because my plan was to give you the beating of your life, tony has every. Right to have a girlfriend.'

Chapter 1
Tina ran as fast as she could to her hostel. She opened the door of her room, ran to her bed and jumped on it before breaking down into tears.
'tina,tina waiting dey worry you' asked her roommate kate
'tina tell me now what happened' kate stood up from the chair leave the book she has been trying hard to concentrate on, walked to tina's bed, sat on it, pleading with tina to open up to her.
'tina, tina' yelled sussy as she and juliana ran into the room.
'ye! Watin dey happen, why everybody dey run enter room?'
'see me see wahala oh, me and jully dey for mama bukky restaurant dey eat, small time we see tina they run as if ghost they pursue her. Na in me and jully leave out food they pursue this chick make we know waitin they worry am, abeg girl she don tell you anything' replied sussy panting.
'she has not told me anything oh, she just dey here they cry'
'tina, biko, tell us what is happening we are your friends if you don't tell us who else will you tell remember a problem shared is a problem solved' said sussy while taking a chair to sit on.
'he has done it again, he has done it again, I don't know why he keeps doing this to me?'
'why? Somebody. Please tell me why?' answered kate while raising from the bed her eyes swollen and red.
