I have not yet seen a tangible reason for this.
the place is even hot and there is racism there.
I heard that their police can flog someone on the road for boozing or stuff like that.
you , as a foreigner may even be deported.

before u go there, think on these things.

Sinapore is a lovely place. It is far cleaner and organise than many EU countries.

And in the night, WAO, you should take a boat trip around; no area boys to rob you.

If you well behave, you will have no problem; but I guess naija screw the benefit. Now you need VISA to go there.

As per racism, you need to solve those among Nigerians first: hausa vs ibo etc.

OBJ had 20,000Naira in his bank account in 1999 and in 2004, his farm was producing $250,000.

What miracle did OBJ perform.

Oh,  and Annenih N300billion to fix road as Minister of Works; we know what happened to Benin-Ore Express way.

This is a sad NEWS but it shows the state of this country called NIGERIA.

what do you expect when you have a sick PRESIDENT?

This nation has fallen ONLY waiting to be buried.

Soon you just need to wear bullet-proof VEST in Nigeria.

Foreign Affairs / Re: Mugabe, When Will The Suffering Of Zimbabweans End? by landis(m): 12:52am On Dec 25, 2008
bawomolo:

so what's going to chance in zimbabwe after the sanctions are improved. would the skilled workers return? will white zimbabweans return with their capital. would land be handed over to legitimate FARMERS. would free and fair elections be held. why isn't cuba and iran as bad as zimbabwe?

please answer this questions.

lies, Nigeria hasn't had a food crisis similar to that of zimbabwe. except u go back to the biafra war. what's up with you guys hyperbole.

you dont know Zim. It is a lovely place with enough mineral resources.

Capital will flow back to negotiate with mugabe for mineral concentions.

this alone will trigger enough HARD currency for them to turn economy around.

MUGBABE should retire but he his NOT THE PROBLEM BUT SANCTIONS.

SANCTION is mainly from US/UK and they bully others to follow like German govt telling the printing company not to do business. Where is the FREE TRADE??

there is nothing to discuss anymore about Zim.

Abacha stole $3bil but WEST turn him to a monster but OBJ stole $16bill and wipe-out ODI village UN gave him a job.
From the above, who did WEST make most money from?

Mubarak is worst than Mugabe but so long he satisfies the WEST, he is good man.

Wake up, AFRICANS!
Foreign Affairs / Re: Mugabe, When Will The Suffering Of Zimbabweans End? by landis(m): 12:28pm On Dec 24, 2008
Bastage:

Will one of the Mugabe apologists please tell me exactly what these sanctions are.

Thank-you.

sample:
No country allowed to sell PMS(Petrol) to Zim.

Let Nigeria sell crude-oil or PMS to Zim and see what USA would do to Naija.

The last company in Germany that was printing their money was FORCED to STOP by pressure from US/UK on Merkel.

A spokesman for Giesecke and Devrient, Hieko Witzke, contacted by telephone at the company's offices in Munich, Germany, said the company had decided to immediately stop supplying Zimbabwe as the result of a recent request by the German government. "We decided to cease deliveries to the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe yesterday," he said. "We have taken the decision in response to an official German government request and international calls for sanctions from the European Union and United Nations."

Now you have it:

WEST would have all Zimbabwe people die just because of Mugabe!
Politics / Re: Mallam Ribadu Dismissed From The Police! by landis(m): 12:19pm On Dec 24, 2008
Ribadu thought he was clever but now in played well into their hands.

He has now being treated the way he treated others. It is simple fact of life.

Ribadu finished himself:

THISDAY gathered from a source close to the PSC that Ribadu was not sacked for going to court, but for going “AWOL” (absent without official leave).
“The PSC did not recommend for his (Ribadu’s) sack because he went to court. If we did that, that would have amounted to contempt of court. He was dismissed for abandoning his duty post in total disregard of the Police Act,” the source said.
The source noted that although Ribadu had gone to court, there was no injunction from the court barring the Nigeria Police Force from posting him, stopping him from going to work or appearing before the disciplinary committee that was constituted by the police high command.

Foreign Affairs / Re: Mugabe, When Will The Suffering Of Zimbabweans End? by landis(m): 10:20am On Dec 24, 2008
Nigeria faced similar sanctions during the Abacha era and didn't get this bad. zimbabwe's problems are more internal than external

VERY VERY VERY WRONG.

let them LIFT SANCTION and you will see difference.

I work in a place that USA basically threaten we stop doing Business with Zim.

They not only IMPOSE sanction but BULLY others to follow(this you will never read in newspapers)

And we know SANCTION only suffer the people.
Politics / Re: US And West Are Stupid - Mugabe by landis(m): 10:15am On Dec 24, 2008
The failure of Mugabe is failure of AFRICAN LEADERS.

It is time to provide a safe passage for him to retire but I do understand that it is not Mugabe causing cholera but  SANCTIONS.

Same was used against people of Iraqi in the hope that they will revolt against Saddam. It never worked.

SANCTION should be declared as act against HUMANITY; the leader never suffer but the ordinary people.

And because they are too weak due to sanction they cant revolt against their leader which the WEST wants.

Ribadu can go back to his master; OBJ in OTA.

He did 'hatcher-job' for OBJ and did not fight any corruption for Nigeria!

his days were numbered the moment his master left.

Good ridance to bad rubbish.

If you want to fight corruption, it must be total not selective.

OBJ should have been first to be behind BARS.
