Atiku's loyalists are treading the same path they did last election. Bring in a loyal Middle-belter and make him produce Atiku as PDP candidate again.

PDP will not expel Wike. He's like a bull in a China shop. He will destroy the party if not handled carefully. Seyi Makinde is waiting for the completion of his term before he officially joins APC. if Wike is expelled today, Seyi Makinde and another governor will exit PDP.

However, Wike will not declare outright for APC for now. It may come towards the end of this four years. His biggest trophy was to have relegated Rotimi Amaechi. He wouldn't want to loose followers. And his followers want a piece of action from the centre.

Obaseki will not forgive him even if he agrees publicly. I know his kind of politics. It's better not to cross his path at all than to cross and come back to beg for forgiveness.

Shaibu has done the only thing he could do under the circumstance. To have continued with the fight would have been more catastrophic to him.

Shaibu should be vigilant. He should not be carried away by any superficial settlement if he wants to complete his tenure. Obaseki will do him in to get even with him for his effrontery. It may happen if it remains 2 months of their administration when Shaibu's guard is down.

Above all these happenings, governor Godwin Obaseki will try his shot at the presidency during the next election. He knows the secret of APC and PDP will not take any risk with a northern candidate.

I doubt very much if Ogun Assembly will approve such. If you have lived in Ogun state or conversant with their style of politics you will understand why.
